Good Points: Great.
Bad Points: I had trouble understanding some of the people in their call centre.
General comments: I have been with talk talk for 2 years, in the beginning I had endless problems, but hey we all start with teething problems, I am very pleased with the service now, with a bit of patience it really does work.

I would stay away from Talk Talk if I was you.
Once I got into a 18 month contract and they took my money, little was don to resolve problems which seem to me to be company generated.
I had problems getting my Broadband set up due to a problem with my MAC code, this took 2 months to resolve after many phone calls. I'm still trying to resolve the fact that I can't register for an on-line account which has dragged on for 6 months. I am also being billed for my "Free Broadband" because my local exc ...

I have just transfered to Talk Talk from BT and quite frankly wish I hadn't. From day one they have misinformed me on the costs and how long things take to set up on your account. I wish I had found this review site before the transfer as I would not have moved from BT (who always provided a really reliable and decent service). I feel Talk Talk just wanted my business and seem not really interested in me as a customer at all.

I joined talk talk 7 months ago and apart from connection problems and probably 10 -15 calls to get reconnected would not say I was too unhappy with the service. Two months ago my connection failed after returning from holiday and since Talktalk has been a nightmare service to be with. I have been off line for 2 months now. It has taken me endless phone calls repeating the same information to various people. I felt like it was groundhog day in the worst way. Eventually they sent out a BT enginee ...

Talk Talk fits the statement you get what you pay for. The complete Talk Service is extremely poor. I have spent at least in total 8 hours on the phone speaking or trying to speak to them in my eighteen month contract. I am glad its up I can move on. I am also in dispute with the help of OTELO after receiving bills for a closed account. My advice is: Stay away!

It is a good service if you set your equipment up properly and have a good quality phone line. Lots of people struggle and don't realise they have a 'bad' line that will slow you down as line 'noise' increases from 4pm and in bad weather. This is your phone line at fault and not TalkTalk's servers. You need TalkTalk to get their engineers to clean up the line (FOC ofcourse). Basically TalkTalk are having to clean up victorian phone lines...

TalkTalk is ot as fast as fibre optic broadband but good enough. Perhaps some of the reasons why some might find it slow: -age of computer -registry needs cleaning, -spy and adware -needs removing anti virus software hogging resourses and/or -wireless router not working correctly.

I can't wait till my contract comes to an end so that i can switch to another company. The phone line has periods of bad crackling noise which is so bad, you can't have a conversation. The broadband is poor at night and slow, so slow!

I signed up to a landline package with Talk Talk which offered free features for 12 months. It took 6 weeks and several phone calls/e-mails to get set up so I could view my account online. (This is supposed to take 7 days). Lo and behold, I had been charged for these "free" features and some extras besides!
I then received a paper bill, which attracts a charge of £1 (or £1.25, depending on which bit of info you read!), which I didn't ask for, thus incurring an extra charge. (The b ...

Talk talk for me wasn't as bad as people make out, it was worse, they tell you that they provide a better service than BT for less than the price, the fact they do not mention is that they provide a "free" internet connection, however, when I said that this was the problem to the customer service team, they told me that as the internet wasn't being paid for, they were under no obligation to fix it, thus leaving me on the very edge of my tether. BT costs more because their service works, please ...

As a relatively new TalkTalk customer, I opted out of paper-billing as they make an extra charge for this. It took 6 weeks to register my account online so I could check how much I had been billed. I must have tried 20 times during this period, only to be met with a very slow website, which was awkward to use, and always failed to recognise some or all of my details.
It took a series of emails (do NOT use the call centre, I think they have to "resolve" each query in a set time so I found they t ...

In general not a bad supplier no complaints about the reliability of service - broadband and telephone always there.Had to cancel direct debit though. TT decided that they would take money out whenever they felt like it. Spoke to customer service who seemed very disinterested. Now pay extra '£3.50 as a non-DD customer. Still cheaper than the bank penalty charges for bounced DD.

Talk talk isn't good unless people you know are on it. Also you know a person who can find out whats wrong with your phone is on talk talk, as the customer services are terrible. I don't Recommend.

Worth switching to if you are currently paying two payments a month for landline and broadband as reasonably priced. However don't order the modem off them buy it on ebay ( much cheaper ) and use firefox for web browser as doesn't stay connected with ie very well, no problems with firefox though. Also don't expect much if you have to ring customer services as almost none existant in my experience.

It took Talk Talk 7 months to fix my line problems that started when they installed their equipment in the local exchange and transfered the wiring across.
Their customer service is so poor. Everyone else is to blame apparently, but not talk talk!
If you can get through to the Escalation Dept they are marginally better. Best service comes from their Broadband technical support.

In the 2 years with talktalk I can rate it 8-9 out of 10, you do get the odd occasion when the internet goes down but the customer services will usually tell you how long it will be before it is back on, overall the company I find it hard to beat with the use of local calls not costing anything , international calls at reduced rates, and unlimited broadband.

Once you get connected, its excellent. Very very bad customer service!!!!!!!!!! oh my god!!!!!!!really fed up with talk talk..........I moved house in Nov 07, still now didn't get my talk talk transferred. This is the worst customer service I have ever contacted. It is really bad. My line is not yet sorted, as they don't know what they are doing.

I signed on in March 2007 and was connected for free braodband without a call or problem. Can't beat the package for the money and have had no problems at all to be honest.
