Good Points: EVERYTHING
Bad Points: No stablizer stock.
General comments: The Kawasaki ZX10R 1000 05 Model is a Beast. Stupid fast, nimble handling, great looks, thrilling ride. Change the exhaust, take off 1 tooth up front, put in a k&n ,add a power commander and off you go. Every gear, every speed, and every ride you'll love it.

The Kawasaki ZX10R 1000 has great handling, massive power, good ergonomics and brakes. 2005 ZX10R model was the best for lightness in weight and handling. Gear-shift problems corrected over 04 model. I agree, a bike not for the inexperienced rider or of faint-heart. Mine has considerable mods, Power Commander USB, "Thin" Kaw Factory Head Gasket, Degree'd Cams, Factory Pro Velocity- Stacks, Muzzy's All-Titanium Exhaust and K&N Air Filter. Added a steering dampener, lost the rear pegs with a exha ...

ZX10R is a great bike, maligned as most large Kawasaki's are that they are not as cutting edge as the Blade's, R1's or GSX-R's. Real world biking - days out, 2 hour blasts, touring, track days - more than most people can handle. You can't outgrow a 1 litre pure sports bike. At 6ft 1.5in and 15 stone - perfect fit.

The Kawasaki ZX10R 1000 is Fast, sleek, and smooth.
Could use better looks, did you see what they did to the 09s?
Kawasaki never seem to take unlimited punishment and still keep on ticking. Cant say that about Honda, or suzuki.

i own a Zx10r special edition '07. all its got is a airfilter and a full titanium exhaust and it produced 180 hp at the wheel with standard sprockets and enough torque to rip your arms out of your sockets with a quick twist of the throttle. As for leaving black lines when exiting a corner, yeeee harrrrrr !!!!!!!!! ( and a do run Pilot Power tyres )
one word descibes it : WEAPON !!!

The 04-05 Kawasaki ZX10R 1000 models have more power than needed. They are not for the beginners thats for sure. They are crazy fast but lack the stability of the newer models. The 06-07 models are a little more tamed than previous years. They are a more well rounded sportbike than the prior years also. Power is easier to handle, turns better, stops better and has a factory steering damper. As for as the 08-09 I could care a less how well rounded the bike is. The thing is just one of the ugliest ...

Had an 2004 Kawasaki ZX10R 1000, now 2007 model after many other big bikes, including 3 9Rs.
Best of them all, the 10Rs are just such a complete, integrated powerful package. Good points are power, handling, flexibility, brakes, riding position. Only bad point is mirrors.

The spongy brakes have been fixed by replacing the calipers with ZX14 Calipers, and installing braided lines with Dot 5.1 Brake Fluid.Other than that, its is an excellent value for money bike.

I have the 04 model which in my opinion it the best model to have regarding styling, however that ' s about the only good thing about it and the brakes....let down by the tank range which is roughly 60 miles and it really gets through petrol, selling this bike new without a steering damper was downright stupid as its virtually unridable without one....take my advice and don ' t be sucked in by all the hype and the style of the bike... stick with the old carb model Kawasaki ' s you wont regret it ...

I own the 2007 Kawasaki ZX10r special edition model and am more than pleased with this bike. I find it hard to keep parked and ride it everyday. I bought the bike on Good Friday of this year (got 1st ticket on Easter Sunday for speeding), and now have over 20,000 miles on this machine I describe as a technological masterpiece of a racing bike. I love this bike.

Power delivery is awesome doesn ' t wheelie when opened up in first, looks and feels like a 600, rips your arms off in any gear even in 6th from 30mph,easy to lower into corners be careful coming out loads of power to throw you off, mine is orange loads of comments how good it looks. the speedo looks cool even got gear change indicator all in all the bike was worth every penny not for the faint hearted, as exacting to ride today as when I first picked up, I put expensive alarm on saved 250 on in ...

Its a good bike overal and I have toured on it track day'ed it and commuted on it. Its can do the lot. The power is amazing and handles great - but those brakes! Kawasaki should be ashamed of putting out a bike now a days with such poor quality brakes. My R1 2001 out performs these items!

Great looks massive power got mine reduced to 8k and then free insurance saving £800 that a real price of £7200 fantastic compared to the blade at 2k more.
If you can handle the power its by far the best 1000 out there engine just keeps on spinning.

All in all, I love my 2008 Kawasaki ZX10R with passion. I mounted the Pregon Scientific ATC3K camera on its handlebar. The video production turned out to be of decent quality but more importantly, there was only a slight effect of "vibrations", something I did not mind. They say that the 2008 design was a whole new design from the previous models, including the 2007 ZX. And that is very correct. The 2008 ZX10R is a slicker design with a lot of modern features. Oh, the breaks on this bike are abs ...

This bike is one of my favorites still. There is endless and surprising power. I have been riding it for 2 years now and she can still make my heart pound when I twist a little extra. Seating position is great and feels like a 600. Very nice styling that is still better looking then the newer models. Painted mine black and white and it looks brand new. Respect this machine cause it is just raw power and a hair trigger.

The bike is very stable, turns impeccably, and is quite quick to roll from side to side. The throttle response is good and the gear ratios are nice although a smaller front sprocket would probably make the first gear feel a little shorter which would be nice. The standard suspension settings are very nice although the standard tyre pressure is too high.
