I accessed the Purple Parking website via an inquiry for T5 parking. It stated 15 minutes from the T5 so I booked. When we arrived at Purple Parking we were kept waiting for 20 minutes before we were taken to T5 and the journey took more than 30 minutes (Sunday lunchtime with no heavy traffic). So the total time was 50 minutes so we checked in with only 2 minutes to spare.
On the return during Wednesday evening rush hour we waited 25 minutes to be collected and the journey took 50 minutes - total time 75 minutes. There was then a further delay because the driver had been given the wrong car key for the first customer to be dropped off.
Purple Parking is cheap but you need to allow 60 minutes on your outward leg and 90 minutes on return to be safe.

After reading the previous negative reviews we are left wondering if we actually used the same car park as these other customers. We dropped our car off on 2/10/09 and were very impressed with the swift and secure booking in system that was in place. The staff we encountered on that day were very polite and efficient and from the time our suitcases were loaded for us we arrived at Terminal 2 within 35 minutes. On our return we phoned Purple Parking as requested and the bus arrived after 10 minute ...

Except for a slightly unnerving minibus ride through London rush hour traffic, no complaints - very efficient and good value for money - Purple Parking at Heathrow worked well for us and we would use them again.

I used Purple Parking at Heathrow while we spent a long weekend in New York. Going to the airport the bus driver went through a few red lights and almost crashing. On return from the airport the bus driver was quite rude. I would not use again.

Never ever use Purple Parking at Heathrow!! On our return we rang them, as arranged, to say we had landed and were making our way towards the baggage hall ..... this was at 19.25. Despite a further call to them, we were not collected from the bus stop at Terminal 1 until 20.33 ..... 1 hour 8 minutes later, and we then had to go to Terminal 3 and collect more people until the minibus was full to bursting. From the time of the first phone call until the moment we actually got back to our car t ...

Our car was parked as recommended by Purple Parking staff. We were asked to leave key in ignition. On return from holiday our car was moved to another place and left unlocked with its driver window down for five weeks. As a result the exterior and interior was covered in dust, radio stations were reprogrammed, music CD's gone and SAT NAV system missing from the boot. The bus driver told us to exit the bus in the middle of the car park with 2 children aged 3 and 5, tree large cases and several 4 ...

Terrible - please save yourself the time and trouble and do not use. They delivered our car back with a battery that was so dead that Purple Parking's battery booster was unable to start it. This despite us never having had any battery problems before or after. It meant a one hour delay and my wife and baby had to remove the baby seat and walk over to the taxi rank to get a black cab home (we had to pay the £66 charge) whilst I waited for the AA. Purple Parking customer services have been ...

Outbound journey was OK. Car park has a very awkward approach and is not near the airport. The return was very poor - over 30 mins to pick up and the driver took a poor route back as well as failing to call in the references meaning an additional delay. Purple Parking are the cheapest but extra money spent elsewhere is worth it. Avoid!

Car damaged whilst left with Purple Parking's Meet & Greet service at Terminal 5 for 3 weeks. After a 12 hour flight I was angry to find that the front metal part of my vehicle's bumper had been bent in 2 places with blue scuffs on the rubber bumper whilst in their care. I contacted Purple Parking before leaving Heathrow airport to report the damage and response from Customer Service was unhelpful and poor - nobody to take claim - just diverted to answerphone. Received no call-back. Called again ...

Appaling service at Purple Parking, Heathrow. I have used PP 3 times due to my company having an agreement with them, but never again. they got worse every time I used them. They are rude, slow and unorganised. The last time I used meet and greet, no-one came to meet me at the airport and as I was running late after waiting 15min for someone to show up, i had to give my cars keys to one of the employees who was just standing around (reluctantly). I called customer service 3 times and they just k ...

Purple Parking is awful - I can't recommend more to never use a company than this! After leaving my boyfriend in the country in the country he was working in I returned back to the UK to pick up my car. Collection was fine from the airport. However, they had lost the car and did not know where it was located. After a long haul flight the last thing that I wanted was the hour and a half wait for them to locate my car. The customer service was the worst that I have ever experienced!

Delivered my car to purple parking's pound and got minibus to heathrow. Arranged for car to be delivered to me at airport on my return. Experience was good until the morning after I had returned home. In daylight I could see that there was a purple pen mark on the car's cream leather, which was certainly not there before I left the car with purple parking. Reported this to purple parking - the outcome of their investigation was that nobdy in purple parking used purple pens and therefore they wer ...

Used purple Parking at Heathrow last a few weeks ago to fly to the states. The price was very good compared to other companies. Everything was pretty good at the begining. We were in a rush and very late due to a crash on the M25 so i was very concerened we would miss our flight. We dropped the car off and got into the mini van to take us to the airport. We sat in the van for about 15minutes but that time i was going crazy, the driver was really unhelpful and just said we needed to wait. Eventua ...

Customer Service is seriously lacking. Purple Parking phone attendants do not care about customers and will not help you in case there is a problem. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Find another solution for valet parking. There are others.

It was as well that we were not running late, once we had dropped of the car, we had a 25 minute wait before the minibus departed. Also on the return leg, we had a 30 minute wait before the bus turned up at the airport pick up point, despite the controller stating it will be there in ' 5 minutes '. I won't use them again

Car was undamaged. Car park seemed secure. Price was reasonable. Customer Service - We were the first ones on the drop off bus to be taken to the airport. After waiting a fair period of time the bus had filled up apart from 2 seats. When I politely explained to the driver that my flight was due to leave soon (we were later than anticipated due to traffic) he shrugged his shoulders and walked away, telling me the bus wasn't full and he wasn't leaving until it was. We missed our flight by 3 minute ...

I would really recommend anyone wanting a stress free parking experience to reconsider before using Purple Parking. The driver caught my suitcase and broke it on the mini bus on return from our trip. He apologised and I went to see the Manager who also apologised and I completed a complaints form. I received a reply saying that they would not be able to assist with my broken suitcase and that I should return it to the manufacturer! I was so angry and have let 3 answerphone messages for them ...

If you like your car, consider not using the drop-off service.....unless you want to risk picking up the valeting bill to get it clean again...inside and out! Their use of the word 'chauffeur' is up for debate in my opinion...

Customer service is obviously not a priority with Purple Parking and given the level of custom they get, who can blame them. But it only takes a few disgruntled customers before the drain starts.
