I decide to go with talk talk when I moved house after 2 months I still had no service No communication with what was happening I had to constantly chase them, They had my email wrong, I changed it with them 11 times and its still hasnt been updated so I cancelled and went to but, I now have debt collectors chasing me for a £50 bill for services talk talk never provide, even though I was assured this would not happen by customer services. I found myself with talktalk after the "rationalisation" of the ISP sector a few years ago. I was originally with F2S who were pretty good, but got bought, then bought again and eventually got absorbed by TT. I was told that my original contract would be honoured, but somewhere down the line it got changed. I have since been trying to get out. You have been very lucky. The main problem Talk Talk have is their insistence on using Indian call centres so the hard to understand nature of the conversation presents difficulties straight away, I have found the odd one a bit arrogant but in the main I am sure they are doing their individual bests on the whole. Also the inferred nature of your review that only dissatisfied customers write them, if I am happy with service received I don't hesitate to tell the company. are all the statistics and hundreds of customers complaining about appalling service all wrong then. I am a transferred customer from Tiscali, a company that I had few problems with I am now thinking of leaving Talk Talk. Problems recently? Intermittent broad band connection, corrupt emails,in fact a few days ago I tried to access Talk Talk via Firefox it would not connect. Tried to access other sites, bookmarked and otherwise, no problems whatsoever in accessing them. This went on for hours causing severe difficulties as it was important at the time that I accessed my emails. I could go on for hours about problems with Talk Talk although to be fair not all problems are Talk Talks and there can be customer issues with broadband/phone connections etc. I wonder if you have ever tried to help anyone with a problem with Talk Talk. I sincerely hope that everything continues to work perfectly for you, but have a closer look at reviews on this site and you will see that not only dis-satisfied customers write them.

Totally agree , my broadband connection only lasted for a few mins before dropping and I had to keep resetting the router. TT did tests after I phoned to say router faulty and the tests showed the fault was 'either in the house or outside' . In the end I was so fed up I changed to BT which works perfectly without changes to any wirring ( only the modem) . Now have debt collectors ringing me for cancellation but as they didn't provide a service surely this is breach of contract? wouldn't recommend at all!

Left BT and Talk Talk said they would pay cancellation fee, what a load of lies, 6 weeks later and 10 calls later and 10 promises of the money will be in the bank in 5 working days still never got. Would not reccommend this to my worst enemy, talk is cheap and it definately is with this mickey mouse company. Forget the deal if open reach need to connect you, as they and talk talk make a dream team of customer cant. Talk talk has to be the worst internet that I have suffered. How I am on this site writing a review now is nothing short of a miracle. There is nothing good I can say about talk talk at all. have had as many problems too. no service of broadband. service constantly going down. they told me they could send out an engineer but it would cost me. i said no it wont because when they were selling me the service at no time was i told i was told i would have to pay for this. i got an engineer free of charge (independent) who checked the box in the wall as one of the phone reps had already told me to open it up for my phone to be disconnected and i couldnt speak to them. my phone has been crackling ever since. i have pboned so often, connected by ethernet, been told to open the phone box up have been taken through the set up to reinstall. im now at my wits end and had to attend the doctor with palpitations (never had before) with the stress and upset of itall. i then asked for a manager repeatedly and was not put on to them and eventually was cut off i have also been cut off by them when i said i was ready to terminate my contract. i also said i would go to my MP to be told "go to whoever you want". These people have us over a barrell and i am beginning to wonder what the hell OFTEL is doing about these people.

I was originally a reasonably happy Tiscali customer and saw no problem when TalkTalk took over my phone and broadband. How wrong I was. On the plus side, the broadband works and I get about the speed I would expect. However I am plagued by repeated disconnections as the speed is adjusted, making it almost unusable at times. Be very cautious with this company. I struggled for ages to leave them. After leaving they continued to bill me for months even though I had moved to BT. Since then they continue to cold call me in the evenings asking really stupid questions about their service even though I have not been a customer for almost half a year now - they STILL think I may be customer and they STILL bother me with unwanted service and sales calls.

The single worst experience I have had from any service based company in my 40 years of existence. I had a fault caused on my broadband by an 'upgrade' that took over a month to fix. It was eventually fixed after over 50 calls and 3 engineer visits which meant me taking time off work. I had managers promising call backs which never eventuated. But then I never had a problem with my previous phone company either and only moved to Tiscali/TalkTalk as they were cheaper.

Have a technical or administartive problem? You're in for a very frustrating time.

Problems I've had from talk talk include but are not limited to:
*Cutting our phone line with out informing me*

*Taking large sums of money from my bank account without permission after several phone calls to ensure that my line was cancelled*

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I've just left them after a horrendous time with them and their 'customer service'. Their broadband is extremely slow and unstable; they change their bills and payment dates constantly so you are never sure when they'll try and process your direct debit. Calls to their apparently 'free' numbers cost 5p per minute. You are on hold for ages, nobody gives you a straight answer, you are lied to and spoken to as though you are a 5 year old. Nobody... I found this review very helpful because... It matches our experience. Our business telephone line has been out of order for about five weeks. We have spent hours communicating with their 'technical department' at about 40 minutes average wait to get through. We reported accurately that BT Openreach had failed to make the repair from the outset. The TalkTalk Business service personel, including a so-called 'manager' did nothing effective to respond to our complaints. In fact they seemed rather to act as a PR protector of BT Openreach. When after about five weeks, BT Openreach were finally sent back to look at the line, their engineer confirmed that the original repair had not been completed and our five weeks without a properly functioning landline, telephone service and broadband had been unnecessary.
<br/>All this from what purports to be a 'business' service provider!

This review purely relates to the installation of a new telephone line. Prior to our decision to install a new line we had no problems at all with Talk Talk. Our new line was installed efficiently by BT Openreach but 7 days later it was still not in service and despite numerous calls to Talk Talk, we eventually reached what the company officially refer to has the "point of no return" and our problem was handed to the "Escalations Team" with another waiting period of 5 working days before we...
