“We loved the view from our apartment in Gumbet,...”

We loved the view from our apartment in Gumbet, because we had a good view all the way down Bar street. The hotel staff were very friendly, and it's in a good location because it's really close to everything. Gumbet itself is is an excellent place for young people to go on holiday because it has good nightlife. The beach is close with lots of activities. There are many different places to visit, such as the waterpark, boat trips, day trips to Kos, and lots of traditional Turkish baths, which... (read more)

Turkey was a good place to go if you like to drink all night, and don't mind being hassled as to where you might eat at breakfast. For lunch and dinner, they want you in their places and will not give up unless you accept one of their cards, promising you free garlic bread or a glass of coke etc... but the walk to your chosen place to eat, can be a harrowing experience. Turkey is the nicest holiday I have ever been on. we stayed in Gumbet, hotel Ozukara. it is clean, nice place and everything you expect from a hotel.
The pool is great for adults and children.
There is a pool bar which is nice, clean, and helpful. Shops are on your door step and restaurants. Plenty of places to eat and shop. But also a nice enough restaurant in the hotel. People are all very friendly and polite especially with the children. this is the best place you could ever go. (read more)

This makes the place sound like Turkish "heaven". I know Gumbet quite well and it is very lively, not for those looking for a quiet or relaxing hol. These aparts are rather basic, on a hill but still near the centre, and it could well be very noisy unless you like staying up till 3 or 4 in the morning!

Thinking of booking this hotel as its come up the cheapest for the first 2 weeks of the kids weeks hols. Can't believe they sound so good - Airtours may come up trumps!
<br>Thanks for the review, it really helped...better than the brochure.
