Poor been waiting over 30 days for a broadband service and still waiting, happy to sign you up but are reluctant to give any reliable or timely service in setting up the service by fixing evident faults. I been with BT since March 2013 and I seen chaos with BT time to time home phone line drop or broadband not connected and I called BT several times about this issue nothing change then I had to myself BY resting or turn off modem to re-connect also I some time slow website. Hi, i didnt realise there were so many negative reviews about BT who are the most advertised provider in the UK. “IF YOU WANT ASSISTANCE FROM BT DONT BANK ON IT !!!”

Since the changeover from yahoo mail to BTmail, my laptop worked fine but my outgoing mail stopped working. I phoned for assistance after trying to sort it out for myself and talked to a technician offshore who said that his manager said he couldnt help with an IPHONE issue even though I had explained that this was down to BT. BT increased monthly DD, speed on Infinity contract sold was worse that previous normal speed contract, called to investigate both; turns out Infinity not even available on our line so product miss sold. “Worst service I have ever received ”

I am shocked and dismayed at the level of service I have received while trying to close down my BT account which I held for over 15 years. I have always been a loyal customer, paid on time and never had any reason to contact BT until my marriage broke down and I was in a situation where I had to close down my account. I have been a BT customer for 2 weeks and I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I have received with respect to a package for TV, broadband and phone which was clearly not appropriate for my needs. I would not recommend BT, Never ever would i recommend a company that has so little respect and concern for its customers. Slow slow bt congested exchange that i seem stuck with, and at peek times when i hit a very slow 1mb on my bt land line that cost me an arm and a leg i can just disconnect from it and connect to next doors virgin media unsecured d-link router and get a 2.6mb connection that's more than twice as fast. “APPALLING with no service - dont bother! ”

The first 3 months were ok, although the line speed of 1.2 mbps was pretty rubbish, then the phone and broadband went down at the end of august :- 2 months later! after hours and hours on the phone to India, being told that workmen were outside our house working on the line at that very moment (I can assure you they were not) then we were told they had to apply to the highland council for permission to work on the road, then we were told it was fixed... it wasnt... finally it was working… Read Full Review

I placed an order for BT phone and infinity as I decided to move back to them from Sky. I was told everything would be up and running on 14th April. My phone has transferred over but nobody had the courtesy to tell me that there was a problem with the Infinity. I used their contact form to contact them with my order reference etc and got a reply saying it would take 10 days to reply to me. “Service ok but When Leaving Not Good Over Seas...”

“OK only until something goes wrong.”

Quite a few years of everything running smoothly, then the phone suddenly stopped working. Broadband still running. The line coming from the pole to my house looked ok, I unplugged/reconnected all of my phone sockets, then I disconnected everything and tried a spare phone in the BT master socket, same problem. UPDATE: My phone mysteriously started working again around 6 pm. Some work has been done at the exchange, maybe?
So now I wanted to cancel the appointment. No point in losing a morning's work. BT's confirmation email gives a web link for this and a phone number. I followed the link but while I could change my appointment there didn't seem to be a way of cancelling it.
On the phone you get a robot Scottish woman who asks why you're calling but couldnt understand "I want to cancel an engineer's visit." (No offence intended to any Scots readers.) After a long wait I got through to a human in an Indian call centre but it turns out she's in the billing department, so there's another long wait while I was transferred. I got more sense this time, but the guy tells me I have to cancel before 2 pm the day before the appontment. When I said the appointment wasn't made till after 2 pm this completely threw him, there obviously wasn't an answer in his script for that.
I won't be a bit surprised if an engineer still calls in the morning, but he'll have a wasted journey, for I won't be in. I'm just about to read the T&Cs in case they try and charge me for it.

Yes, an engineer was outside in his van at 07:50 in the morning, but he was ok about it.

Forgot to mention that in February BT added £1.75 to my bill for their Privacy at Home service, which I had never asked for.
I used their Online Chat to get an assurance it would be refunded on my next bill.
Today I received that bill, on which they have refunded £1.56, not £1.75.
How can they be that incompetent?
Another online chat, and this time I'm told they'll refund me £2.
So, another month's wait.

BT are due to install my phone line and broadband in March, a month after I ordered and paid for it. I phoned them up to ask if there was any possibility of an earlier date. Big mistake. Now, according to BT it's either coming on the 26th because the date can't be changed, or it's not coming on the 26th unless I pay £130 because I cancelled the appointment (I didn't), or it's coming on the 10th and I need to wait for a text message confirmation of that today, or it might come on the 11th but I… Read Full Review

“SNEAKY PRICE RISE”

I signed up to a years contract and paid upfront for my line rental, I was told caller display and there answer service was included, 6 months later they start charging, an extra £3.50 a month. Ordered a new phone line on 12th November, was due to have it installed on 3rd December, the order was then delayed until 7th January and then a further 3 times since this date. Still no phone line, 3 months later. “Phone line Fault”

After several years of problems with the phone and Broadband our broadband has reduced to 2 mb. How is this acceptable for a business? I how can BT call their fibre optic super fast when Japan and Korea have speeds up to 500MB download? Bt does not repair or replace lines and we have been without a functioning broadband for so long our computers cannot update their systems as the download speeds are so bad. A service set up to make life easy for BT to take money from customers with little regard for service users and their needs. Disgusting customer care and no attention paid to feedback.
