Good Points: Excellent graphics Good voice acting
Bad Points: Very linear Quite dark, so sometimes hard to see what to do
General comments: Batman Vengeance is another licensed game based in the world of the Caped crusader Batman and his horde of foes such as the Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, etc.
This particular game started life on the PS2 before becoming multi-format but we'll not hold that against it.
Graphically this game, although very dark, is an accurate portrayal of the Bat-world, with the action coming fast and furious from the off, and with fairly easy to use controls what you have here is a playable Bat-lore filled romp which is definitely worth a couple of days rental at least.
The sound in the game is also suitably haunting and sets the tone for each level appropriately, coupled with the excellent voice casting of Kevin Conroy as Batman himself and Mark "Luke Sywalker" Hamill as The Joker, as well as other well known voices and characters from the Batman series.
As mentioned gameplaywise, if you can put up with the game's linearity and heavy Bat-lore, you have an enjoyable romp through various genres including fighting, puzzle solving and even a bit of flight sim type action in later levels.
It does help to be at least a BIT of a Batman fan though to be able to follow the storyline of the game, so non Bat fans might pass this over in favour of a less story driven affair.
Overall, a good game here then, just not without its share of small problems and annoyances.
