“Delayed Flights becoming the norm”

I fly through Calgary regularily from Grande Prairie and Kamloops and it seems the Westjet flights are delayed or cancelled and at the same time the Air Canada flights are going. “Westjet; sleazy as a used car salesman”

After showing my flight and the majority of other flights as on time for departure for the entire day even though it had been snowing in Calgary, I made the decision to go to the airport. I arrived early, checked that my flight was still on time; it was), I passed through security and sat by the gate. I was notified 20 minutes before departure that the flight will be delayed 15 minutes due to late departure of the plane; not a problem. “worst flights and awful customer service”

Due to winds our flight from eastern canada to Calgary was late in arriving by 25 min. There was 8 of us with a connecting flight to Saskatoon. The flight was scheduled to leave in 15 min. from our landing. Too bad for us all. We were however allowed to get the next due flight 5hrs. later. No voucher for food or drink. “Cancelled flights without notice ”

I arrived at the airport ready to check in and was informed that I had been directed to a next day flight and for god's sake it is summer!!! What weather re-direct flights could there be? Then they give you a taxi voucher to take you home - one thinks that that is really nice - not really as you think you can take any cab - no not the airport cab that charges a different fare and you get home upset and you have to pay the difference!!! “trying to rip off people”

They suck they try to rip you off at every turn ur 8lbs over they charge u $59 when u could have put items in ur carry on and added another bag for $20. Then when you go to board plane they want u to pay another $20 to put ur bag in the belly of the plane cuz it looks to big. But for me I pushed it into the ripe off device they have. Then removed it. Flew from YVR to YUL, due to electric failure, first flight was late...staff promised connecting flight would wait as there were many others...in Edmonton, flight was gone. Were given connection 8 hours later. When we found out there was an earlier flight, we asked if we could be put on it. The ground staff told us it was sold out. “Flew from Calgary to Hawaii from April 14 to 25 ”

Some crew members were sarcastic and had a non-caring attitude. I made a concern about the section my wife and I were sitting (very cold section seat 8A and 8B), but one sad sack just shrugged and said it was warm in the rest of the plane. The seats are cramped and you feel like you are in a sardine can. The captains were overweight and it doesn't look like West Jet checks their physical health before allowing them to fly the plane. “Westjet and Air Canada - same manure, different pile”

Westjet has gotten too big. Booked flights from Saskatoon to Abbotsford (through Calgary) returning 4 days later. On both trips, they ran late, refused to wait for connection in Calgary, forcing us to stay overnight in Calgary. I understand that this sometimes happens. However - twice in 4 days? Also, on both occasions, the connector flights were still on the ground in Calgary. This makes no sence - and so reminds me of Air Canada. “Worse customer service and pet service EVER”

I moved from Toronto to Calgary today. I have a pet ferret, Bella, and I have had her since she was two months old, and she is now almost eight. I flew with WestJet, which does not allow ferrets on board at all; the only option is to use Westjet Cargo. First, I was told I can only book a cargo shipment a maximum of five days in advance. We booked a few days with west jet vacations to vegas for a short get away and to have some fun. So to be early in prince George we came the night before to pg and spend a night in a hotel. First thing after arrival at pg airport 5am was checking in. After that was done we checked the screen and we realized our flight was delayed. WestJet has become a total rip-off mill. Since introducing 3 so called classes, its nothing more than manipulation and fear mongering set up to trick you and take advantage of people. Case in point: One way ticket from LA to Vancouver March 23 2014. The plane is going to be at the LA airport because it is inbound from an incoming flight. Air travel to and from Cancun, no TV's there or back. Flight took seven hrs forty five minutes return, with no clarification Extremely bad trip, will bear in mind other carriers next trip. I found superior but inexpensive flights on theholidayhotels.

“Lost my luggage three days wrecked my holiday.”

I landed in mobay and spent 3 days without luggage or medication for lung infection so I spent the first week of allmost a three week vacation sick without my meds.Now I'm trying to go home for a 8:15 flight delayed to 11:45 then delayed again to 1:35 which puts me on the ground with a 1 hr drive at around 6am in my bed to be at work at 8 am.The part that gets me is westjet send emails I can't read as they show on my phone as jibberish and in the midst of all this there has not been any… Read Full Review

“Left behind in Aruba”

Last Dec. 31st, 2013 me and my family went on a vacation trip to Aruba thinking it would be a very relaxing time and it was just until the time for coming back home to Toronto. “Extremly Bad Service”

I traveled with WestJet one week ago from Toronto to Tampa Florida. We're still waiting for two bags that didn't make it to Tampa. Naturally it happens. However WestJet handling of the situation it disgraceful. The gave me a website and a number to call. No one answer the phone that they gave me. The message asks me to leave a message and get a call back in 24 hours. I left a VM on that number every day. No one called me yet. Just a short on an experiences. Nov 7 kamloops to Edmonton 47 min late landing Dec 30 Edmonton to kamloops via calgary. Calgary to kamloops delayed 2 hours the pilot to scared to land so flight was sent back to Calgary NOT vancouver ??? Sent to a hotel 30 mins away with two 10 dollar food vouchers (classy). “They believe their own BS but I no longer do. ”

Much like kids who are taught self esteem but no values, WestJet employees think they are special because, well, they are told they are. They, apparently, no longer feel they have to earn or work at having a good reputation. Employees think that smiling and talking in a pleasant tone is by itself sufficient. It is not. I'm sick of the annoying parental tone. It's as if I'm a child who does not know better. Rather than work out a problem they merely inform you of the rule. But it's done ever so… Read Full Review

Plus Service is a total waste of money. The seats have been squished so much that my husband sat for three hours with his shoulders so hunched up that he was unable to read his book.
