    Good Points: Sound quality. Convenience.


    Bad Points: No battery facility. Off-board transformer means big, bulky, ugly, black plug (not great in a kitchen).


    General comments: TEAC SR-L30 - This is a great piece of kit. Very good sound from in-built speakers. Unbelievably good if you listen through a top notch set of HIFI headphones - I was truly amazed by this.

    Small, neat, looks much better than the pure Evoke 2.

    I haven't tried it as a HIFI tuner, but given the headphone performance, I have no doubt that it would sound very good through a decent amp and speakers.

    Only disappointments are as set out in bad points summary. These are not truly 'bad' points, but limitations that one has to accept if buying this set.
