£14-95 for four little slices of duck, with not enough potatoes for all to share, five slices of carrot and one slice of courgette is minimal dining at its best, you will also love paying £3-55 for half a lager,i deided to decline a sweet at £5-95 or £6-50 for cheese and biscuits, way way way overpriced for a teeny weeny little meal, yes the service was good, and the food quality is good, but the amount of food for the price is pathetic, and i will never be returning… Read Full Review

The meal was very tasty but, for the price was not filling enough. All males from our party came away still hungry. Desserts were the dearest I'v seen £5.25, a bit expensive for anyone ordering ice-cream!!! Compared to at least two other restaurants we have visited in that price bracket we got a lot more and came away feeling full… Read Full Review

If there were not enough vegetables, I'm sure you could have mentioned it and got something done. Did you ask?

The Mediterranean seafood restaurant in Sheffield is a lovely little restaurant on Sharrow Vale Road. I went there for Valentine's day and had a superb meal. The Sea Bass is melt in the mouth. Interesting selection of specials, and the service was excellent but not too hurried or pressuring. Even on Valentine's Day with a packed restaurant the food came quickly. I would recommend booking in advance as it gets busy. The dress code is informal and relaxed… Read Full Review

The Mediterranean is a gem of a restaurant that Sheffield has hidden. Booking advisable as very popular and you'll know why once you have visited. A taxi is advised as parking can be a problem. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy the service did not faulter one bit. A small fronted restaurant, but do not let this put you off. An extremely un-stuffy atmosphere where smart but casual is adequate rather than a suit. A seating area where a pre-dinner whilst looking over an extensive menu… Read Full Review

I have decided to review this restaurant again after visiting this establishment back in Feb/Mar 2004. Often when you visit a restaurant where you've had such a wonderful culinary experience, you can't possibly think that they could live up to this twice....wrong, they can. Considering that it had been nearly 6 months since our last visit, the restaurant Manager remembered us. We decided to stay in Sheffield as we were visiting nearby for the day and visit the Meditarranean yet again. My husband had a starter of monkfish, I on the other hand was keeping room for my Grilled Lobster and dessert. The monkfish was superb and very well presented. The Lobster, (which we both ordered), was again fantastic and well work the £26.25, which might sound a lot, but believe you me, when you see the large lobster with mussels, prawns, wonderful accompained sauce and vegetables, it is well worth every penny. A chilled bottle of Sancere went down a treat at £19.95. Creme brulee to die for and again, very well presented. Our second visit was not disappointing in any way. Booking advisable as they are often fully booked. They also do lunchtime tapas 12.00-2.30 pm Mon-Sat, tea-time tapas 5.50 pm - 10 pm Tue-Thurs, Evening a la carte Mon-Sat 7.00 pm - 10.00 pm. Mediterranean Restaurant, 271 Sharrow Vale Road, Sheffield. Tel: 0114 266 1069. Parking can be a problem, but no shortage of taxis, who are reasonably priced. Want to experience fantastic food in Sheffield - then go here!
