After 2 days of futile attempts trying to obtain a satisfactory signal and service, I finally cancelled the contract yesterday. BT mobile is a very poor product expensively "wrapped and marketed". They, [BT] are piggy- backing on other lesser providers in the mobile market and the resultant mess can only drive potential customers away! Take my advice and stick with "devil you know" ie- Vodafone and O2. They at least do know what they are doing… Read Full Review

Really bad service. I have had to ring 3 times on the landline to get up and running. By the evening my sim was blocked and the lady at BT could not see that it was blocked and was asking me what it said. I could not ring or receive calls at all. I gave notice at this point. I decided to give the £5 a month deal as am with BT for phone and internet, Sim arrived quickly and ported my number to BT in one day, Great, Then i went abroad in Europe and although i could call and text at the extra euro prices i could not get a data connection. Called them was told my settings were wrong and was given the right ones which i already had on my phone. My husband changed to BT mobile and was told he could keep his same number and it would take 24 hours to change it over. Hell no eleven days later and two land line phone calls to say they were working on it he still had no phone with BT and they couldn't offer any explanation why the number wouldn't change over as he had given BT his PAK number he couldn't even go back to his old supplier. I am with BT and since they stated using ee I can no longer receive calls at home without a separate device and not at all in my weekend cottage whereas when they used the Vodafone network everything worked well. Having been cold called by BT mobile to supply a mobile which would tag on to my landline and save me charges on call diversion and include free calls to other mobiles etc; I signed up. Do not, ever, use BT mobile as a business option. the system only piggy backs Vodafone, so you might as well got direct to them We sourced ours through Cutler Communication who are the BT provider. Cutler is Shocking, all they tell you is to phone BT. BT are non the more helpful either. 2 things 1. do not ever use Cutler Communication 2. Do not ever use BT pants, pants, pants. £12.75 monthly contract fees is extortionate. If you roll out iPhones on the BT mobile network, you may as well simply send BT blank business cheques and allow them to take as much money as they want. On the surface 1Gb of data seems generous, but £2 per Mb if you exceed this limit is scandalous!!! You can't tether, therefore you will need to pay for an additional dongle. Been with BT for business land line ISDN, phone system and BT mobile for over two years>We have 6 mobiles BT Mobile don;t keep me waiting on the phone, they change the headsets if problems.We get a return bags sent out with new phone so NO waiting in for delivery. Am getting Tablets for the vans, we have had very good service from BT unlike most of the company s that we deal with who slate their phone company. I have just read some of these views with astonishment. I had never had a smartphone before and signed up for 2 years with a Blackberry 8520. They were very good at helping me set up my email accounts. I have never had a problem with the phone and I get good signals where other networks are useless.

As a business owner I signed up to the BT Mobile service 12 months ago (2 year contract). During this time I have had the handset swapped no less than 8 times - each time meaning I have had to stay in the office and sit around all day waiting for the swap, as opposed to being out earning the money I should be. At £48.50 a month plus VAT for a BT Mobile business tarrif it is very expensive and that is including a discount because I signed up for a 2 year contract to get this price. This contract gave me 500 minutes a month and unlimited text messages and the phones you get to choose from are very poor.
Coverage wasn't very good when you consider that they used to be part of cellnet so I believed that they would have been on the same network as o2.

Took two phone calls to get sim card posted (no record of the first) and when it arrived it was not registered. After about two hours on the phone (most of it listening to music!) being redirected or being told I had phoned the wrong number and to try another. I even phoned OFTEL to ask them if they had the number I should phone. I emailed them as well.
5 days later the SIM card was still not activated so I went to TESCOs and bought TESCO SIM card. Old number transferred in two days.

I've been cut off 3 times from BT Mobile (two of these times they couldn't explain the reasons). They said one was because of the direct debit (their error), so I made a payment with my credit card, which took the boy in the billing department 35 minutes??? 20 minutes of that was spent on hold!

After a relatively painless 1st year with BT Mobile, I decided to upgrade the phone and tarriff. This is because the initial 12 month contract jumped up to some ridiculous monthly rate.
No problem: one phonecall, new Sony Erikkson arrived next day, promises of £9.99/month tarriff-so far so good. Until following month when next bill came in, the £9.99 had turned into £39.
