Good Points: Privately owned and operated. Is located at the heart of County Cork. Ideal for quiet, relaxing evenings. Beautifully located for leisurely walks. Excellent home-made meals. Value for money.
Bad Points: The only small, very small, downside (?), is that Greenfields is ideally located for that quiet, idyllic rest. This means that it wouldn't lend itself to those who prefer the noise and bustle of a busy resort or town centre. But who would go to Ireland to be exposed to town noise?
General comments: Privately owned and operated by Ann and David, Greenfields is located at the heart of County Cork. Ideal for quiet, relaxing evenings (a wood-burner in the lounge for those crisp autumn and winter evenings) and beautifully located for those leisurely, ambling walks through the lanes. Only recently built (2003), Greenfields offers superbly comfortable rooms and excellent home-made meals. Ann and David devoutly believe in giving value for money. They are also regularly in touch with some local musicians, who keep them posted as to the whereabouts of their next Caleigh. The village of Kildorerry is about a 10-minute walk away. Whether it's just an overnight stop while touring, or a longer stay to explore the region, Greenfields and its owners will provide the warmest of welcomes.
