I bought a Porsche 924S from Barons Classic Car Auctions early in 2011. On inspection day I was a little cautious about spending my hard earned cash so asked one of the Directors for advice; He could not recommend the car more & revealed he had worked on it prior to sale. All it needed was a new back box to the exhaust and it would happily 'get me to Scotland and back'! On picking the car up this turned out to be a complete lie. It would not go into gear and needed a new clutch, over heated,... (read more)

I am amazed that it has taken Barons-Auctions.com over 6 years to fully establish themselves. When one considers that this company charges less than half the fees of people like Bonhams and Christies and also pay you in only 8 days. Some of the larger houses can take up to 90 days to pay. One particular auction house is known to have failed to pay out £1.7 million but they are still trading. Barons is as good and probably better than most of the competition. I recently acquired a car from Barons. They could hardly be more professional. Nice people, very helpful. I will most certainly deal with them again. They I am sure go from strength to strength.

I also have had dealings with Barons Auctioneers, and I found them to be extremely professional in every way.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and proficient, which helps to put the customer (both purchaser and seller) at ease.
Barons in my opinion certainly deserve praise in a business, which has in recent times proven to be a bit of a mine field for some of the larger auction houses.

I look forward to further dealings with Barons in 2007 and beyond.

This is a typical reaction from someone with Mini money and Rolls Royce aspirations. As with all of the classic auction houses, everything is sold as seen and that is made perfectly clear before anyone decides to bid. This chap probably paid peanuts for the car and expected it to perfect, even though it was probably 25 years old and well used.
I have bought from Barons and recommended them to many friends who have all been very satisfied.
