“Bad reception and worst customer service”

Got my contract just more than 3 weeks as such just over my cooling off period or else I will cancel it. Really felt like I have been sham by BT. I just looked up the internet, I'm paying much higher line rental than what they advertised now and getting lesser money in reward card.... BT just happy to bind me into contract for 12 months and they are not looking to have customer for longer period of time as I spoke to the customer service and they said they can't do much about it. “Terrible service”

Can only review on customer service as an engineer never attended to install the phone lone/broadband. After receiving a bombardment of reminder messages emails and phone calls to ensure I did not forget my appointment, I booked the afternoon off work to wait for the engineer. Needless to say the engineer never turned up and there was no message/email/phone call to explain. I tried to call the engineer direct whos number I was sent prior who did not reply. “Money grabbers”

After being with BT for nearly 30 years I decided to go to Virgin as they have recently laid cables in the area. Received an email from BT that I will have to pay £31.00 to have my broadband disconnected. I rang them as to why I should have to pay this, and was told than an engineer would have to physically disconnect my broadband from the cabinet. Last August I received a letter about renewing the Bt sport lite Sky channel, so I could still get it for free.I did the on line form, but it said there was a problem. So phoned them and got passed around alot, but eventually got it sorted, or so I thought. When I checked my latest bill it was £40+ more than I was expecting.It turns out they hadn't sorted it out in august and charged me for it and the next 3 months to come. “WORST SERVICE EVER!!”

I have had BT for literally not even a month. The first four days the broadband seemed to work ok till the connection began to drop all the time. I have called the customer service and waited for hours in the phone and a few times even without being able to talk to somebody.Finally when I managed to talk to someone after getting angry the decided to send an engineer. BT Corporate Rip off the poor I just changed my tv package today and it was cut immediately yet i was told that i have to give 1 months notice,that does mean i have to pay for what i had cut still.!! I'm not happy with BT sport channel that you don't keep to schedule timing for showing of sport,every time i record the event on my youview the sport event is not in full,it is cut before the end of the event.This happens all the time,I pay £15 a month to view these channels in HD! “NEGLIGENT MISREPRESENTATIONS”

“awful automated customer "service" phone line ”

Dreadful. Negotiating your way through the numerous phone menus is a nightmare, takes ages and you can easily end up in the wrong place. I got cut off after a particularly frustrating ramble through BT's ghastly system. All you want to do is speak to a HUMAN BEING who will help you with your problem. But BT is apparently determined to stop you doing that. “Good till something goes wrong, then they're useless”

Phone line went down when there was flash flooding in the area a few days ago (broadband wasn't affected, strangely). It was out for something like 24 hours, not surprising under the circumstances. But since the phone has been back on there is continuous loud crackling on the line. Someone left me a business message which I can barely hear. “Disgraceful”

I rang bt yesterday, when I FINALLY got through I said I needed to reduce my bill as I was finding it difficult to pay £45.50 per month, I was offered £38.49 which I thought wasn't too bad. I get an email showing the new deal and then in small print £45.50 per month one minute later another email saying £53.00! I complained, got a very aggressive young man who said I had to pay £48.50. “DO NOT GO THERE”

I have been a customer for 44 years I have witness unfair price rises lack of interest, lack of customer service etc. but in its current form I think this business should be made to split up and be dispersed, all it is interested in is robbing you of your hard earned cash tying you in to contracts by black mail and any means of any dishonest method they can think of. “Good Customer Service? Not with this company!”

Customer service is non-existent would avoid at all costs. Reported a fault with broadband barely working 7 weeks ago and despite numerous complaints we have not heard from anyone except the odd phone call from India. Could barely understand what they were saying and still not fixed. Have tried to cancel contract and no response from that department either. Entire company a joke. “BT lie in their adverts!”

Signed up to BT in Sept 2015 after seeing an advert for £5 broadband with £17.99 line rental for 12 months. In July 2016, they increased the price to £6.10 for broadband and £18.99 line rental. When I complained, they stated that the contract states that they can increase their prices at any time. I doubt the legality of such a trick, so have made a complaint to the advertising standards agency. Amazed recently by the abysmal service from BT - we are not customers thank goodness !! but have been dealing with them on behalf of elderly relatives - seems to me that they are preying on the over 80 year olds as easy targets! “Slowest ever broadband”

Just went on to their site to order broadband and BT Sport. It tells me I need a min speed of 6.5 meg. I thought, great, I'll have that. Then they tell me the maximum speed they can garantee is 1.5 and the maximum is 5. And that's AFTER they upgraded our exchange to super fast BB. And I thought we were living in the 21st century!
