This holiday was to celebrate my 70 birthday with my children and grandchildren. It was super a d we had a terrific time. The chalet position could not be better, right opposite the lift and in the centre of the village. The chalet staff were friendly welcoming and very helpful. The food was good and plentiful, breakfasts were very good. The areas of improvement are so easy to initiate and are as follows. The evening welcome by Clem and team and the chef explaining dinner all great, but the chefs clothes were filthy and his white top was a very dingy grey!!! now you might think this doesn't matter but cleanliness is important to many of us. It was the same apron, shirt and trousers and shoes all week! We had the same towels all week. When we have stayed with crystal we had new towels in the middle of the week. Lastly, the knives and forks were always sparkly clean! We watched them being polished on paper rolls. However, the glasses were grim! I took to taking mine to the washroom, most conveniently located nearby. Towards the end of the week glasses were looking a tad better so maybe someone noticed!!! Our room 210 was very very small. We would not take this room again and hearing there were two empty rooms asked to move but were told not possible "due to bed configuration". The duvet barely covered the bed, the basin was blocked when we arrived, the shower had to be hand held, and we had only one bulb operational in the room. The basin and bulbs were corrected very soon after I mentioned to Stu our Total Rep who was a most charming and helpful guy. This is NOT a big moan as we had a great holiday and as I have said the staff in the chalet were most charming friendly and helpful. However these little details make a difference and are easily to remedy. You asked for my comments and these are they! As long I didn't have room 210 I would love to go again to this chalet. Other guests were super too. I hope my comments are helpful. Gina Meeres (Nichols and Perrin)

Cascades Chalet is newly fitted/extented and in an excellent location just across the road from the piste. 1650 is now better than 1850. food isn't amazing but fine for a three star - but its the same in all total chalets, even the four plus star ones

This year was fantastic in Courcheval. This year was the best ski holiday I have had so far. Super travel were great. The accommodation was 1st class and the food at our accommodation was well balanced and of good quality. Our reps were very helpful and we were made to feel very welcome.
The snow this season was great and really good to ski. We had 3 valley passes, but the area was so vast that we didn't manage to cover all of the valleys in our week.... next time. All in all, this was a great holiday and I have no hesitation in going to Courcheval again. I had been there before, but this year was better and the resort is the best I have been to. The pistes were fantastic. The town is small, but we were there to ski...not go shopping. Expensive for food, especially on piste restaurants.
