SAMSUNG HT-DB120 DIGITAL HOME CINEMA SYSTEM Seemed to cause a lot of performance trying to sort out the speakers & even now they dont all seem to work when you expect them too.

Gave up bothering wth it for a while as too tired to fight with it when I wanted to relax.
Now the battery acid has leaked into the hand controller & I can't find anyone to help me get a replacement!! Currys tell me this model is out of stock. I tried Samsung & it did not recognise the number.

My husband with a lot of hard work found a number for Samsung Head Office & spoke to them. Watch this space & hope for me that with will not have to trash the Home Cinema which is only a couple of years old just becaue of the Hand Controller!!!

I am the owner of this Samsung HTDB120 home system cinema and now I have a problem with it maybe you can help me: I bought it three years ago and worked perfect until yesterday when I tuned it on and heard a unusual sound. Then appeared on the screen 'PROTECTION' for 5 second. And it tuned off... I don't know what to do..maybe you can help me..please..

When the Samsung HTDB120 works, it works well. I have it set up in a spare Tv room. The short lifespan shocks me though. I know of 3 people plus me who bought this unit within a month of each other. I was the unlucky one to have to pay for the 'eye' to be replaced , the other 3 were still under their 1 year warranty. Now 4 months later (repair warranty expired) the unit has the same problem! Is this a common problem that the lens goes faulty - should it not last longer than a year?

The Samsung HTDB120 home theater is great and so is the price. However, I would really change that slow drive. MY computer's DVD is even faster than the Samsung's. All the features are great and the sound rocks!!!! I can't believe I've got such a good system for such a low price. You can change the wallpaper, it is just like a computer in your bedroom. The device is excellent. Nonetheless, I am starting to get worried about the problem the other user mentioned about the sound processor. Gotta be careful!

The Samsung HTDB120 is a fantastic looking peice of kit! I picked it up in the Dixones sale last christmas (2003) for £150 and haven't been let down, until recently. I have this hooked up through my xbox for surround sound and also my Telewest digi TV box for surround sound on cable TV which sounds great. The only complaint about the sound is the dealy in the surround sound through the analogue audio inputs and you are using somehting like a cable TV box. If you have your TV volume on as well you can notice a 1 second delay between the sound outputs, a bit annoying but not life threatning, just need to mute your TV.

    for weesteev......
the split second delay in sound I solved by running 'test sound' around through all the speakers at least once.
There is a button on the remote that does this, it plays a fuzzy noise through each speaker once, including the sub which just comes out as a rumble (which sounds ace) and only takes like 10secs. however the delay in sound will come back after a longer period of time.
