We just returned from a delightful week in the Dominican Republic. However I'm not satisfied with the Sunquest rep in La Romana, M F. A lovely energetic lady, she nevertheless recommended a terrible booze cruise excursion that included two very long walks (four if you count both ways) and hours on a crowded catamaran with 3 very young children and 5 adults, 4 of whom have serious back problems which she was told about. “Worst Travel Company!”

WORST TRAVEL COMPANY! I went on a vacation with my boyfriend back in December 2016 where we ran into troubles coming back home. Sunquest has failed to offer any sort or resolution or compensation for the issues we encountered. We had decent trip for 7 days in Mexico at the Bahia Principe Coba and was supposed to return home to Toronto on Dec 19, however we had some major issues for the transport to the airport. I believe I must bring to your attention how disappointed I am with your service once I arrived at the resort in Mexico. I was under the understanding that I would have help with making bookings and getting information from a sunquest representative. I visited the appropriate area where my sunquest rep was supposed to be.. I say supposed to be because the entire 7 days that I was at the resort I never saw her once. “Sunquest no recommended ”

Booked holiday through red tag. Sun quest was who we went through for our vacation to Mexico, riviera maya. Departed Cagary at 8 am to Vancouver. Got to Vancouver with half hour to make it to our connecting flight from other side of airport. Reaching it as they were boarding. No time to pick up food. Got to cancun at 6 pm and was told to go straight to Sunquest rep for our uberservice to resort. “American customs in Miami ”

I experienced going through security yesterday when I was just connecting flights to return to Canada from Mexico...I was put through 3 stages of security...then they put me in the round exam 5x s...then fristed me from head to toe in every part of my body in front of everyone...I was frightened and called to my husband, they told him if he moved towards me they would arrest him...I was very upset and treated like a criminal...when I was no even staying in the US at all. “40 minute wait at airport”

Sunquest vacations packages include transportation from airport to hotel however once we exited the airport our representative was difficult to find among the throngs of people and other tour operators. He was too busy texting to hold up the Sunquest sign. Once speaking with him, we found out that our bus was not even there to pick us up, it was "onthe way", he said. What?? Our group travelled to Samana in DR for 2 weeks at the end of January. Everything was fine until we met our rep, we were assigned rooms that were not close like we had requested, the manager called our Sunquest Rep who refused to do anything we were on our own!!! “Things have gone down”

I booked a trip to Mexico from December 23rd to January 1st. At one time booking with sunquest, you would get picked up in a bus, they would have beer and refreshments on your way to your resort. Now, you get picked up with a van, a drive that constantly talks on is phone, and blares bad music. Then you have to waste your time and go to some sort of breif on your hotel and hand in a piece of paper to make sure that you are picked up. The person writing the review is a idiot, what does any of the problems listed have to do with Sunquest? The problems are with the resort and services they offered. Maybe next time the person should not be so cheap and go to a better resort.

“Elite Plus Don't waste your money”

We paid for elite plus service. Arrived at YYZ to be the last served only after waiting in the regular line for service. So much for Priority check in. Next they told us to be at the gate and hour and a half before the plane was supposed to board. We waited almost two hours before boarding the plane. Please don't waste my time I have better things to do than have you waste my time. “Bad service, do not book with Sunquest!”

We just returned from a trip booked through Sunquest. They changed our resort at the very last minute and offered a Junior suite in the replacing hotel which we never got, we were instead lodged in the cheapest part of the resort. Has any one else sufferred as a consequence of questionable company practises of Sunquest vacations. Is the following common practise in the industry: They sold my wife and I a vacation package for a 5-star resort that was not even built however (Ocean Sands Hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic) and didn't tell us anything until less than two weeks before our departure date. The person at the office in Jamaica was a godsend to me when my luggage was stolen in Negril. She made sure that i was taken care of and even brought me books to read and drove me when i needed to go somewhere. She was a huge help and i appreciate it immensely. “Will not be using Sunquest again”

I returned recently from my vacation to the Mayan Riviera I had booked through itravel2000.com with Sunquest. “Sunquest bait ”

We booked direct flights to Jamaica on WestJet and our agent called saying they changed our return flight from a direct Westjet flight to a 2 hour stop over in JFK on a delta flight. I am traveling with 2 young kids and pay extra for direct flights. I called Sunquest and all they say is its in our policy to change. Sunquest is the worst travel company ever. They offer what they call the Roulette 5. Charge a 5 star price and then put you in a 4 star at best hotel. Tried to contact them to complain as the hotel they assigned is clearly on their website as a 4 star and they basically told me I was out of luck. Also, wanted some information at the resort. “Unable to have seat selection prior to leaving”

To all travellers, We haven't left yet, we will be going on a Sunquest vacation over Christmas 2012. My problem with them, and Expedia is that I am unable to pre-select our seats on our flights. “30 business days seriously!”

We were scheduled to go to Aruba the week of March 19th. Unfortunately a family member got quite sick and we were unable to go. I am not surprise by what you have or still going through & I thank you for letting everyone know about this company & there deceitful strategies cause I was looking for a great deal for my vacation next March in Mexico & when I saw there new promotion ''we pay the taxes'' I thought this could be good for my group but was I ever disapointment when I saw that they only moved the taxes over into there price.Basically the customer is still paying for the taxes it just doesn't show up under taxes.What company in 2012 would dare pull a stunt like this I guess now they are 2 for 2 this year. I guess this confirms it they are a devios company with no respect for the past or future customers.

Went with seven freinda Thomas Cook (sunquest) Stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe Coba & the trip was wonderful. The only complaint was a lot of turbulance coming home and the flight was very loud and a lot of rattling during the homebound flight- do not know if the plane was just an older plane or it was mostly because of wind.
