Over a month ago my internet(modum)stopped working, so phoned BT and sorted out new package deal. But was told the new modum would take 5 days to deliver and new package deal will not be connected until 2 days after that (total a week). Did get compensation except for first two days under standard policy. Last Autumn had heart surgery and I thought of doing something bit unusual. “Awful service from BT”

Awful. £130 for new line.Engineer didn't do his job, gave incorrect information, couldn't get a another appointment for over a week (which i received no confirmation for), then well over 30 mins on hold to sort it out (I'm still holding). You simply cant believe what they say - I was told two different versions of why work couldn't be completed .... staff say they have left notes when they haven't. “There are no words to describe their customer service”

Shocking levels of service. I had nothing but trouble with them years ago so I left. They tried to bill me anyway for their mistakes. Move on a few years and deals galore. So I thought yes maybe they've improved. The answer is NO! Take orders they almost immediately delay repeatedly. Mess you around and just talk nonsense. “The elusive infinity”

I have received a card saying that my street was now ready for BT infinity so I applied on line to be connected. I first filled in my phone number and post code and yes, infinity was available so I continued with the application. Finally I got to a page that told me that unfortunately infinity was not available to me but I could still get fibre optic! “Total pain in the bottom. ”

Rubbish service. I had broadband and phone through them and things often went wrong and the call center could never help. They persuaded me into getting BT sport for extra money and when I tried to cancel they kept billing me. Eventually I switched broadband provider and they over-billed me, trying to charge me at the same time my new provider had already changed the service over! “BT are awful”

Moved three weeks ago. Used to have Talk Talk but they don't cover where I now live so went with BT. Big mistake! They initially set up the contract, sent out Sim cards, ordered an engineer and sent the internet hub even before I had moved in ! They then sent out the internet hub to my old address after I had moved. When I finally got the hub it didn't work so they sent me another. My contract is up in about 5months I look forward to being bt free, poor service, poor quality. You will find you get to know all advisers in India before the contract ends. Been with sky , they kept taking money out of my account for about a year. I know should be checking statements . Got money back , they told me I did cancel it and refunded the money. Bt and sky big no for me

“liars and extornists.”

I'd been with BT for years and years, since, I think, 1991. I mostly stayed because I'd heard so many horror stories about other companies. Let's get one thing straight about BT, when they say their broadband is ' unlimited' it ISN'T! BEWARE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU THROUGH THE NOSE. “Appaling”

The customer service with these people is absolutely appalling. You are kept on hold for as long as possible then cut off. They say will call back but don't and when you call them back nobody has any record of the previous call. If you dispute their bill they just cut you off until you pay in full. Wish I'd read these reviews before switching Looking for a better deal we switched to BT from Sky. What a mistake. First they mucked up our phone lines, getting calls from everywhere, but none to our number. We have been without broadband since the switchover. “Watch those contracts”

OK this is where people go to vent their spleen at BT? OK, this is a slightly different approach. I actually think BT is basically a good company with good products and services but watch those contracts. Especially broadband. If you are taking a phone service and fibre optic broadband, you will be paying over £50 a month and you are contracted to keep paying them for 18 months, come what may. BT's service is the worst I have ever experienced. I don't usually write reviews but I have to this time. They failed to provide me with my full order for BT infinity. Assuring me they would contact me regarding the order which never transpired. I spent approximately 3 hours on the phone to various departments and still no broadband. “Anyone Want a Home Hub”

In November 2014 my contract required renewing with BT. This was agreed but also the Call Taker stated my internet showed a record of dropping and that the Hub2 I was using needed replacing with the new Hub4.I explained i had know problems with my internet apart from it being slow which was down to BT and their sub station being miles away. Today on a Saturday at 8am our one day for a snooze the phone rings BT Help desk from India. Wanted to know if my Hub3 was now working ok. Attempted to explain that I had received two Hub2s. I was told that was impossible as they do not use the Hub 2 anymore and they wanted the serial number. I explained that would be difficult as I had slung the Hub into my loft as I already had a Hub2. Is your internet working.? reply Yes, well we will now close the complaint. BRILLIANT.

“COMPLETE UTTER SHAMBLES”

I can't even give this no stars as 1 star is being to generous. I don't think they are worthy of 1. I took out a phone and broadband package back in the start of 2012 when I moved into my first brand new property where BT was the only provider I could go with in the area at the time. I took out an 18 month contract and also added BT Sport HD to my package which was free for the first year when it came out. Title says it all. I lost phone and broadband service for 8 weeks and after 3 engineer visits it was finally fixed. Calling BT to presumably get refunded the £66 paid over this period where they failed to supply my service I was told under their policy all they could give was £15.88! Plain and simple theft. Also after nearly 18 months with BT, they still can't fix a fault from day one where dialling 150 gets me "welcome to SKY"! And not BT customer services. Steer well clear! My in-laws phone line went down on 16th September and it was duly reported to BT faults. Ever since then, trying to get answers out of BT is impossible. I've been trying for last week to get through to BT fault reporting both on the telephone and via their "chat" service to get an update on the line repair. Update - got through on telephone to BT fault reporting who said it will be another week before repairs are complete and line fully operational again.

Also got through to chat service on BT website who told me line would be up and working by midnight tonight.

So there you go, BT must be liars as they both cannot be correct.

Received a call today from the complaints dept. who told me that fault will not be fixed this week as they are now waiting for permission from the local council to dig up the road. No definite date is now given as to why two 80 year old pensioners have to do without a telephone line in the 21st century

They also told me that my father in law cannot claim compensation for this episode until repairs are carried out. They also refused to transfer incoming calls to his mobile as I requested as I am not the account holder. They hide behind the Data Protection act yet they have all his details.

BT, you are a bloody disgrace to your customers. Can you change the title of your TOTALLT INEPT NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE BT Customer Care dept. to BT DONT CARE?

Do BT ever read any of these complaints?

Congratulations BT, your inability to provide a working phone line almost cost my mother in law her life last night. My father in law had to go and ask a neighbour to call an ambulance as my mother in law was having a stroke and has now been hospitalised.

If my in laws had a working phone line, the ambulance call would have been made much quicker resulting in the paramedics arriving sooner.

You are a bunch of heartless bar stewards who are totally incompetent and inept at providing a working service.
