Hello,
I'd just like to introduce myself as Review Centre's Travel Accessories Expert. If there is anything you want to know about this category, please feel free to ask me a question. I will do my utmost to give you the best possible answer.
So, here is a little bit about me. I am an avid traveller, you name it, I've been there, or want to go there. Travelling abroad is one of my main passions in life. I'm the most compact packer there is, I can easily fit a weeks holiday into a cabin suitcase. The trick? Always pack travel accessories that are built with travel in mind.
I have written a few guides with travel accessories in mind, so please do take a look before you embark on a journey. If you have any ideas for other guides you would like to read about, just send an email to [email protected], and I will have a look at them for you.

If you want durable lightweight luggage that will continue to look good and last, then Samsonite is the brand to choose. Whilst there is only a limited color selection, the inclusion of TSA locks, durable stitching and handles that never break and wheels that work after 100's of kilometres of travle, mean this is ideal for frequent travelers. My first one has done well over a 200 flights in 55 countries with the associated on and off loading, baggage carousels and wear and tear. Nearly as good as the day I bought it.

One of the wheels on my Samsonite carry on disintegrated after very light usage.

This is nowadays the attitude of Samsonite customer service. We bought a premium range product (laptop rucksack DLX4 with wheels) aimed at business travellers. It comes with a 5yr warranty and is 14 months old. It is little used as hand-luggage and was never checked-in. The problem is the soft fabric used on the bottom of the rucksack which sustained an approx. 5cm tear. Clearly, one would expect that the bottom of a premium product which naturally has to be resistant to many surfaces, should be made from robust material. Not so! A Samsonite store sent it to their "independent" repair center (they stress that they have nothing to do with the repair center although obviously paying them). It was returned to us as it is with the comment it is irreparable and not covered by warranty. They did not even offer to repair for a fee. We took it up with the Samsonite Customer Service who repeated this following a call to the repair center (claim). They also pointed out that they had no other customer complaints about this issue and could not assist us. Unfortunately, we also sustained another Samsonite casualty during the same trip: for the second time, a Samsonite hard-shell suitcase cracked. This already was the replacement for a suitcase that had the same fate. Product quality seems to go downhill. You waste your time hoping to get a service from them! All our luggage was from Samsonite - its time to move on.

I recently called Samsonite after my new piece of luggage which was the hard surface cracked after one use. I was told I had to send my luggage to Atlanta, GA which was 85.00 to mail to be looked at. I was called by the repair place who said they could fix it but it would cost 110.00 plus 35.00 to ship it back. Of course I just said ship it back which was another 35.00. The point of all of this I think they should have sent me a new bag. I received this luggage for 25 years of service with my company. Pretty sad its useless now.

I purchased a case for Samsung note pro and payed extra money for the fast delivery (next day delivery) after 4 days nothing showed up with some silly reasons! I asked them to refund me the extra delivery cost I payed but they ignored that bit! And didn't apologised for the disappointment! Anyway I asked for full refund and not to deliver the case. I can't trust samsonite.co.uk anymore.

I bought this case, used it twice. Fabric developed holes in two places along the seems. Samsonite assessed it with their 'independent' company and refused to repair or replace. Not fit for purpose, not robust enough to cope with airline travel. Avoid. Samsonite customer service is poor, they do not abide by the sale of goods act and believe it is acceptable to sell cases that are useless after two flights. AVOID.

Of-course people tend to write in when dissatisfied- but if you offer a 10 year warranty then you should honor this- all those videos to show the strength of the bags during rigorous testing - poppycock- mine had two plane rides- just 2- FRAYED ALONG BORDER EDGE-lasted just under 5 months!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I am using Samsonite suitcases for many years in all my business travels. When I'm having shorter leisure trips I usually take just a backpack (from Samsonite or other manufacturers depending on trip type). When I go to long business trip over few continents with great climate change etc - Samsonite Polycarbonate is the best option! It's extremelly lightweight, so after all I can take more baggage without paying extra, and it's very easy and handy in transportation. I tried many different suitcases because I travel quite often, and Samsonite Polycarbonate are the best I ever had!

I purchased the Aeris Spinner 68cm/25inch Samsonite suitcase online and found the website really easy to use with lots of information. I have been away with this case 3 times so far and it is still as good as new. I can happily recommend this case, and Samsonite in general as I have a couple of other various size suitcases and find they are the best brand for durabilty and choice! Thanks guys keep up the good work!

I bought the hardcase Aeris Spinner 75cm/28inch Black and after one trip the lock was broken. The repair shop said that this is quite common. The locks and latches are all made of flimsy easy to break plastic. And to think I bought this suitcase for added security...

I have three Samsonite cases, a large medium and a small cabin size one, The big old one, Over 15 years old hardly ever gets used, we (my wife and I) use the smaller two for holidays and intend to get maybe 2 more, a medium and a small one, We are waiting for a sale, because although they are excellent quality it comes with a premium price, We have never had one burst or let us down even when packed impossibly full, Thay are great suitcases which we can rely on

Bought a Samsonite handluggage (forgot wich one) couple years ago and it still looks like new. Ít's a well thought out product with excellent quality. Because of my good experience I now also bought the Aeris Upright 71. Big (maybe go for one size smaller next time), with a good feel to it. Just one trip and went fine. Expect it will keep going just as good as my handluggage is doing. Possibility to order every part of a product of Samsonite via my.samsonite.com for free is a great service also.

My last Samsonite bag was great, surviving over 200 international flights before it finally fell apart. So, another Samsonite case was in order. OK, the Paradiver looks cool, but it is pretty impractical for using to hold luggage. For a bag of its size, you don’t get that much stuff in to it & what you do get in will always be very creased up when you get to your destination. After only 7 months & 50 international flights it is looking quite tired.

With some trepidation (having read other reviews) I sent my 2yr old case to the repair centre in Maidenhead, expecting that: a) it would take ages to be fixed and returned, and b) a haggle over it being a warranty repair (a piece had broken off the handle assembly). Not only was it fixed with no quibble, but it was returned so quickly (within 72hrs) we had to check that it had actually been to Maidenhead and hadn't just been returned by the courier in error! Would have given this 5 stars but for having to pay £12 for the courier service, despite it being warranty work, and the the collection "window" was the whole day. But taken all round, pretty impressed.

Received a Samsonite briefcase for a Christmas present from my wife and it was too large so I wanted to return it and get a slightly smaller Samsonite one. However as more than 14 days had passed since the purchase I was told that under no circumstances would returns or for that matter exchanges be accepted. I find this incredible that a business of Samsonite size and reputation do not allow extended returns over the Christmas period as most other retailers do. I am now stuck with a briefcase that I cannot use and cannot be returned, not only that being Samsonite branded it was not cheap! My wife chose Samsonite thinking that they were a quality brand who would look after their customers, how wrong she was!

Being an avid traveller, I always wanted a sturdy travel bag that's tough enough to withstand the rough handling by aircraft ground staff and I found Samsonite bags to be good. Only thing is they need to put in strong zippers and reduce their prices. Rest all good.
