I bought this amp several years ago and its still going strong. Excellent sound quality for the price and built like a tank and drives my B&W's with ease..now disontinued but if you can get your hands on one well worth it!

Had many many amps and worked within the hifi industry, always felt that Sony offered excellent value for money and excellent sound quality within it's price point. The Sony TA-FB940 has done nothing to disolve that impression, I'd say it ranks very well with more costly British designs .It has a fairly ggod power delivery considering its modest cost and rating , drives my Magnaplanars with consumate ease anhd revels in highend fronts played through it, one of the best I've heard in a long time up to the £1000 mark.
