    Remington is amazing, it is easy to use, comfortable and can heat upp in exactly 60 seconds! This product is very good and worth the money. It is much better and i only got it for £24.99
    Now I don't have to go to my hairdresser atleast twice a month to get my hair sorted out! A lot of people had complimented me about my hair. Excellent. 5/5 stars

    I had the Remington 2X Protection Slim Straightener for about 7 months and they worked perfectly but then they broke due to my sister dropping them on the tile floor! So I bought new ones and I've had them about 10 months and they are in perfect condition! They straighten really easily and don't pull at my hair. They are quite hot and straighten all my hair in about 8 minutes (my hair is really hard to straighten due to lots of short layers and waviness) so I would definitely recommend these!

    Fast heat up. Good shine on hair. Remington 2X Protection Slim straighteners are excellent. Ceramic plating did not last long (I straighten my hair twice a week) It didn't last the year. I always thought you had to spend a lot of money for straight hair. These little beauties prove otherwise!!!

    The Remington 2X Protection Slim Straightener heat up fast. Good shine on hair Excellent. I always thought you had to pay a lot for straight hair. These prove otherwise!!!

    Remington 2X Protection Slim Straightener are good quality for a relatively cheap product. The plates wear away too quickly. I like the product

    I have had my straighteners for just over one year. I have now just purchased some new ones to replace mine. Not that I am unsatisfied with my current ones.

    They have kept my hair straight and smooth for more than a year now, and only now about 17 months after first being used, the ceramic has started to come off. But I am not to bothered, as I have used my Remington 2X Protection Slim Straightener for so long and every day.

    I bought my first Remington 2X Protection Slim Straighteners about 2.5 years ago and they lasted me until about 6 months ago when the cable started to work itself loose. They are under a three year warranty so I sent them off with a nice letter suggesting that they might want to add a swivel cable. I recieved a brand new set of straighteners back and Remington were one step ahead, already having added a swivel cable.     Now only heat up when red light is on. Sounds like normal but they have broken and the red light only comes on whilst holding straighteners in certain positions- upside down.

    They still do the job but I am looking for new ones- (possibly remington again) again as I cant hold them in strange positions all the time to get my hair perfectly straight- although alright for getting little kinks out.

    I think my Remington 2X Protection Slim Straightener is a great straightener, being very flexible with the long cord and slim head and they heat up really quickly! However, I have found that the more I use them, the plates seem to wear out. I do think they were a good price for how long they have lasted and I am continuing to use them. I have very thick hair and they have worked really well on it, the straightness last for a few days.

    I've had the Remington 2X Protection straighteners for about two years and within the first 4 or 5 months they worked very well. But after that they took much longer to heat up ( when I first got them they took 30 seconds, as they are meant to). They took around 12 or 13 minutes to heat up fully. The outside of the plates where you grip while straightening gets very, very hot and is almost untouchable!     Overall I think that my Remington 2x Protection Slim straighteners are great! They give very professional results that come pretty close to GHD (which is very good for the price they sell them at). The one thing I would recommend is to get the ones with TEFLON which I have just bought recently as it protects the plates from pealing. The other thing I wasn't very happy with was the cable was quite fragile, the part that is attached to the straighteners came loose meaning I had to buy a new pair.. ...

    When I first bought my straighteners, I was very happy with them indeed. Soon they started to lose their quality as the ceramic started to peel off, the temperature dial broke and the on/off switch broke, and when the switch was turned to off they started to smoke, so had to switch them off at the mains.

    I think the Remington 2X Protection Slim Straightener is very good value for money, but I am not sure whether I would recommend it, as the ceramic peels of rather easily within a very few months of purchase. However, it does keep hair poker straight and it doesn't take much time. It creates shine and smoothness to frizzy dry hair, making it very straight and sleek! The heat pro bag is perfect, and it is partly why I bought the actual straightener!

    Overall, a very good straightener!

    Well overall I'm very happy with my Remington straighteners but after only having them three months and reading the reviews I am dreading the cable breaking! I applied for the 12 month warranty though. They only cost me £30 so it's not too bad if they last me that long as they straighten my hair really well.

    When i first got my 2x protection straighteners, they were great and heated up really fast, and made my hair look sleek and smooth, but after a while the ceramic peeled off, therefore not leaving that shine and sleekness that i first experience. I then decided to send them back because the light was flickering, causing uneven heat on the plates. I received a new pair with no problems, and the customer services were very helpful.     This is the 2nd Remington 2X Protection Slim Straightener I've had, both lasted less than a year due to loose wire, and they won't come on. I see from these reviews it's a common problem. Would not buy these again.

    Have had the Remington 2X Protection Slim straightners for 5 months and the ceramic started to peel after about 4 months and then the wiring became faulty. I am extremely unhappy with this due to the fact I think they are expensive at £49.99.

    I upgraded to the Remington 2X Protection Slim Straightener after my Remington Slim ceramic straighteners broke down, and I was immediately very impressed.

    I have thick, coarse, wavy/curly hair, and these straighteners get my hair perfectly straight, smooth and shiny (my GHD-owning friend was so impressed she kept borrowing them!).
