Everbank Internet Banking is the absolute worst bank among the few dozen I have ever dealt with in my life. All sorts of fees are attached to the money market account, there's no interest rate info on the online account page (and they give you a ridiculous answer why it's not available), and they experience frequent technical problems (opting out of their emails doesn't work, alerts for me to view secure messages from them that don't exist). Money transfers in and out of the account take way longer than every other bank i've used to get finalized. The interest rate (which currently is not the best out there, by the way) is not worth the hassle !!

Although I've used Everbank Internet Banking three times now to finance a home purchase, I can say that I will not use them ever again due to poor customer service. Slow and unresponsive service makes them unattractive despite fairly good rates.

I applied Yield Pledge Money Market application in December 2008. It took around 4 weeks for EverBank to set up my account. Finally, EverBank e-mailed me on January 23, 2009 and said they would send the account welcome kit to me within approximately 1 week. Now, 26 days has passed, I still do not have the account welcome kit and check book. I feel that the service I've received from EverBank has been really terrible. I am thinking of closing this account, but I do not even known my account num ...

Pays good interest on basic accounts. Allows the small investor to hold foreign currency and gold without paying a storage fee for the gold. This bank isn't going to default or need the FDIC insurance it offers.

It took about 4 weeks to establish the online money market account, setup a linked external account, and make an external funds transfer. If it didn't take only 5 days to do the same with Capital One Direct maybe I wouldn't be so frustrated. After 3 months I intend on withdrawing my money and closing the account.

The interest rates are great currently at 4.75%. I think a lot of the negative comments are mostly about foreign investments and are dated from a year ago. I have had nothing but a positive rewarding experience so far with customer service and the attentitive attitude from the bank in general. Plus I checked their CAEL rating (Financial stability) and its more solid than most of the financial institutions out there.
If you are looking for a place to set your finances to have your money work for ...

Despite being an internet bank, many important transactions require a letter or fax. Overall, customer service is terrible. We had to make several calls to open up an account. Protocols for bank transactions didn't seem clear enough for me.

I opened a Everbank Internet Banking www.everbank.com checking account and then bought some "unallocated gold" through their world banking service. This went smoothly, if a little slowly. I did get all the documents they mailed (and they mailed a LOT of different envelopes). I then tried to buy more gold a few weeks later, couldn't find any info on how to do it online. Had to call. They took my order but it was over a week in executing. Maybe I am spoiled by fast execution in my stock acco ...

I submitted my mortgage application with the credit card that they ask for in the end. They sent me a confirmation that the loan was approved and a loan officer will call. No calls for 3 days. I call them to ask what was happening... they say the can't find my information.. After 3 days of calling they finally find my information. They never called me back even though they said they will call me in 15 min. After they found my information ... they said they cannot offer me the rate I locked on. ...

I called Everbank Internet Banking at the end of January 2007 for my payment amount for February, because I had not received anything regarding a payment. After considerable time on the phone with people that did not have a clue as to what was going on, I was finally told that I would receive a payment statement in the middle of February for the March payment; nothing about the February payment. I finally got the statement at the end of February, only to discover that my loan was an "interest o ...

I have had a nightmare experience with them. I made a wire transfer to a company in India that I deal with regularly. They never completed the wire after 3 weeks. I finally recalled it. They still don't have it back in my account, and they refuse to make good on it , telling me I have to wait.
Everbank Internet banking never had a SWIFT message. They keep giving me the run around, and I am currently out $4000.
Their prices are high for any transactions, and they don't know what each depart ...

Everbank claim a high Kiplinger's rating - it seems to me Kiplinger's should try actually holding an account with them. My experience suggests one would be much better off with a 'brick and mortar' bank that operates online, than this bank, which has been consistently poor in its treatment of this customer.

I had accounts with them and got messed up by inaccurate account information when logging on. When I brought it to their attention, they just said that I should have read the statements that they sent in the mail. This was after Everbank gave me the runaround on the phone for an hour. The whole reason I got an internet bank was so that I could do everything online.

It's been 18 days since they received my letter requesting my maturing CD be closed, and they still haven't even cut the check. I have called them 5 times; 3 separate times their customer support told me that the terms and conditions say they have 30 days to close an account. On the last call, I finally asked them to show me where in the terms and conditions it said that. I was immediately put on hold and then a supervisor came on the line and admitted that there was no such condition. When ...

Everbank have held my money for 3+ weeks after a C/D matured and I closed my account as they instructed me to do. In essence, these folks have held my money and gotten use of it without paying me a dime.
I recommend you deal with your local bank for these types of accounts, where you can have access to your money when you need it, and at least have a face to associate with if there are problems like this.

I had a credit for over $100,000 and at the end of one year maturity I requested the account be closed. The written notice was given 10 days prior to maturity. It took ever bank 12 days to close my account and this only happened after 3 phone calls. They then send the check by DHL ground which I receive after one week. In other words I feel they are using my money for free for one week. In summary I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND USING THEM.

I am a long term Everbank customer. My first account was a CD, opened several years ago and closed after about a year with no problems. After that I opened a Freenet checking account, and recently, because my balance dropped, they began to charge a monthly fee for Bill Pay service, even though I have not ever paid a single bill from this account. At around the same time I attempted to open some additional CD's and sent the corresponding funds via registered mail. The post office tracking shows t ...
