“Transfers included not. ”

Booked holiday on direct holidays website last night to go to sharm el sheik in November advertised as transfers included. As I went through booking process holiday extras come up with transfers as 44 quid for 2 of us. Checked the site again holiday for the date advertised as transfers included. So carried on booking as a taxi from airport to resort is only a tenner. When invoice came through no transfers included. So spoke to a "customer advisor" this morning. An appalling company!!! I am absolutely appalled and shocked at the customer care that this company has or should I say does not have. My mum booked a holiday in July with my step father and two other family members to Turkey, a year in advance of their holiday. 8 days later my step father sadly passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly. “Never use Thomas Cook”

I booked my honeymoon through Thomas Cook. First the hotel was changed, but instead of calling they just sent an email with no details about the hotel or the type of room/ They then called with just over four weeks to go to say the flight had been cancelled - no reason given - and that we could book something else with them or get a refund. Apparently we aren't owed compensation as they gave us more than two-days notice. Real pain getting the money back. I will never use Thomas Cook again… Read Full Review

I booked a holiday with Thomas Cook roughly two months ago to a lovely hotel which my girlfriend and I were extremely looking forward to. We had booked to go for a week, leaving on Wednesday afternoon. We booked a holiday with them, for the wife and I and our 2kids, 13yr old girl and 8yr old son, we paid over £3000 For a holiday to sharm 5* , on arrival we got to our room and only 2 beds in the room We complained to the rep and where told to take it up with thomas cook when we got home We then had to pay £260 to upgrade to a room with enough beds to sleep the kids Please be aware of the them There are a lot better tour operators out there so don't book with thomas cook !!!!… Read Full Review

I logged a complaint with Thomas Cook nearly 8 weeks ago and have not received a response. We went to the Sol Nessebar Hotel in Bulgaria. My complaint involved two aspects one being we were given under cooked pork and received food poisoning and the second which as you will understand is more important my 8 year old daughter being put in danger. “Works inflight service on earth ”

Flight was pleasant till meal times. We had no veggie option . Kids meals were served with no water/soft drink till half an hour later ( so you literally can choke ) while you're waiting. Pressed light for attention, but none of the cabin crew came to ask what I needed : mind you the light was on for over 10 minutes! All I needed was another glass of water. “Fantastic family holiday at Vasia Beach Hotel and Spa,...”

This summer our family had a fantastic holiday at at the Vasia Beach Hotel and Spa in Sissi in Crete. The hotel is classed as 4* by Thomas Cook, but we would class it as 4+. We think that the hotel was much better than it looked on the website and in the brochures. The strong points of this hotel are: Our family suite was fantastic with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living area (which had two sofa beds)*It has 4 large pools and 2 small pools. Found out though an email to hotel i was going to in October (25th) they were actually closing on the 15th! You can imagine how annoyed i was. Went to local TC shop, seems they didnt know that an email was sent to them on 5th june, it had gone into the invoice file instead of ordinary emails? Initially the girl was helpful in looking for alternatives for us but got fed up after we turned a few down that were not suitable. We had to cancel holiday and are totally disappointed. Contacted the customer service to pre-book flight seats on my trip to Turkey as the confirmation email noted. After being on hold for 30mins I was told to contact a different flight provider as the flight service provider Onur air deal with this flight - who's head office is in Turkey with extremely expensive call charges. I've been with them before and they were not so good. Unfortunately they only do the hotel I want to go in. There is a big group of us and I wanted the price breaking down so I could tell each family. She said they were not allowed to do that. Why not is that not part of their job? Surely it's not that hard when she has looked. All I got was the total figure so now I have no idea how much it is per child or per adult. Booked a holiday to Tunisia for myself and my 2 children. Booked the whole package off the thomas cook website. Arrived at manchester airport at 3am to check in for the 6amflight. Only to be told that we can't be found on there system!!! The flight went without us. They kept me and my extremely tearful children's waiting till 10.30 am ... 7 and a half hours later! “Disgusting attitude, appalling cust service response....”

The extra I paid to choose my airline seats was a rip-off. There was very little choice of seats and, when we checked-in, our seats had been allocated to someone else. The airline staff didn't care, didn't think it was serious, made the flight home very uncomfortable and they even spilled tea all over me. To complain, they CHARGE you 12p per minute on their complaints line!!! They also charge you a premium rate to call their travel agent branches when booking your holiday. This bunch are to be avoided like the plague! I booked a holiday to Menorca via the Thomas Cook website but when they HAD TAKEN ALL MY MONEY it was confirmed that we were actually booked with Flexible Trips. This is an absolute NIGHTMARE of a company.
