I used to love Delta. Today and as of late, the airline has failed me and I am down. It's CEO sounds great but should pay attention to the real deal. That is customers that support the airline not its status members. I flew from SF to SD with a lay over in LA. 9 hours later versus a planned one hour lay over, I sit here aggravated. “Canceled Flight MESS”

Las Vegas to MPLS, Excellent Flight. MPLS to Rochester, MN. 2+hour delay on a clear day. No snow on the ground/weather in the area. When the crew and plane finally arrived... the crew had to "get dinner." Delaying our flight another 30 min. I could have driven to Rochester in this time frame and save $150. “Wonderful Experiences on Delta”

In November and December of this year my husband and I made several trips on Delta -- a total of eight flights. Each and every flight went very smoothly. We were treated well by every Delta employee with whom we came in contact. Prior to this, we had been flying Alaska Airlines for years, and we were astounded at the difference. “Rude Crew ”

From beginning to end the staff and crew members are not friendly at all and treats passengers bad. My husband is a disabled veteran and he asked if he could check his bag for free. The man at Check in laughed and told him no it would be different if he was active. He laughed at him again. Also to hear my husband say sometimes he wonder why he fought for our country is heart breaking. He is not active duty for a reason he got hurt 90 percent disabled he physically can not serve anymore not by choice.

“Great Flight, best in a long time”

I do a lot of traveling around the world, I've been all over the place, which means a lot of flying. I flew on Delta in August this year and it was a fantastic flight, the staff were very helpful, the food was actually nice and as a tall person (6ft 5") you can imagine I have a problem with the tiny amount of leg room they give you. Why when I pay for a ticket 2 weeks out Delta can not assign a seat to me. I asked at check in ," ask at gate" ask at gate " ask when you get to Atlanta gate " well what happens when I'm dong the 5 mile run through the Atlanta airport and barley get to the plane , I wonder what they will say, will my seat be given away ? “Missing Item”

Upon arriving home and unpacking, it was discovered that my bag had been screened for security purposes. Which I have no problems with. However, they decided I didn't need my only charger I had for one of my electronic devices. Of course, it is the only charger I actually needed and granted that it was a small enough bag to be a carry-on (which I should have done and then I would still have my charger)but it is just the fact of the matter that now I have to go out and purchase another one… Read Full Review

“Delta treats fliers like dirt”

A flight from Miami to Albuquerque was hell. First they charge for first bag. Airport delay, OK I understand weather. Stop over in Atlanta, Ok but for 3 hours? Then, plane and gate change with delay. Finally get to Albuquerque and the inexperienced gate person couldn't get the gate to the plane. Then at baggage, they told us that they had to load a plane before they could unload our plane. We were impressed with Delta Airlines international service, our first time flying this airline, probably because we flying to Atlanta rather than to other East Coast locations in the USA. We purchased our tickets online, no hassles with payment, or booking the seats we wanted AND these didn't get changed. We've had that happen with some other airlines where they change the seats about a week before, and no hassles with electronic boarding passes either. “Our Choice of Airline”

Having flown several carriers, my wife and I prefer Delta flights whenever possible. I am amazed at the poor reviews that some leave; have they tried flying UA for instance? Delta has always been efficient, friendly and on time. Our son, a novice traveler, missed his return flight home. In spite of an incredibly busy morning, the gate attendant had him rebooked within 15 minutes and, unlike other airlines we have flown, did not charge him a cent for the rebooking. “Dumped in another city - no help to get where I needed...”

Had to find my own "bus" to get where I needed after my first flight was delayed, I missed my next flight and they didn't even offer me a meal or help to get to where I was going! The girl at the counter laughed at me, turned her back and refused to help! She told her coworker that maybe she would have me bumped from my next flight, too! Booked a trip for two to Italy through Costco Travel five months before I planned to go flying on Delta Airline. I wasn't real happy with the return flight which was LAX, Salt Lake and Ontario, CA. But figured I could live with it. Delta for some reason always has excuses for anything and everything when it comes to customer service... As a business traveler who flys over a hundred segments and until recently do to change in travel destinations was informed to fly Delta.. What a mistake if there is an issue, constantly blaming or even trying to resolve any conflict ... “Hilarios reasons and fasle promises by Delta”

The flight DL 050 was delyaed at Atlanta by almost 5 hrs. The reason given by the officials was 'Pilot not available'. What a reason for an international flight, operated by Delta. After reaching Amsterdam, to my surprise though mine was direct flight to Mumbai, I was re-booked on EK 150 to Dubai and then 9W 541 to Mumbai. “Show a little compassion ”

My wife and I had scheduled a flight from Birmingham AL. to State College PA. to attend my mothers funeral. The flight was scheduled to leave Birmingham at around 10:15 on the morning of 1/29/14. Unfortunately Birmingham was hit with a terrible snow storm the morning of 1/28/14. The storm left the entire Birmingham area gridlocked with hundreds of cars abandoned. A $25 voucher to use Delta again, something I absolutely will never be doing! “Cancellations, Broken lugguage, Horrible customer...”

They never compensated us fairly for our cancellation and lost hotel room, travel expenses, and other costs of planning a trip. Broke my suitcase handle and said it was not covered to be compensated so had to go to the store and purchase a new one.
