My son who has been out of a work since September went to Adecco and filled out the application forms, they gave him an interview and later on called him to tell him that they had a job for him. It was only for 8 weeks and if they liked him they would consider keeping him on as permanent. Adecco told him that they would contact him with all the details.
He had another offer of work but turned it down as this was in his field , Media.for the details.
Being Bank holiday on Monday, he waited until Tuesday and called Adecco asking for the details. He was then told that the company did not want to deal with Adecco as they had let them down to often as far as I am concerned. My son told the Girl that he was upset as he had no job, and in my opinion the person on the phone was cheeky and unhelpful.
I do not recommend Adecco.co.uk

I can't find how to apply for a job I want to apply for. The Adecco website is not very clear I don't think.

Over the last two mouths I have applied to them four times for different positions, and despite being given all the information and a phone number and contact name, not one person has contacted me. I have rung Adecco online up a few times to find whether their website actually works, and that they are getting my applications, but I am always told that the person I need is out of the office and will ring me back. Adecco seem to have no interest in finding jobs for 'normal' people. My friend's daughter has been registered with them for months, but she has no contact, unless she phones them first, and the one interview they did get her, she was told she didn't get the job, but had no feedback. She also enquired about a local job, only to be told this particular company doesn't take on ex-employees (as she is). Her mother later found out this was completely untrue!

I often used to use the Adecco employment agency because they had quick easy to fill jobs in my home town. If you can steel yourself to get through all their obsessive paperwork and very irritating "personality" test, you will find them useful for quick fill in jobs while you are hunting for your perfect permanent job. I have used the Redditch, UK branch of Adecco for several years when I have been looking for temporary work, and after registering with numerous other agencies Adecco are the only one that has actively helped me to find employment.

Having registered with many agencies, I found the Adecco Staff Agency in Hammersmith to be extremely helpful. They had more than one group of people in there, and being in my mid 30's I was concerned that I would meet a group of young girls who didn't really care about someone who wasn't a young thing. I was wrong. Thanks to the ladies and gentlemen at Adecco Hammersmith, I was placed into a highly suitable temporary booking, and I find the after care service the best I have encountered.

I would just like to say that I went into my local Adecco agency today as I am looking to change my job, and was confronted by a young girl in her middle 20's, I asked her what vacancies she might have for me as I am an older woman. Applied online many times with no response or contact. Went into Bournemouth branch and the consultant said we don't usually take much notice of online CV's, they tend to get lost!! Had very short discussion about role I wanted girl said she'll pass my C.V. onto relevant consultant - have heard nothing since. Was contacted by Adecco regarding retail management vacancies. Arranged to go and see them for an interview. Discussed all my requirements and history and detail. Left feeling they had a true understanding of my needs and history.
Within two weeks I had been called about three different roles and had two different interviews lined up. Was successful in finding a placement through them.
