As a visitor to Manchester and in dire need of a haircut I took pot luck and went to the Razors Edge Fountain Street salon. The stylist was very attentive, friendly and genuine. She listened to my request and gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. I'm now absolutely stumped as I live in Bristol and won't be able to get back to Manchester to have my haircut again! I can't recommend the Fountain STreet salon highly enough.

i came to Razors Edge in the royal exchange after hearing about it through friends. i booked for a colour and cut with a senior stylist. she listened to what i had to say and what i liked and disliked about my hair. the end result was fantastic. the junior assistants who were on hand to help and the other stylists were brilliant. my time in the salon was time well spent, what a lovely experience i shall be there again in six weeks time.- Read hannaha's review (96 words)

I went to the salon on Oxford Road after hearing good reviews about the chain on a whole. What a waste of my time. I wanted a short crop cut, and proceeded to explain to her exactly how I wanted it, but immediately the stylist seemed unhappy about doing that (even though I've had the haircut before and I know it suits my face perfectly), so instead she cut my hair how she wanted and even gave me the glory of a 'side fringe' even though she told me that if I didn't like it we could always change ...- Read Elfi pipkin's review (192 words)

Razor's Edge in Manchester is a very good hairdressers. I've only tried senior stylists though, and they seemed to be a bit more expensive than elsewhere.- Read ghaazaleh's review (26 words)

I hear the salons have been taken over...what a difference, Oxford road salon has been totally refurbished to a high standard and the other salons have been decorated throughout...very nice. Really friendly staff and very helpful. Excellent selection of products (10 ranges). All stylists give a thorough consultation and if your not happy its always resolved amicably. Apparently the Razors Edge motto is the clients number 1....they have to leave the salon happy and me and my friends always do!- Read khrissy's review (81 words)

I have had my hair cut, coloured, highlighted and bleached at Razor's Edge Royal Exchange over a period of 6 or 7 years. I no longer live in Manchester but continue to travel from London whenever I need a hair cut. In addition, I am getting married this year and wouldn't consider going anywhere else!- Read ESBEE's review (99 words)

I have been cut four times by four different people, every time hoping it would get better - but every time I was disappointed. So I will never go to Razors Edge hairdressers in Manchester again. All the four hairdressers have seemed very uninspired, never smiling, and always rushing through it. I had a long argument with one about why I did not want my sides cut with the machine - because I do not want a neat crew cut, but the texture that the scissors give - to her great dissatisfaction, proba ...- Read leonnord's review (181 words)

I had previously bleached my hair and then covered it in a brown colour which had runined the hair and gave me a patchy and odd colour. I thought I was beyond help and couldn't believe the result that this salon gave me, my hair was shiney and had a beautiful multi tonal colour! I was very pleased with the level of care and attention I recieved here and will be back for more!- Read kerr's review (146 words)

I went there for the first time last week. I wanted a really different cut and colour. When I arrived I was sat down and offered a drink straight away, and then I had a lengthy consultation with my stylist, and it was really good, because I got to talk through exactly what I wanted, and the stylist discussed what she thought may suit my face shape.
I got a really great cut from Razon'r Edge in Manchester, and I love my colour! It's really different, and the two colours that the stylist chose ...- Read viking06's review (161 words)

When I went to Razors Edge, in Manchester, for the first time I was sooooo nervous as the previous hairdressers I have been to had ruined my hair and I was really upset. When I walked into Razors Edge all the staff were really friendly, I went in to see if I could book an appointment for that day and I got an appointment straight away. The lady that was going to do my hair brought me over to the mirror, talked over what I wanted and realized straight away what I wanted. Another lady washed my hai ...- Read xomelissaox's review (169 words)

Razor's Edge, Manchester - A lot of top name hair stylists have opened salons in Manchester in recent years, but the service at Razor's Edge is as contemporary and 'cutting edge' as these salons profess to be.
Occasionally a customer can feel intimidated by modern salons, although they are fashionable there is no air of snobbery or aloofness that can often be the case in the modern hairdressing industry.
I have recommended to many of my friends this chain of salons, especially the Exchange Arc ...- Read universallord's review (142 words)
