    Bad Points: Whole experience


    General comments: This hotel has been recently refurbished- unfortunately it must have all been spent on the reception area: not much seems to have been spend elsewhere. The bedroom was very basic with dated furniture, a TV that did not work and the balcony was not straight. The Bathroom wasnt much better and had graffitti on the wall that was dated from 2004! The view was of the pool which was unexciting, and more than once we say loud and disruptive guests there. The noise from the pool sometimes went on till 2AM every morning, and I never saw any member of staff at the hotel do anything to stop it.
    After our 2nd night at this hotel we asked to move rooms as the surrounding rooms were having parties which kept us awake. Some helpful staff moved us to another room in another building that didnt overlook the pool, but warned us it hadnt been cleaned yet but would get done later in the day. So, at 8AM we moved to this room and left for the day. When we returned (10 hours later) it didn't appear to have been cleaned thoroughly enough
    So we got moved again, to a room that was cleaner but overlooked another part of the hotel, with a courtyard! We closed the curtains and got some sleep, looking forward to our flight home the next day.
    The location of the hotel is great as it is central in Lloret and not far from the beach. The only problem is your transfer will drop you off a few streets away which can be quite intimadating if you do not know were you are going; especially at night.
    We saw many young, rowdy guests. Maybe this hotel is more suited to them.
    Lloret itself is a bit nicer, and the beach is very clean. Think Blackpool and your almost there (apart from the beach)
    I have scored this hotel as a 1, as 0 is not an option so lets say the one is purely for its location!

    Nuevo Vallarta, Grand and Club Marival - We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Rooms very clean and lots of space. They advertise a TV but you have to pay 20 euros for a remote control. Pool nice and clean but you are so close to each other on the sunbeds, you cannot move them apart as there chained together. A lot of different nationalities. Danish/Germans/Scottish/English.     The Hotel Cleopatra was clean, had a pool area with water feature, and the full board status saved you having to walk to the front(half a mile) for a meal, the hotel was noisy with young ones throwing things from balconies at night, the staff turned a blind eye, the hotel was too far from the beach area for children, I had three children with me (the eldest was 7) and there was nothing to entertain children under the age of eight ,the mealtimes were a bit restrictive, and the food seemed to favo ...
