Good Points: It was well illustrated, it had excellent breakdown of the basic techniques, gave me some good drills to use that I have adopted into my MMA workouts plus an excellent two page work out that I have only in recent weeks been able to finish without collapsing. One of the best books I have read regarding the sweet science. Topped up with some nice humour.
Bad Points: Books on the fighting arts and training are always going to involve aspects you don't agree with, this is mainly down to capability and personal opinion, however this book I give full marks too, no faults at all.
General comments: A wonderful piece of work Mr Oliver, I am not a boxer in the pure aspect but use boxing as part of overall fighting.
I have a friend who had some work published and they said "The best compliment you can give an author is to recommend there work to other people". That case sir I have paid you that compliment as there are a number of people both here and in Finland who own a copy.
Good work.

I was looking for a book to provide me with information from an experienced person, this book has improved my knowledge and helped me create new ideas to incorporate into my workouts, has made me laugh and best of all inspired me to get moving. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants improve on their boxing techniques and fitness.

Ian Oliver, Boxing Fitness - I borrowed an advance copy of this book from my gym, & I think I will definitely buy it when it comes out. I am not a boxer - the closest I've got would be the boxercise classes at my local gym! - but I found the fitness advice really helpful. Apart from a couple of chapters on boxing equipment & some technique, the book is really about how to get as fit as a boxer, not how to box. It provides a fitness training programme, which can be adapted to suit different level ...
