“Toni&Guy Golders Green Disappoints every time”

I have been going back to the Golders Green Tony&Guy franchise for years and gradually I've witnessed it going worse and worse in terms of stylist' quality. Last year I had my hair ruined by the 'experienced senior stylist' who decided not to use scissors but a razor on my long hair. I was charged over £80 to get the terrible look that took over a year to recover. I promised myself to never go back again. However, I did, this time for a colour. “Nanokeratin Treatment at Uxbridge”

Had nanokeratin treatment done by Ben. This treatment is supposed to remove frizziness for 3 months. Paid £150 + bought their shampoo/conditioner worth another £30. Hair was to be left unwashed for 4 days, and then on the first wash I was supposed to see the difference. My hair was EXACTLY the same, treatment had NO effect at all. I complained, was seen after 4 weeks, and was only told that as my hair is different from most customers, i might have to go through the treatment 2-3 times... (read more)

I was made to feel a lot more at ease than I was expecting, and I finally found somewhere the hair dressers had enough training/experience and confidence to know what I needed, when I didn't. It's just a shame it's so expensive. (read more)

One thing almost worse than paying ALOT for a bad hair cut is paying ALOT for a haircut you specifically said you didnt want. Marie cut my hair a few days ago and dispite the fact that I said twice that I was growing my hair long and that I didnt like my current fringe... she cut the frings so it was prety much the same AND cut my hair SOOO short... a hairdresser that DOESNT LISTEN is a terrible hairdresser that should not be charging what I paid for my cut. “Worst haircut ever!!”

Three days ago I had my hair cut by the style director at the Enfield branch.i paid the top price because I wanted the best haircut but what I got instead is something out of a horror book.My teenage son could not believe me when I told him I had it done by a supposedly top professional he said it looks really awful and I should cover my hair until it grows.Ironically I have really nice healthy hair naturally which I can wear curled or straight and so it's a real waste of money and quality... My hair had always been very fine, dull and almost lifeless until i came to toni and guy. I went from chest long brown hair to very short mid length jet black hair. It looks amazing, healthy, shiny and thicker too! The girl really knew what she was doing and what would suit me. The colour really compliments my dark features and skin tone. “Shockingly bad!!”

I first went to Toni and guy in Stratford Westfield for a curly blowdry and an experienced male stylist did my hair it was absolutely disgusting I left with a haystack dry damaged rotting curls shame I had to go to my bday party as I wanted to run home and wash it out . I visited toni and guy for the 1st time. The stylist came over and I had a quick consult, told him wanted I wanted, asked him about a fringe. Told me I need a hair mask as my hair was damaged. I was then left with someone to wash my hair, this part was ok. The stylist then proceeded to put products on my hair which were meant to help. “The worst experience ever!!!!”

I've recently visited Newcastle branch for cut and highlighting, and it was the worst experience in my life! First of all, the salon is dirty and messed, they don't remove hair from the floor, but simply shift them to the corners, so dust and hair are everywhere: walls, seats, equipment, even mirrors! “1/2 hr cut”

My appointment was at 11:00 o'clock, my hairstylist shampoo, conditioned, rinsed, cut and blow dried my in half an hour. By the way, she cut 3 inches off. Needless to say, I walked out with damp hair. Paid $55.00... I will never return. (read more)

Approaching my 40th I decided I needed a positive change and booked an appointment at the "Eastbourne" branch of "Toni and Guy". I phoned and was lucky to get a same day cancellation appointment.I had an idea of what I wanted and was given advice and other options of which I followed.I was given attention through out with refreshments and magazines.Every member of staff I saw from start to finish was polite and helpful. On a recent visit to the Cambridge branch of this supposed 'state of the art' salon I was immensely disappointed. At other salons (not Toni and Guy) it has always been a relaxing, enjoyable experience visiting the hairdressers however this experience was nothing short of awkward, stressful and definitely not worth the money. I was so nervous before making my appointment. I've only recently moved to London and had been going to my regular salon (not Toni&Guy) for years. I called to make an appointment and I was already put at ease. “Awful.”

I had an appointment, I was on time. I was kept waiting for 15 minutes while being given snotty looks by the staff. One hairdresser was playing with a hairdryer and mucking about, another was having fun with her boyfriend. Not once did someone ask me if I was ok, or that my hairdresser would be with me soon. I walked out. Also, the full volume lady gaga music really didn't add to the experience. Rude, judgmental and the staff really couldn't care less. (read more)

After reading these reviews I was fairly put off trying Toni & Guy in Sheffield but thought I would ring them up to check prices anyway. The woman who answered was rude and as soon as she told me the prices said bye and hung up without checking whether I needed anything else and would like to book! I have only had hair cuts done by the style director and the Art director at this place and they have both failed me. It is not a case of me "not liking the style" rather the two side of my hair look different, and it is not difficult to spot it either, on top of that he ignored what I asked for, and cut my hair way shorter than I told him to. If you care about your hair, and want somewhere good don't bother with this one, it is one of the worse Tony and guy I have ever been to! (read more)

As soon as i arrived they fitted me in straight away and were so polite, i was offered different treatments and a drink, they also asked if everything was to my satisfaction, the staff were polite and made conversation, the lady who washed my hair was wonderful and the man cutting my hair catered for my every need, overall this was a 5 star fantastic experience. Went to T&G in Covent Garden for a wash and cut and was abused by the hairdresser because hair on the right side of my head was slightly longer than the left. And when she interrogated me as to when my last haircut was and I replied 4 months, she shrieked so loudly her colleagues and other customers turned to stare at us. “Incorrect Pricing”

Been to Tony and Guys in Leeds as usual and was charged £5 more than usual. As it was my 6th visit my loyalty card stated I would get a free shampoo. I asked for this and this was scanned through the till then I was told the price was £45. I also made my next appointment and that gives me a 10% discount. After checking the price list the charge for a cut and blow is £40. The hairdresser I have has only just qualified 10% should have been charged £36. Asked if I had been charged... (read more)

Right! where do i begin?? I was really really looking forward to getting my aircut at T&G preston for the first time... Well i thought its expensive right so the guys there must be really good??? i visit toni and guy twice a year theLondon, Twickenham branch in the UK.The 2 sisters Terry and Eun are wizards at their work and i have not seen myone so hard working and consciience. they give undivided attention to all their customersand always with a smle. i have yet to see a single client go unhappy or unsatisied. “Horrible Customer Service”

Horrible service. I scheduled an appointment for my Wedding day, and called several times in advance to confirm that my appointment was still good. Showed up on my big day and Callie (my stylist) NEVER showed up!!. No one called me to apologized either. I've sent 2 negative correspondences to the company and still haven't heard anything. 1 out of 5 is too high! The Reading branch is worse than terrible. I am 42 and have tried various hairdressers since moving house 2 years ago. I've always been a fan of T&G and used to always go to their excellent Aylesbury salon. I wanted a restyle this time, to chop my long hair into a long bob, so decided to give the Reading branch a try. I went to Toni and Guy as I was after a funky new colouring technique called dip dying(before it became popular) so thought that this was definately the right place to go. it was a Saturday morning when I arrived and it was extreemly busy! I've recently had my hair cut short and love it but sadly my normal hairdresser moved away so I needed to find somewhere new. This was the forth time I used Toni and Guy in Camberley, Surrey. The second time it was cut I really liked it and took pics, third time not very good, forth time I showed the same stylist the pics with some explanations to remind her. OMG my hair is now a short, uneven cut. It is disgusting. I am embarrassed to go out. Never again with Toni and Guy. I used their salon in Berkeley Square, London and had a terrible hair cut. OMG, they are so overrated!!! I went there to get a bob haircut from having a very long hair. I already had a printed copy of a haircut that I wanted and I asked to get an advice form the stylist director before proceeding.I asked him if he thinks that this haircut would suit my face shape and he was mooing something for 10 minutes moving my hair at the same time and in the end he couldn't tell if my face is round or oval or square or anything...he was just mooing and playing with my hair... “Do not go there”

Went to Melbourne central. Poor service, stylist didn't look at my hair until it had been washed and colored.explained I had a lot of hair that required thinning out. Stylist decided to layer my hair underneath and basically hacked huge wedges of hair away. I was horrified and didn't return. The next hairdresser I visited was intrigued by my haircut. When I explained what had happened she said she would sue any person that did that to her hair. Donor let Dougie cut your hair he is terrible. (read more)

“Decent advice but a very average haircut”

I had a haircut with the artistic director which cost me £66. Don't think I will ever come back again. I could tell he couldn't have been less interested in my hair. He was very quick, which is actually a plus in my books, but it felt like he wasn't precise. He also gave me the worst hair wash I've ever had, it was really painful and the towel was covered in my hair. I booked my appointment with Tony and Guy in Harrow about ¾ weeks ago. I called them a day before to confirm and ever thing was great. I walked into the store 10 minutes early and was told by staff that I don’t have appointment and I had to wait 20 minutes to have a haircut. Took my son to have his hair cut at Toni & Guy Bolton today. A friend recommended we go on the half price kids days. Although still more than previous hairdressers he has been to, it's the best cut he's had in 10 years. He actually wants to have his hair cut there every time. Karli was very good, made him feel at ease and gave good advice on style of cut. (read more)

“MY HAIR IS IN TWO COLOURS!”

D0N'T DYE YOUR HAIR AT THIS SALON! You would do a better job dying your hair at home rather than by these people. I had black hair and wanted to go dark brown, the stylist blew me off and wouldn't discuss details with me as a result my roots are now light brown and the rest of my hair is black!It isn't blended together at all I have just an abrupt line through my hair where the colour changes! Went to Toni and Guy as a special treat before a wedding to save myself time.Thought how hard would it be to get my short blonde hair simply blowdryed and messed up with some wax..how wrong could I be?! I asked the manager not to cut my hair short but this is exactly what he did. I even pointed out in a picture the sytle i liked which was a man with medium to long hair. He also told me about a cutomer who complained which i thought this was very unprofessional. All in all very expensive for a barber type haircut, i wont be going back. (read more)

Melbourne Central..I booked for 3.30pm when i called but i received a reminder on the day which stated my booking was at 3.15pm, ok i thought i can make it... turns out i was running late as it takes me 1hr to get into the city so i called them to let them know i will be 15min late, lady says thats fine. i arrive 16min late and lady says "sorry i can't cut your hair because we have a 15min cancelation policy"!!!! This salon ruined my hair. They gave me brown hair from previously blonde hair, when i asked for golden blonde! i'm not sure how this was even possible. All the technician had to do was give me highlights instead she gave me a full head tint with no colour strand test. They charged me even thought i was crying my eyes out at the till. I went into the salon purely for a trim, I specified this several times. I went in purely for a trip because I trusted that these 'professionals' would be able to cope with this. I literally only wanted around half an inch off to get rid of split ends.
