I've had my Sennheiser PX 200 headphones for 5 years (!) and am just replacing after snagging them and losing r channel :-( I did open 'em up and resoldered, but for £12 on ebay, I'm getting a fresh pair as the r channel isn't quite what it was.If your phone/player has an equiliser, then they will kick the sound up a notch...I increase the bass and higher end (but NOT the highest end), so the spectrum is a wave with peaks at both ends. With this I have INCREDIBLE sound out of these with full bass at the lowest ends and crisp detail at the high end.The equiliser makes a BIG difference, but play around with your settings/sound spectrum and you can tweak it just how you like it.Very good price for theseI also have a Stax set and a valve amp and these hold up against these very well, given the price point and portability

Like the best quality equipment these headphones need to be "burned in" for over 20 hours to hear them at their best. Don't judge them when you have just taken them out of the box as the diaphrams need time to loosen. The you will get good Bass extension.

Brilliant product. Well designed with good sound quality. Needs a music player with a high quality sound output to take advantage of the product (most ipods and other music players I have tried these on, including my Sansa E280 have terrible sound quality despite my music being encoded at a high bit rate. Sounds absolutely brilliant on my $400 Panasonic portable cd player from years back even from mp3 playback)It will survive a considerable amount of abuse for headphones as well. I am pleased wi ...

I've been using the Sennheiser PX 200 headphones for almost two years and what i can say is that it is a great buy on its price range. I've tried using the default iPod nano 2nd gen headset for almost 2 months but after i bought this px200, my ipod has never been the same again. its good bass and nice treble will make you hear synthesizers and other musical instruments of a track that you can never hear with regular ipod headsets. I also agree that the bitrate and quality of the track being play ...

I waited a long time to get these for my birthday. I have been extremely disappointed with them, but as they were a gift (and I've thrown the packaging out) it looks like I'm stuck with them!!! I have tried various EQ settings on my iPod, but I cannot get anywhere near the same quality and bass with the Sennheiser PX200 headphones that I get from the standard iPod in-ear phones, so I've gone back to them.

Don't listen to all these people that tell you that you need to ditch your iPod headphon ...

Overall, the Sennheiser PX200 headphones are a good product for the price. If your expectation is to obtain studio quality for a set of headphones from £23-£35, then think again. However, the PX 200 delivers adequate response, and generally performs very well.

I listen to a variety of music using my iPod; from classical, reggae, R&B and rock included, and these headphones have performed well. I believe that the quality of the sound is truly dependent on the source and the origina ...

I was a bit nervous about the quality of the Sennheiser PX 200 headphones before I got them, as I had read some bad reviews. I'm pleased to say though, that they have exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic sound and good quality build. They are obviously lightweight as they are only a small headphone, but the way that they are constructed doesn't cause me any concern.

Fantastic earphones! I think the people who have written bad reviews may have received a bad pair! I got mine off a website fo ...

Before I say anything: THESENNHEISER PX 200 HEADPHONES NEED AT LEAST A 6 HOUR RUN IN (10 hour would be better)... after that... decent bass that is very articulate and punchy rather than deep. For example, Groove Armada hits hard, but Pendulum or other D&B has less throb and ultimate power than I'm used to. Bass guitar is clearly heard on most recordings and is fast and tight. Good! They do keep noise out better than many designs, but by no means are they sound proof - you will still know you're ...

I'm a student of audio engineering, and I bought the Sennheiser PX 200 headphones with the intention of really enjoying the sound quality of the iPod better and not have to hold the earphones pressed in to get a bass response.

For £40 these have abysmal sound. Nowhere near the match of a standard pair of earphones. Big holes in the upper-mid frequency response, and no accuracy to bring the sound to life. I can barely believe these are Sennheiser! I'll be taking these back, and I hope t ...

I received Sennheiser PX 200 headphones yesterday after trying a friends PX100's at work. After watching my work mate's nod along with the tunes I was listening to I knew I wanted the closed back design of the PX200's. I hate listening to other people's music spilling out of their headphones, so I try to be conscientious of others on the tube.

I plugged these into my ipod and was instantly disappointed - thin reedy sound and fairly uncomfortable fit. I left my ipod running to break these in a ...

Sennheiser PX200 - I pretty much bought these headphones on the strength of the reviews here, but I must say I am disappointed in them. Sure they give a good quality of sound, they fold up nicely and you don't even notice that you are wearing them, they are so comfy.

But - when I compare them with my standard 4G iPod bud phones they just aren't as good. The volume isn't there and they lack the roundness of sound that I was hoping for. The sound is crystal clear, but the bass is somewhere off ...
