Thomas Cook booked coach tours in Turky on our behalf. The night before the 1st tour was due to go they cancelled. They also cancelled the other tours. We were promised refund by local agent next day. Refund receipt not issued for 11 days, just prior to departure. Back home wrote to Customer Services - letter from Mark Atherton "Customer Relations Executive", full of platitudes and stating "Our resort management team have confirmed the refund will now be processed by end of week ending 17 July". ...- Read Bruce Tigger's review (121 words)

on the flight on saturday 7 november 2009 from fuerteventura to brussel ( 21u10)
there was a delay of one hour without any warning or appologize, they act like it did not happen at all
and there was a blond lady ( about 45 years) with long hair that was very unfriendly and used her time to start making fights with the passengers and with us, she was a belgium woman responsible for the flight, she refused to say her name, we had to ask her about three times to be more friendly, but she became onl ...- Read Guest's review (135 words)

First of all, Thomas Cook planes are cramped and uncomfortable for a 4 1/2 hour journey! We stayed at the Majesty Tuana near Fethiye, Turkey. The hotel and staff were fantastic, clean and couldnt do enough for you. We decided to do some excursions so picked up a leaflet, and decided what we could afford to do. Unknown to us we had been given a listing for another holiday company who were offering exactly the same excursions as Thomas Cook at nearly half the price! So having been given the new p ...- Read Guest's review (321 words)

The worst part about my holiday was that i booked it through Thomas Cook, the first and last time I do that, cramped on their unbelievably tiny and dirty planes.
Hotel pickup was a disaster, i had to get 2 buses to the airport because of the nasty cross-eyed Thomas Cook chav 'in charge' of the coach. She was even too lazy to walk into the lobby and call us, so we had no idea it was our coach, and she would offer no information on how i could get to the airport, probably because she was cluel ...- Read Guest's review (132 words)

I had got a 'Best of Europe 2009' tour booked with Thomas Cook at Jaipur (India) and a cheque amounting to Rs. 50,000 (for two persons - the other being my wife) was deposited with them towards advance payment. A certificate to this effect was issued to me on 2 September 2009.
But, due to the service negligence on its part (supply of wrong travel documents - the transit entry pass for Dubai issued in my wife's name had a photograph of some other lady - and that too at the last moment), we coul ...- Read Guest's review (231 words)

We booked our holiday in The Algarve,Portugal with our local Thomas Cook store where they were helpful BUT after paying as we were going on holiday within a fortnight we found that we were charged a late booking fee, when we complained to the manageress of the store about the late booking fee we were told that this was for the privilege of paying in the store. We did follow this one up and got £43 back from the £60 we paid for the late booking.
Now looking on the internet at the compan ...- Read Guest's review (140 words)

Our family (6 adults) have just returned from a 16 day canadian escorted tour (Canadian Odyessy) which started off in Toronto, transferred to Calgary to tour the National Parks, Lakes, Glaciers, staying in Banff, Emerald Lake, Jasper, Questen, Whistler and Vancouver. During the route we undertook a 2 day Goldleaf Rocky Mountaineer trip and joined in many optional tours (all reasonably priced) and additional activities we booked ourselves, including NHL hockey games. We have truly had the holiday ...- Read Guest's review (192 words)

THOMAS (WE WILL RIP YOU OFF) COOK
My wife and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Corfu. When we booked our holiday we elected to pay the surcharge to have an extra 5 Kgs of luggage capacity to safeguard against paying for excess baggage on our return. When we arrived at the airport to come home to my surprise the lady at the check in desk asked for my suitcase and my flight bag to be put on the scales together and informed me I was 7 Kgs overweight and that I had to pay an excess cha ...- Read Mike Huntley's review (195 words and 1 comment)

We travelled with Thomas Cook to Cayo Coco, Cuba in August/September 2009. In total there were 37 of us booked over three weeks ( 20 for first 2 weeks and 17 for second two weeks with 1 week overlapping in middle). The holiday was for my sisters wedding.
The first group were delayed for 7 hours from Gatwick, the second group were delayed for 7 and a half hours from Gatwick.
On the day of the wedding there was no wedding cake ( after being asked what type of cake she would like two days previou ...- Read Guest's review (133 words)

We booked a Thomas Cook flight for 2, 7 days to Kos, staying in self-catering accommodation at Kamari Beach. We did this BEFORE we read the reviews so we were expecting the worst. We were pleasantly surprised. We managed to get extra leg room on the outward flight at the cost of £40!The service was ok on the outward flight, but coming back from Kos to Manchester it was very professional and helpful. We got the diabetic meals we had ordered, legroom was not great, but ok for a medium-haul f ...- Read Guest's review (134 words)

Had a great 2 week holiday in crete ruined by our experiance at the airport. Arrived early but was told after a lot of descusion that THEY had the wrong list, we were not on it, we were not getting on that flight. We were told we had to wait and see if some people did not turn up. she was the rudest woman ever, no sympathy, it was all our fault. We had tickets i could not understand why we had no seats. Everyone else was getting processed, although they had no pre-booked seats imfo. But we were t ...- Read julxs's review (261 words)

Flights were on time with amazing staff. The reps were really nice and always at the hotel packed with loads of great advice and tips. The hotel, for a 3 star self catering hotel, was clean and the staff where very friendly. I cant fault Thomas Cook, I always travel with them and they are the best! When ever I travel with any other operator I have been left disspointed. Honestly, I cannot believe all these bad reviews, I travel with them 3 times a year and had no problems!- Read Guest's review (88 words)

NEVER AGAIN!
Arrived to what we thought was a three star all inclusive hotel in Majorca only to find what can only be desribed as awful.
The sheets were bloodstained, ashtrays and used glasses were left for days before being emptied and there was a foul odour of sick throughout the complex.
Just when we thought we had seen enough, we opened the rotting sliding door only to find a wrung out pair of pants on the balcony area. NICE!!!!!!
This Thomas Cook hotel was not just oversubscribed but po ...- Read Guest's review (143 words)
