TERRIBLE, from the moment I joined them to the current day. Also NEVER store anything of value or confidence in your Talktalks email account, in fact generally avoid using the talktalk email - ever.

Talktalk will regularly delete your email account and loose all your history/stored email/contacts etc. Also all their 'support' staff have instant access to your confidential passwords, and routinely attempt to collect information on you that is entirely unrelated to their service.

Think what your address, DOB, home & mobile number, next of kin, account, password etc. is worth to a call centre worker earning minimum wage in a developing country.

I moved from Pipex to Talktalk in 2007. Talktalk made a huge mess of the transfer, they lost my order many times, I lost all services many times, they managed to bill me but not deliver a service. The customer support was and remains incredibly painful.

Talktalk have a system (which they deny) of not recording issues. I guess it is so they cant be in breach of contract (you can only get out of the cancellation fee if their staff record the faults/issues you have, if they don't record these issues you cant get out of it). I will skip the countless problems I have experienced (but that Talktalk today confirmed they have no record of).

My current (unrecorded) problem: Last Saturday I wished to create a 4th email account. It took 2 hours on the phone to customer support, 20 mins to get through to a person and the rest because we couldn't get it to work - we finally discovered the advisor couldn't spell Freddie or Marvel no matter how many times I phonetically repeated the spelling of these words, he even misspelt my surname wrong, which was on his screen in front of him. Freddie's account was finally set up but (of course) all my other email accounts deleted. I set up the other 3 again but they went in as 'new' accounts and so I have lost the all the email, contacts etc I had recorded since about a year ago when they last deleted my email. I set the email accounts up again yesterday, today they are all gone again. I have been advised today by Talktalk that they never existed. This despite talktalk calling me today in response to an email I sent from the email address they advise doesn't exist. Talktalk provide my home phone service, my mobile is provided by my employer. Yesterday my home phone number was diverted to my mobile phone. After 20 mins I got through to Talktalk and asked them to remove the divert, after much discussion about why I had asked for a divert (which of course I never did)they diverted the number back. This afternoon my home phone number was again diverted to my mobile phone. I called them again - choose option 1, blah blah. They removed the divert again. I asked what they will do to prevent it happening tomorrow and was advised 'nothing' as it is 'probably just a glitch in their system and had never happened before'. I pointed out it had happened the very day before but was advised this was not the case 'as it had not been recorded (therefore, I must be lying). When Talktalk called me later on (in response to another problem with them) I asked they check which faults/issues had been recorded against my account since Feb 2007 - they have just the one record (lost email, a year ago - not resolved). I asked them if they intend to look at their record keeping process and was advised there is firstly no need "all staff are trained to record faults" secondly that "it would be impossible" and thirdly that the person I was talking to, her supervisor and no-one she has access to could take up such an issue.

shitest broadband service ever, I was with some weird Bt contract before, excellent speeds for online gaming but I had to pay for every hour I used the net on!? so my step dad made the retarded decision of going with Talktalk again after our poor service with em, so, huh, now it takes about 4 mins to load a 1 min youtube video and I can never play online games, NEVER, so I'm gonna pay myself the £70 for a disconnection fee so we can move to something like sky or o2 broadband

The WORST service I have ever ever ever had from a company. I waited eight weeks and still had no broadband, after them blaming me for them telling me the wrong installation dates, registering my phone number as a business number, being unable to access my account information, telling me I didn't have an account, when I had one. After all of this, having the nerve to charge me a cancellation fee when I was told I wouldn't and sending me bill after bill after bill, after being told I owed nothi ...

The absolute gutter when it comes to service. Do not be taken in by what seem to be great, cheap offers. It took me 6 months and 13 days from the day I signed my contact to get my broadband up and running. They gave away the phone number I had for years and I couldn't get it back.
I made 138 calls to Talk Talk customer service, wrote 9 emails and 2 official letters of complaint as directed by Othelo and still I had no help or contact from anyone other than a call centre in India. you've been warn ...

I have just tried getting Talk Talk in my new house, which requires a new line. The order was made 3 weeks ago and the installation was due to take place 17 days after the order was placed, with Talk Talk supposedly to contact me a week before to confirm the day of the installation. To my surprise I have the installation person ring me asking for access to the house when he comes round in half an hour, I am at work and tell him that's not possible. Talk Talk now refuse to cancel the contrac ...

I have had no end of problems with Talk Talk and their customer services are shockingly. The broadband connection kept dropping at least once a week and the ping times for online games varied from 100 - 300. The technical team wasn't very helpful if there was a problem - you would get a person with no knowledge to start of with and only after 15 minutes of going through the same process(have you tried turning it off for 10 seconds etc) would you get to goto the next techie level, but this is o ...

I have canceled my order for Talk Talk phone and broadband because of very poor customer services. I tried 3 times to change an engineers visit and waited 15 minute each time before hanging up in disgust. Finally I had to wait 32 minutes before Customer Services answered. I got part way through cancellation and they cut me off! If you go with this company you may experience big problems!

What a shambles. Signed up for Talk Talk after a series of marketing calls. Initially all went well until we moved house. It took 14 days to get reconnected and have suffered intermittent problems since then - loss of outward calls, voicemail etc. Customer service are worse than useless - can't sort anything.

    Not Impressed.
I switched over from BT to Talk Talk/Car Phone Warehouse to try and get lower bills, Sainsbury's were to blame they courted me with offers of lower bills in the supermarket with switching phone and electricity and neither turned out to be the case in the end for either supply. Arranged to switch back to BT today (and the electricity is now with SP).
I find that my 3 monthly bills are hardly any lower if at all than my quarterly bills with BT and the customer services is not good ...

Really impressed with service I got from Talk Talk today.......been with them now for over 2 years with no problems but a few days ago our phone stopped working. We rang up customer services and reported the fault...had an automated voice and had to press numbers to answer questions which was awful must admit....BUT within a couple of hours they had sent an engineer out to sort out the fault. They also kept me informed via my mobile what was happening! Like i say, REALLY IMPRESSED. So used to ...

OMG. Once I was connected, a fault developed on the line which they couldn't fix for almost three weeks. Each time I would ring Talk Talk on my mobile I would have to explain the story again. and again. and again. and again. There's more - but I can feel my blood pressure rising again - I need to rest.
