    I have been traveled by more than 15 airlines worldwide , either full service or budget airlines and I must say this is the worst airline i ever flew with. On our inbound flight, the moment you step in to the aircraft, it was total darkness and you have difficulty to locate your seat. The air- con was not switched on and upon consulting the air stewardess,it was told that the air-con will only fully switch on when the aircraft is on the air, shocking. In the middle of the 11 hours flight, i requested for some food and i was shocked to notify that they don't have anything to serve and was told to wait till breakfast time.The worst is still to come. On my return flight as the air stewardess was serving meal upon reaching me, i ask the cabin crew to infor the passenger in front to put the seat upright and to my horror, I was told to ask by myself.
    If you see this airline, run as fast as you can.

    What a terrible airline!!!

    Flights taking of late with no exsplanation

    Rude,unhelpfull, poorly trained, none English speaking staff

    Films only in Turkish with no English sub-titles

    Seats with no view of TV screens if you can speak Turkish

    Dirty planes with scruffy seats and food on the floor

    Staff not checking if seat belts are fastened

    Passengers landing with seats back, trays down and drinks still in front of them

    Hot stuffy aircraft

    And thats just to start with

    Never again ...

    The flight to me is okay most especially from lagos,Nigeria to Istanbul.The plane was big and very clean.It was okay.

    If you want to feel like a military camp, fly Turkish Airlines, no respect for none Turkish passenger.

    I'm usually not bothered by budget airlines-you get what you pay for. But after flying with Turkish airlines I really recommend you shop around for something else - You deserve better!!! If you want to be treated with the kind of sullen contempt that a 14 year old holds for his parents, then Turkish airlines is for you!     This story is entitled sublime to the ridiculous. Outbound flight with SAGA airlines left Gatwick just ten mins late and we arrived a liitle early. Nothing but praise. Return journey a NIGHTMARE! Six hour delay leaving Bodrum. No explanation given. Aircraft kept ridiculously warm.

    I read reviews about SAGA before leaving and it seems that flying with the airline can be a hit or spectacular miss affair.

    While departing from Mumbai on May 29 at the un-earthly hour of 0450hrs, Turkish Airlines re-scheduled by over an hour without any reasons. And then on our return from Istanbul to Mumbai, flight was delayed by over 3 hours! No reason or explanation was given at all. Over 150 passengers were waiting for over 3 hours with no explanations, announcements, etc and it took about 20 passengers surrounding the senior ground staff person to eke out of him that someone in operations has changed the plane ...

    This is by far the WORST airline I have EVER travelled in. I won't write a very long review for fear of boring readers but here's a summary list of the woes that befell the 3 us while on a short holiday over Easter: 1) Flight departure delayed by 2 hours without warning or explanation, when we finally boarded the plane, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes (again no warning or explanation) before we finally took off.     I was very apprehensive when I booked my tickets with turkish Airlines on a long haul flight. I find it difficult to sleep on a flight therefore for me a good on -flight entertainment system is a must. I was aware that only few flights have personal video systems in place and I found none on the journey I took. Apart from that everything else was absolutely fine.     The food was great on Turkish Airlines, friendly service, nice cabin interiors, comfortable and a truly great selection of newspapers, and entertainment.

    Generally i found Turkish Airlines to be a great airline, however the mass haul routes such as ATA- LHR, are overwhelming. I have had some of the best experiences on the FCO-ATA, ATA-MSP, ATA-ZHR and ATA-VIE. Generally domestic service with THY is great as well.

    Awful food, some unhelpful staff, plane seemed poorly ventilated, hot, and uncomfortable. Unexplained delays, poor communication. Never again! (unless you want poor service).

    Love flying Turkish airlines. Every time a pleasure. Been a regular customer between Europe and Bangkok, preferring Turkish over other airlines. Routes flown, CGN-IST-BKK, ZRH-IST-BKK

    I have never flown with this company before and having read earlier reviews I approached the flight from Heathrow to Ercan (North Cyprus) with trepidation. However, my fears were groundless as it was a good flight each way with only minimal delays. It was lacking in-flight entertainment and some travellers may consider this important, and perhaps on a longer journey I would too, but I was happy to read a book and enjoy a peaceful flight without a flickering tv screen and accompanying muffled vol ...

    This summer I had to go to Saudi Arabia unexpectedly. So I booked my flight with Turkish airlines, since I had to leave on the same day and it was the only airlines available. The duration of the flight from Manchester, UK to Istanbul was about 4 hours 40 mins and from Istanbul to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 3 hours. From Manchester to Istanbul was a nightmare.     I flew with Turkish Airlines only once (Amsterdam-Istanbul flight). The first thing I realized that there were not any queue for check in, there were 3 counters, I got my boarding pass quickly. That was really impressive for me (especially after waiting 3 hours in Schiphol to get my boarding pass in my previous flight with another airline).     We went from Manchester to Istanbul then on to Dalaman, staff very polite, food good we even got a salad or cob and drink f.o.c on the hour flight to Dalaman. Luggage arrived on transfer flight ok. I would recommend them better than any English flights I've been on where I've been treated like cattle, also there were no big lines of people at check-in desk.
    Allowance 23kg and hand luggage 8kg great.

    TurkishAirlines has excellent offers, reliable, price, always on time! Clean and well maintained airplanes. No bad points in my opinion.

    The flight was on time, but took forever to board. After an hour of sitting on the plane we took off. I am not Turkish and it seemed every time that I spoke in English to a crew member, they were disgusted by me. At the destination all of my baggage was lost. Over a horrible experience.

    I've been flying with TA for 4 years now and I've never really had a problem with the cabin crew or my luggage.. the only problem I've experienced is the in-flight turbulence and I had a nightmare of an experience when I travelled with TA for the first time.. everyone was bouncing around and the plane was never steady and straight for more than 5 minutes.. turbulence I guess is something one cant avoid, but it was an old plane, a Boeing and we were flying into a thunderstorm..
