Good Points: Superb fridge.
Bad Points: None.
General comments: Love the Maytag MFD2560HES fridge. I've owned it for well over a year and haven't had any problems with it. I would recommend it to a friend and family member.

For a refrigerator that is not 4 years old, there should have been no problems. Now the Jazz board on my Maytag MFD2560HES is shot and Maytag says its my problem they will not cover. I will never but a Maytag product again.

If I would have known this kind of front panel problem is becoming more and more common with a Maytag product I would not have bought the refrigerator. The refrigerator is 12 months and two weeks old, just enough to be out of warrantee. Since Maytag knows this is a growning problem they need to extend coverage to all owners of the Bottom freezer/French door refrigerator.

We thought we were buying a quality product when we purchased this fridge in August 2004. 9 months later in May 2005, it died - no cold - no freezer. That time we were able to get a service call the same day that I called and they had to replace the entire control board. Now here we are in March 2007 and the same thing has happened! This is the second time in 2.5 years that the majority of our food is spoiled and this fridge was not CHEAP!!!!! I would demand a replacement fridge except that the ...

I purchased my Maytag MFD2560HES Refrigerator in Dec 2004, within days I realized I had a problem with the fresh foods freezing. I documented the temperature variations and noted that the refridge compartment frequently dropped from 40 to 30 degrees while the temp was set at a constant 4. The freezer also set at 4, would sometimes blow snow crystals all over my food. I have had 4 service calls since Jan. 2005, it is not fixed yet. The mounting for the plastic deli door has broken off too.

We bought a Maytag MFD2560HES side by side 3 years ago, they are trying to tell me it was over a year before that. Impossibe. I didn't live in my house until after that. So bought the part they said it needed. No diagram nothing, no information about removing old parts. Wrong part that is not what is wrong with it. Temperature controls go out in fridge and self defrost mechanism. In my opinion it is a piece of trash. Why is it we have better technology than 20 years ago and things only la ...

We bought the Maytag MFD2560HES french door refrigerator 3 months ago. Last week it died. No cold, nada. Maytag sent a repairman out in 2 days. He had not a clue about dealing with the main control panel malfunction. He called and ordered another one and told me to contact the factory and check on the part today, about a week later. I was told by Maytag that the new control panel should be in "the middle of next week". That means that we are without a refrigerator for a minimum of 2 weeks. Since ...

Maytag MFD2560HES - Beware of the Maytag French Door refrigerator.
The hose built in to the refrigerator that runs up the back of the refrigerator from the external water source connector to the water filter is prone to be nicked or cut in transport. This hose has a bit of slack in it at the bottom of the refrigerator. If you push that slack against the refrigerator, it goes right on top of a hex nut screw. The wooden frame that is used to secure the refrigerator to its box during transport ...

EXTERIOR: The Maytag fridge on impression looks stylish with the stainless french doors and bottom mount freezer. However, after seeing several model of its kind on different store on display and asking the salesman, they disclosed that french door models have a design flaw. (When you close the left door fast, it will cause the left door to be pushed forward and then remain open) A door alarm would compromise for this.
POWER CONSUMPTION: Excellent being one of the lowest, if not the lowest en ...
