Good Points: Price! Ease of use. Aux Input. Seperate Bass Boost. Graphic actually makes a difference to the overall sound.
Bad Points: Lacks sparkle, little treble can be achieved on any of the settings. Too much vocal emphasis on most settings. Slow CD draw.
General comments: The Sharp CD-ES222E hifi is currently on sale at Argos (10/11/05), for the measily price of £39.99. I brought one, with the hope I'd got a bargain. I found the sound a little too muddy for me though. There's not a lot of treble given. This may be due to the speaker cabinets only containing one 4" "Full Range" Woofer though. Maximum volume, whilst only 40w, is good though. This is helped by the bass given though, which although a little boxey, is good for the price.
