In my opinion, the Feinwerkbau 124 Sport is powerful, accurate and value for money.

The only bad point it must weigh in 9lbs

Great, great gun as is above it is too heavy, say an uncle gave a 14 year old boy this gun, he couldn't use it, see my point?

I have a dozen or so good airguns and if I could only have one the 124 would be it. Feels and looks great. Superb trigger compared with most new models. Precision machined barrel that only lets you insert pellets straight into chamber (real tight fit).
The gun is now fairly rare and because mine is in near mint condition I sometimes hate to take it out and shoot it.

Overall a superb gun in its day. Used to compete with the Weirach, but was better in most respects. Looks great too, even 25 years on. Accuracy is now poor compared to non-spring guns, but hold it right, let it rest and jump as it wants and you can get terrific accuracy. Great kit.

I bought my Feinwerkbau 124 sport in 1978 after seeing it in airgun world and still use it. The only thing thats really against it is its light weight Proper handling does over come this short coming. Just let the gun rest in your hand with the trigger hand resting against the grip make sure your hold is exactly the same each time and you will be rewarded with with tight groups, gently squeeze the trigger until she goes off she will buck a bit I'm still amazed she still performs so well, in fact ...

The Feinwerkbau 124 is a .177 cal. airgun that has been long discontinued. Its sibling is the 127 which is a .22 cal. and was discontinued at the same time which was about 1990-1991. It was a definite Magnum airgun of its time rated @ 780-830 fps. I just got mine recently and the piston seal was gone so I sent it out and had a Maccari kit installed. The, "tuner" informed me that the piston had begun to gall so in addition to the spring and seal the piston is now buttoned as well. SMOOTH to cock ...

I also got my Feinwerkbau 124 Sport used back in the 80's. I had an old beat up 3030 I didn't need and traded it for the sport and three pocket knives and a pocket watch.. lol. This is the finest air gun I have ever owned. The power is amazing and is incredibly accurate even after 20 years.

Bought the Feinwerkbau 124 Sport second hand not knowing what I was buying, paid £60 for the gun including 4-32 sights and tin of pellets. The gun has turned out to be outstanding, drops rabbits at 60yds without concern (they don't have chance to run). Regularly go out shooting with Nigel Penn (see Ripley XL9 review), and can match his ability with the Tx200. Outstanding gun and worth every penny.
