“A Bit of a let down”

Written on: 25/07/2017

Sorry but a bit disappointing although i was not expecting the Sea Life Center type of experience it was very small and dated, and to be frank was only about 45 mins to look around. … Read Full Review

My boyfriend and I were holidaying in north wales and, being Britain, found a few days of poor weather to try and do something with. we both recalled a sea life centre from when we were kids and thought it would be fun to wander round.

it cost £7.50 each to enter and we struggled to get more than half an hour out of it, so wandered through for a second time learning nothing more from the four rooms. the tanks are very small - particularly for the conga eels which look like they hardly have… Read Full Review

We found this centre quite small. It wasnt always easy for us to get the wheelchair around and we had to ask the girl taking the money for a disabled reduced rate even though my husband was clearly in a wheelchair.
The conservation and reserch work is very good, but the displays looked a little tired.
We had no kids with us but there seemed enough to keep them happy.
Floors were wet and narrow and uneven making wheelchair and pushchair use hazardous.
We were the only visitors there at that… Read Full Review

I thought Anglesey Sea Zoo looked pretty shoddy from the outside, but it was pouring down (being this August bank holiday) so my girlfriend and I had a look. We weren't disappointed. I think the actual tanks and information were probably more suited to adults, especially if you were either into conservation or were a fish-fanatic, but there seemed to be things for kids to do too (especially outside the centre with bouncy castles and remote-controlled boats). I liked the shark pool where you… Read Full Review

The entrance fee is high for what you get at the Anglesey Sea Zoo. If the weather is find there are quite a few attractions for children to play on, mainly for the younger children like the bouncy castle, spring type single rides, and slide. For the older children there is a obstical course, or spend more money to play crazy golf or £1 to pressure hose pirates… Read Full Review

I visited here in Summer and thought it was odd. It was clean, not shoddy at all and all the fish tanks were well sized. The feed was brilliant and there was loads of hands on stuff for kids. The invertebrate and shipwreck zones were the best, the invertebrate zone included octopuses and the wreck with conger eels.
Tanks 9/10.
Lay out 9/10.
value 7/10.
Variety of fish 10/10.
Parking 6.5/10.
Amount of fish 7.5/10… Read Full Review

I found Anglesey Sea zoo a good place to have a wander around for a couple of hours, while it rained outside. On my visit it was empty and my boyfriend and I were possibly the only ones there. I personally would have liked to have know more about the displays, and it seems most of the imformation boards where aimed at children. There where some amazing tanks with intresting designs, but even they can only hold your attention for so long. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours... but be… Read Full Review

Written on: 01/11/2004 by alireview (1 review written)

Anglesey Sea Zoo is a small scale sea world, very shoddy and tired. Not an awful lot to see, maybe would suit a toddler. The cafe was dreadful, dirty, very small portions. We ordered meatballs and spaghetti, with the tomato sauce, when it eventually turned up it was with sweet and sour sauce, when we complained was told, oh we ran out. I noticed friends of staff, going behind counter to help themselves to drinks. Hygiene issues!! Felt totally ripped off… Read Full Review
