Anthony Sylvan Pools are not even worth the star. disorganised, they changed their project manager on site( or fire them) every other day. no communications, try to call their offices and you need a good luck to get hold of any one. they make you sign on this electronic machine where only superman can ready through the screen. they are the worst. i would not give them abathup to build rather than a swimming pool. the only thing they are good at is collecting their money before the work even completed. once they take their money good luck

The installation of the pool was generally good, but there is no attempt to provide any follow-up customer service if you have a problem. I have been trying for over a year to get someone from "ustomer service" (an oxymoron at Anthony Sylvan pools) to give me a return call

We bought a house with a pool built by Anthony and Sylvan in 2006. The pool deck is rusting (wrong type of steel?) and cracks have developed in the pool. We had an independent inspector out and he suggested that the pool was built with substandard materials and workmanship was likely to have been poor. A&S has told us that the pool is out of warranty! It is only 2 years old!- Read tom69's review (77 words)

Our Anthony Sylvan pool was built by Atlanta division. When pool was being built, forman did not communicate well with subcontractor. Construction of pool hit the septic field. Every piece of equipment has been replaced atleast once due to parts breaking. Calls to corporate result in a nice "we will look into this" but so far nothing happened. I would not recommend this company and am disappointed with the lack of customer support I have received.- Read cyprusms's review (88 words)

In my Anthony Sylvan Pools case, tiles cracking, loose and falling off. A warranty repair made to one section of tile lasted one year. Then I was unable to get them back out to do more warranty repair work. Only a complaint to the BBB got a response from them. They promised to fix the cause of the cracking tiles (no expansion joint between pavers and coping) only for them to decide not to do this and only repair the cracked tiles and NOT touch the 50+ sections of tile that are loose. They sen ...- Read FedUpWithAandS's review (174 words)

My Pool is 1 year old and Anthony Sylvan have stated they understand my frustration but that they can't help me because it's a chemical problem. The 4 foot straightline crack down the side isn't from chemicals, surely?! Also, the only two people that ever touched my pool were the two cleaning services that Anthony Sylvan used to do their start ups. I thought if good enough for Anthony Sylvan good enough for me.- Read Patti Hamilton's review (131 words)

My pool from Anthony Sylvan Pools isn't even completed and it has been a very disappointing experience already. There seems to be very little communication between the project manager and the contractor which has caused contractors to leave the site due to not having the right equipment, not being able to do there job because someone else's job had to be done first, contractors not coming when we expected them to come. It has been 5 weeks now, I am 95% payed up, stupid me and never again!

From our experience, having the right the project manager is the key. If you are not comfortable with him/her leave it. In our case they didn't stick to schedule and were disorganized. I thought all cost were covered, but different cost appeared later on. I also recommend you really take a close look at your contract so you are completely aware of where you stand. I found customer service and warranty were both poor.- Read Guest's review (85 words)

My original contract with Anthony Sylvan Pools was for 56k including escavating. When they came out I was told that it was going to cost an additional 18k because I had big boulders in the ground and that it will take more time than they expected. Thinking back I wish I would have not done the deal. It was too expensive. I figured that since they where there and they had taken down my fence and my yard was a mess I decided to go forward. I have since called service for minor issues and they ...- Read prayers1's review (149 words and 1 comment)

I had Anthony Sylvan Pools build me a pool in 2001 and have had cracking occur in in the plaster since year two. They finally replastered the pool in 2004 after I had to badger them for 2 years. The cracks returned in 2007 and have been determined to be structural in nature. It is so hard to deal AS that I am seriously considering ripping out the pool and replacing with a pool from a reputable local contractor.I would suggest anyone considering using AS for a pool is misguided at best! We signed an agreement with Anthony & Sylvan, on 6/23/05. The original contract price was 62k. We have had continual problems with the pool leaking and have on many occasions attempted to have it corrected. In fact, last year we finally contacted our attorney to try and settle this matter. He was unable to even get a response from A&S. The following is a brief overview of our history. Our early construction went extremely well, but the first concern was towards Oct. '06, when we neared compl ...- Read markrnaustin's review (918 words and 1 comment)

Would never recommend Anthony Sylvan Pools. We might have a pool now, but it isn't a very nice one and especially the tiling is very poor in my eyes.- Read Guest's review (47 words)

Absolutely Horrendous from Start to Finish. Our project manager delivered very poor service to us. The job itself was a disaster from the poor craftsmanship to mess all over our property and the folks at Sylvan didn't seem to care about all this.- Read badsylvanpools's review (50 words)

We signed the deal in February for the pool to be ready Memorial weekend. We did have a wet spring and that put everything behind schedule. But it got really crazy. We went through 3 different project managers, so there was never one on site. Thank goodness that I could be there most times to see the problems and broken underground pipes, which would not have been pointed out. So the pool wasn't completed until October and we had to fill it due to the plaster finish only to close it for the ...- Read Guest's review (230 words)

The "process" of getting the pool built was terrible. The project manager was rarely on-site when a contractor was there. They did what they want, how they want with no regard to what was discussed with the PM.
Specifically. They destroyed our irrigation system after I personally spoke with the contractors and they told me they would turn up any broken pipes so we could get it repaired easily. They didn't. Instead, I found broken pipes all over my yard, and more was actually pulled out of th ...- Read koikeeper's review (244 words)

I went with Anthony Sylvan Pools over Blue Haven and others because I thought they were more of a premium swimming pool builder and would do great work, with great service etc. Well, I probably could have saved myself $10,000 or more and gone with someone else, and I may have had a better experience. Also, their pool design and how they built up an area along my fence line caused my fence to fall over, so now I have to spend $2000 replacing the fence.
It took many calls to get the last few ...- Read texasmcse's review (122 words)

In addition to not ever being able to talk to anyone "live", our pool project has begun and yesterday, gunite was done. But before that we had the following problems:
1. Just before excavation, we had a week of heavy rains, causing our back yard to become very soggy. The excavator arrived the day after the rains stopped. Before he unloaded his bobcat, I had shown him the condition of our soggy back yard, also tried to call Anthony Sylvan to express our concerns about him digging in such s ...- Read acreone's review (718 words)

We have had nothing but problems from start to finish.
It has now been going on for 3 years, and we can not even start our pool for the summer of 2007, because of so many things not working properly.
I would not recommend Anthony Sylvan Pools.- Read bethj's review (57 words)

Overall, delivery of promises made to me (paying customer) was terrible! Once they had their checks from me, it was one empty promise after another. Each time the scheduler began to speak, she always started with, "I can't apologize enough." It was like a recording. I took a day off from work to be at home for the scheduled final step, and they didn't show or call. This was AFTER I phoned Anthony Sylvan Pools to remind them they promised to come out that day. That was at noon. The schedul ...- Read km6pt's review (140 words)
