Good Points: Great sense of space. Wonderful poolside area and good poolside services including beautifully designed restaurant. Small but attractive garden. Diving facilities good. Gym off pool, which is a great idea. Spacious rooms. Good food with a particularly good breakfast buffet. Lots of excellent touches. It is more than a typical 4* hotel.
Bad Points: Starting to look like it needs some decoration in parts. But not in any sense tatty or run down. Somewhat unfortunate that the central atrium is to one side and not central to the hotel. This means some of the rooms are quite a walk from the lift.
General comments: I would recommend the Timanfaya Palace Hotel as a very high quality first class hotel. Friendly, accessible, very attractive in design and ambiance. Good food. Well laid out rooms. The whole poolside experience is wondeful and has quite a touch of class. I have returned again and again
