I REALLY agree with Kogorrahs review. I have very fine hair, and at T&G they just took all the weight out, cut the layers so short they just fell forward, and I ended up with the old "feather cut" of the 70's with long straggles at the sides!
They charge a fortune, and most haven't a clue how to cut or colour hair
at my local branch anyway. When I had it coloured, it turned out almost black! I now go to a brilliant AND cheap hair salon where I had a dry cutfor £12 , which was CUT WITH GREAT PRECISION AND NOT LONG STRAGGLES AND SHORT LAYERS , AND I had a combination of 2 colours which complement my colouring brilliantly and cost just £32! I would never go to Toni& Guy again.

That's it Ive given up on toni and guy for good now. Don't go there if you want a decent cut or colour and to be treated with respect. I'd give no stars but it won't let me.

I think Toni and Guy once enjoyed a good reputation and as such has grown lazy, trying to rest on its name alone. I have noticed Australian stores have brought me no joy on the hair front - I went to have my hair dyed "slightly darker" and the girl first put the dark colour on my roots "for twenty minutes". She waltzed away and did someone else's hair, leaving the dye in my hair for 45 minutes, and then added the rest of the mixture. The result? Black roots and medium-brown hair for the rest. Th ...

You pay £47 for a student hairdresser (i assume student as they seemed incapable of cutting a simple graduate bob). I had to point out that the hair was longer on one side of my head and that the back had not been cut evenly. He didn't seem to want to show me my hair in the mirror, presumably because he was embarrassed by the hash he had made of it.

I have had several different stylists at the Toni & Guy, Bluewater branch and the only one who was any good has left. I will never return to ...

    I went to toni&guys on sat 5.6.09
I had never been before, the hairdresser ask aboout my colour, I said due that it was winter I would like to go lighter. Yep I came out darker. I paid $215.00 and all I got was a colour and some kind of hair treatmen.
NO trim NO styling left with my hair just dried and the wrong colour.

Ive been going to toni and guy for years because I found it hard to find another salon that didn't totally butcher my hair. I never quite came out with the cut I wanted as it was always too short, but it would usually last for about three months and when it grew out a bit it was quite nice. I started going to the Harrow branch years ago, but stopped going there when the hairdresser and colourist I liked left and the rest of the staff seemed very amateur. There was one member of staff in parti ...

Toni & Guy hairdressers all train the same way. Slice razor slice razor slice razor slice (until your hair is half the thickness it was when you came in). They don't know any other way to do it. AWFUL. The service is TERRIBLE. And I don't understand why they think all haircuts need to look so choppy at the ends. This is NOT the style in 2009 unless you are in a band maybe. Pick up a fashion mag. Have you seen any celebrity sporting a T&G sylist-type cut? I don't think so.

Had my hair cut this morning at Toni and Guy. The stylist had been recommended. I'd had a disaterous haircut at another branch previously and was a bit nervous, as it had taken me a few months to grow out. I told her that I did NOT want it straightened and especially not straightened and then cut again. Straightening is a time effective but lazy way of finishing and disguises poor cutting. I wanted to see what I was getting. My hair is naturally wavy and I hate it plastered down with straightene ...

Have been to the Toni & Guy academy 4 or 5 times now and never ever had a bad haircut, including the time I was cut by a very young student. The teachers come and check every step of the way, which means it takes on average 3 hours to get a haircut done, but it also means there is no screwing up.
The first time I went I was asked if I would agree to a Toni and Guy classic "The Lena", or a variation thereof. I agreed and it looked lovely and really suited me and I have had my hair in this cut fo ...

My stylist is fantastic, she is a senior stylist and worth every penny, I trust her to get on with it. I have curly hair and if you find a hairdresser who knows what to do with it they are worth their weight in gold. Toni and Guy really know how to thin hair out, my daughter has a different stylist who does it equally well.
It is quite expensive, but if you can find a hairdresser you trust it's well worth it.

I normally get my hair done in a local salon and have never been really happy with my colour. so for my birthday my boyfriend brought me vouchers for toni and guy which i used at the sutton coldfield branch. A stylist brought me over and started talking to me about what i like and dislike about my hair she was very confident and called about what she would like to do so i trusted her. It was the first time i have ever walked out of a salon very happy. I have now been going to the same stylist fo ...

I went to Toni and Guy Staines for the first time and loved every minute of my experience. All the staff were friendly from the receptionist, the girl that washed my hair and the stylist. The haircut i received from the stylist was excellent and would definitely go back to Toni and Guy Staines. I thought the experience i received was well worth the money spent.

So Valentines day this year me and my boyfriend had taken the day off work to spend together. We were off to do a bit of shopping first and then out for a nice romantic meal that night. I hadn't kicked any kittens or robbed any old people so I didn't see this unexpected bout of karma heading my way!

When walking past the Toni and Guy training academy I was stopped by some girl asking if I wanted a free hair cut. Well I was a bit nervous and asked if it would be a student and she told me no, ...

The prices at Toni and Guy were very keen for what I can only describe as a luxurious place, for highlights and a cut with the most senior people was £120 I have paid that before in a local salon.I am looking forward to going back.

I visited the Northampton Toni and Guy salon after months of plucking up the courage to break away from my usual hairdresser and going for something different. I was very excited about the 'new me - hairstyle' and went into the salon with a totally open mind to new styles suggested to me! - Now I feel I should have saved my money! I ended up with a 'trim' and my colour was a top up on the one I went in with. I was really disappointed, I thought I was a hairdressers dream - asking for something ...

I went to Tony and Guy Oxford on Saturday and had my usual hairdresser. i am growing my hair out from an old style into long hair. However on this visit for a trim - I feel as though the hairdresser has scalped me - leaving me with thin razored ends and a style which is shorter than when i first had my hair cut short - I feel so awful, i can only hide my hair under a hat - i feel physically sick and everyone who sees it, says the hairdresser made a mistake. Well, I feel very depressed, i went ...

This is the second time using Toni and Guy and first time used a trainee and started off with long hair but after several failed attempts to get a style I ended up with a boys haircut and it has taken 5 years for it to grow to shoulder length.
They give the impression that they're the best but in my experience it really is a hit or miss risk you play when using these guys.

I went to toni and guy as I presumed that as it was abit more pricey it was a better quality of service with more highly trained hairdressers. I have never left a hair dressers happy before so I was hoping this time would be different. When I went in it seemed like a nice place, quite energetic environment and it seemed really clean and friendly. I didn't have to wait too long before I was taken through to have my hair washed and conditioned and then seated infront of one of the stylists. I show ...
