Having arrived at the Manchester carpark at 02.00 to collect our car we found the collection area was full of puddles from the recent rain and also the cars were parked in an area that had no lighting. Arrived to be met with a very friendly voice at the check in post. Found a space very easily and was on the bus to the airport within minutes of arriving. Our flight was delayed by over 3hrs on return, this had put us into another day of parking, I expected a charge for this but it never came. Last part of the directions to PP state 'carry on to the end of Brent Road'. We headed that way but there appeared to be a wall blocking the road, thus we assumed we'd made a false turn somewhere. We asked a factory gate watchman , but he didn't know where PP was. So we went back to the Tesco roundabout. By now getting worried about getting our flight we did a U turn & tried again. I like the fact that drop off and pick up have been trouble free, efficient and speedy ensuring smooth transfer to the airport and a quick getaway on return. On the down side waiting for the bus to arrive to collect from the airport on the return journey can be a pain. The website stated the first transport to terminal 5 at Heathrow was 3.30 a.m. This is not correct. My wife and I arrived at the site gate at 0310 hours and could not get in, even after pressing the buzzer. Eventually 10 minutes later we were allowed on site. The bus finally left for the airport at 0410 hours - the driver stating the information we were given about the time of the first bus was not correct. We were very impressed with the whole process, from getting a discount when enrolling as a member, to minimum waiting time in the early hours of the morning. easy to find and efficient on arrival (3.30 and helpful!). Good drop off at Heathrow. On return had to wait 50 minutes outside in the rain. 2 minibusses refused to take us and did not explain why. Booking was easy. Instructions to the car park were good. Signage at the turn-off from the Styal Rd. was poor - DMD was not present or easily seen. Further in there was a sign which listed 3 companies: DMD, FSS, TOAD. At the car park itself reference was only made to FSS. The meet and greet service was from Meteor, who offer a first class service, even standing waiting in the drop off point poised to take the car instantly as we were cutting it very fine for our flight. Shuttle bus in both direcetions was very quick and had hardly any wait both trips. On the return journey, the driver was very helpful and friendly. I asked for directions back to the M25 and he was very good in explaining how to get there and went over the directions until I was happy I knew the way. We've booked several times with Purple Parking. The latest booking was at East Midlands Car Park. The price charged was excellent and within walking distance of the airport. We realised mid-holiday that we had lost our car park ticket for the exit but fortunately as we had pre-booked and pre-paid it didn't matter. I have used Purple Parking's Meet & Greet from Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport on a number of occasions. It is so convenient to drop the car, unload and get straight into the terminal and since they have moved and have a dedicated supervisor based there the process takes as long you take to unload your vehicle! I travel regularly to see my daughter in Amsterdam, as a pensioner booking with PP enables me to stop worrying about how much the parking will cost and having to remember to pay before I go back to my car! I can book it in advance and make changes nearer the time if necessary. I always check my luggage weight at PP and if overweight I can take bits out and put back in the car. Staff are helpful and efficient. I will continue using them for the foreseeable future. (read more)

May 2013 flew from Hrow T5 to Italy. Whole process of booking, drop off and collection was totally pain free. Love the dedicated, permanently manned drop off point at T5 as you never know what traffic you are going to meet, and not having to phone and update timings.
