I've tried so many different hairdressers and never got such an amazing suitable hairstyle ! My friend recommended to get an appointment at VIDAL's in Manchester with this lovely Greek guy called Demitri! He completely restyled my hair to a really nice sharp graduated Bob!My hair looks like a piece of Art after this haircut and don t have to do much with it in the morning! The appointment was booked for 45 mins however Demitri took his time!definitely going back!! (read more)

I am a hairdresser of 25 years and in the past had my hair done at Vidal Sassoon a couple of times ( not a the Newcastle salon ) just as a treat I thought I would visit today , I have what I can only say that I have been butchered I have come home and checked my hair through and I can honestly say my junior of 5 months blind folded could have done better . I wasn't listened to or if I was I wasn't heard what a waste of £70 hope Vidal is spinning if that's what his legacy is left with (read more)

I had a haircut by a Level 5 stylist. I can most certainly say it is one of the worst haircuts i have had. My hair is curly, and it was cut by him in so many different hideous levels , that now my hair just sits flat , with very distict cut off points and levels , style doesnt flow , and of course no curls! Horrible, cant wait for my hair to grow sufficeintly to have a corrective haircut somewhere else. Its a shame that for the price they charge (nearly 100 quid) a level 5 stylist doesnt... (read more)

I've dyed my own hair for years. I tried VS last night and it dried out my hair more then any other dye. I usually find my hair softer after dying. I used the BLACK colour which isn't black its more of a natural black or dark dark brown which is what I wanted. It turned out the same color the box showed but I'll never use it again because it's sooo dry. (read more)

Horrible salon, unprofessional people and they look as thought they are. I was more or less pleased when I was leaving the salon, not over the moon though, but when I got home realized that the color they suggested doesn't suit me and actually is the most terrible color I have ever had, the cut was awful, still had split ends and it's not the best I had, have paid 170 quid for all+ they have fooled me with the prices on products, sticking the higher price above the lowest. I used to go to... (read more)

I have been going to vidal sassoon in manchester city centre for over 20 yrs. I'm sorry to say the past few times i have been it's been a really negative experience. I had different stylist each time and every one of them was in a complete mad rush and showed no interest and one of them was quite condescending to say the least. I wasn't at all happy with my hair afterwards and when its so expensive, one expects much better service. I have observed this salon to be going downhill for a few... (read more)

At a salon with the brand Vidal Sassoon you expect to pay good money for excellent service. If I were Beyonce I would be suing your ASS! Service was only average and I did not get offered any type of refreshment. Water would have been good, an hour later a gin would be preferred. She needed to feel the way the hair moved, touch to see how it fell, now... I LOOK LIKE I HAVE A PENIS GROWING ON MY HEAD! ARGHHHHH!! For what I got the price was extortionate, and I will always pay good... (read more)

i had my hair cut 6 weeks ago by the salon director at Vidal Sassoon in Cardiff. I was charged £85 and she dressed my hair really well. A couple of days later I was still struggling with the style and it just wasn't falling properly. I rang up and they were really apologetic and invited me back in. I had it done again by the salon director (no charge) and again she dressed it so that it looked great when I left. Now it has started to grow again the cracks in the dreadful hair cut are... I decided to make a drastic change and go from long hair to a very short crop and am so glad I chose Vidal Sassoon Cardiff to take the plunge. The stylist was fantastic! I showed her one photo and she worked her magic to give me exactly what I wanted. No fuss, no stress. The colourist then worked his magic and gave me the exact colour effect I had imagined, again with no fuss and without the usual having to tone down the blonde in my hair afterwards (as I usually had to suffer at other... I had an appointment at the Sassoon salon in South Molton St. It was the worst haircut I have ever had. My hair was literally hacked and for the first time in my life I had a fringe, which does not suit my curly hair. The rest of my hair looks awful too. I didn't ask for any of it. She was a senior stylist and I guess I just trusted her. I am gutted - it will take months to grow out. Management have proved to be arrogant and brush off any criticism. Not a good way to treat customers. There... (read more)

Very disappointed. I had been ther a few times over the years and was always satisfied. Unfortunately my last visit left me feeling completely ripped off. The colour was only a semi-permenant in my natural colour but must have cost about £70 and the style was shocking - long bits hanging down at the front which did absolutly nothing for my face. It was so yuk I tied it back asap. In total I paid £130 for something I could have created myself using a home dye and a pair of scissors -... (read more)

I go here regularly and although I do find it pricey (especially if I am having a colour as well as a cut) I think it is worth it. I need to look smart and professional for my work, and the stylists always listen to me, advise me, and give me what I need. They've also given me advice on how to look after the style which is really helpful too.
I have, on occasion, decided to go somewhere cheaper, but I've regretted it. Once you find a stylist you trust, stick with them is my advice. (read more)

I've been going to Vidal Sassoon in Cardiff for almost 2 years. I'd moved to Cardiff from England and was recommended them by a work colleague with a great hair-cut.
I've had my hair cut by 2 of the staff and have been very impressed with both - I switched to the 2nd after the original girl was promoted out of my price range (I can't justify £60 for a cut, but £40 is affordable).
Some of the reception staff can present as snooty, but the stylists have always been lovely and friendly.
They... (read more)

I don't usually review things, but had such a crap experience I felt I had to warn people! I've given it a 1 based on the fact that my hair didn't fall out or anything too drastic. Just don't bother wasting your hard earned money.
Went to Vidal Sassoon for a birthday treat, cut and colour. Was really disappointed and thought it was very bad value for money. Considering it cost £160 (I consider that quite alot of money to spend on hair and I really wish I hadn't bothered), I honestly did... (read more)

I went to Vidal Sassoon because I saw someones hair and I just loved the way it was cut. She went to Barbara and has been her client for years. She spoke with me and gave me a lot of good advice about my hair and how it should be cut. (read more)

Vidal Sassoon - Very good client service, lovely hairwash with great-smelling shampoo. Unfortunately, I don't think my stylist spoke very good English and when she did speak, it was to a colleague in another language. Her next client arrived half-way through my cut and it was then rushed and unfinished. I now have to go to another salon to get it cut again.
Probably would not recommend it unless you pay for Level 3 or above. I had a level one stylist at £45. (read more)
