“NEGLIGENT MISREPRESENTATIONS”

WHERE TO BEGIN, BT BROADBAND SPEEDS ARE DIRE SO THINK ABOUT BT INFINITY. WE WENT ONLINE AND PUT IN NUMBER AND ADDRESS AND "YES YOU CAN HAVE BT INFINITY" SO WE PLACED AN ORDER. ON THE DAY THAT THE CHANGE OVER WAS TO TAKE PLACE WE LOST ALL BROADBAND AND OUR LANDLINE NUMBER CALLS WERE GOING TO SOMEONE DOWN THE ROAD. WE ENDED UP WITH THEIR PHONE CALLS ON OUR BILL. “awful automated customer "service" phone line ”

Dreadful. Negotiating your way through the numerous phone menus is a nightmare, takes ages and you can easily end up in the wrong place. I got cut off after a particularly frustrating ramble through BT's ghastly system. All you want to do is speak to a HUMAN BEING who will help you with your problem. But BT is apparently determined to stop you doing that. Resolving a fault inevitably leads to a return call from BT within a 2 hour slot - if you can't get to the phone before voicemail cuts in… Read Full Review

“Good till something goes wrong, then they're useless”

Phone line went down when there was flash flooding in the area a few days ago (broadband wasn't affected, strangely). It was out for something like 24 hours, not surprising under the circumstances. But since the phone has been back on there is continuous loud crackling on the line. Someone left me a business message which I can barely hear. “Disgraceful”

I rang bt yesterday, when I FINALLY got through I said I needed to reduce my bill as I was finding it difficult to pay £45.50 per month, I was offered £38.49 which I thought wasn't too bad. I get an email showing the new deal and then in small print £45.50 per month one minute later another email saying £53.00! I complained, got a very aggressive young man who said I had to pay £48.50. “DO NOT GO THERE”

I have been a customer for 44 years I have witness unfair price rises lack of interest, lack of customer service etc. but in its current form I think this business should be made to split up and be dispersed, all it is interested in is robbing you of your hard earned cash tying you in to contracts by black mail and any means of any dishonest method they can think of. “Good Customer Service? Not with this company!”

Customer service is non-existent would avoid at all costs. Reported a fault with broadband barely working 7 weeks ago and despite numerous complaints we have not heard from anyone except the odd phone call from India. Could barely understand what they were saying and still not fixed. Have tried to cancel contract and no response from that department either. Entire company a joke. “BT lie in their adverts!”

Signed up to BT in Sept 2015 after seeing an advert for £5 broadband with £17.99 line rental for 12 months. In July 2016, they increased the price to £6.10 for broadband and £18.99 line rental. When I complained, they stated that the contract states that they can increase their prices at any time. I doubt the legality of such a trick, so have made a complaint to the advertising standards agency. Amazed recently by the abysmal service from BT - we are not customers thank goodness !! but have been dealing with them on behalf of elderly relatives - seems to me that they are preying on the over 80 year olds as easy targets! “Slowest ever broadband”

Just went on to their site to order broadband and BT Sport. It tells me I need a min speed of 6.5 meg. I thought, great, I'll have that. Then they tell me the maximum speed they can garantee is 1.5 and the maximum is 5. And that's AFTER they upgraded our exchange to super fast BB. And I thought we were living in the 21st century! They offered us a speed of 19. 5 and are only delivering 8, after an engineering visit it was shown the line was only ever able to take 8. If you go on their website they are still offering my nieghbours 19. 5. They are mis-selling a product they cannot deliver. They are rotten to the core and liars and wont give me my money back. “Terrible Customer Service- Do Not Sign Up with BT”

This is the first time I have ever complained about a service, however in this case I thought it was merited. Originally BT set-up 2 accounts for me, obviously I didn't want 2, so I went about sorting the problem out. Anyway, once the account was closed they charged me around £150 for the privilege of closing the account they mistakenly set-up. “Still waiting for fault to be fixed!!”

Bt make promises that are not kept to !! Try and speak to an English person! You get directed to BT India who does not speak very good English. It is so hard to understand them. I have reported continually about not having internet or a telephone line!! Promises of when it will be fixed is a lie. No engineer, and it has been 10 days now !! No the feeling issues with broadband for the past 5/6weeks poor customer service spending long periods of time waiting for someone to answer only to have explain over and over what the problem is still awaiting feedback but bt still taking the money out of my account. Would I recommend there service no way current in contact but will switch as soon as I can

I moved house on 29/01/2016. I had my land line and broadband supplied by Sky who told me they do not have a service for keeping landline numbers at a different address. I contacted BT, giving them my new address including the post code and was told by them that I would be able to retain my landline at the new address.
