Went and got this test as I had some things that made me think I was pregnant (would be our 2nd). Took the test was negative. Then went and checked 15-20 mins later as you can view it up to 30mins later as per the box and it was a positive. Got so excited told hubby and all. Bought a confirm test and it came back negative. Anyone else here gotten many false faint positives with the early Predictor pregancy test? everytime I have done one, there is always some sort of line there, even when I am not pregnant. They should take the advice in the leaflet that anyline, no matter how faint is a positive away. (read more)

DO NOT take this test if you're into double-checking the test window. I've bought more than 10 Predictor tests and I was never sure how to read the results. While the test window showed no coloured line (that is, a negative) I was almost always able to see a faint grey/ghost line on the test window. “Rubbish”

It doesn't work. I used Predictor Early Pregnancy after a BFP test and I had a NEGATIVE! Then, after about 6 hours, I saw a very faint faint line, before grey and then light pink...the test became positive. INCREDIBLE! I decided to buy another one, less sensible (25 ui/l instead of predicotr 12,5 ui/l ) and it was positive in about 40 seconds. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH PREDICTOR! (read more)

I have copied the email I have just sent to Predictor as it contains all the information you need to know. I will not be buying this product again!!!!! Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I received a false positive using your brand of pregnancy tests. It was a very clear, very pink, very strong positive that was followed by (in the morning) several very stark negatives using your brand and other brands. I've had five false positives with this test and I was really convinced each day I done the test the line was cumin up darker, so I went to the hospital and had a blood test to confirm the result was negative, I'm absolutely apauled by this who ever said join forces and sue the company I'm allll in (read more)

The Predictor tests are useless, I had 3 false positives and really thought I was pregnant. I too was convinced that i had miscarried early but after reading other reviews now think i haven't. I have read alot about evap lines but all the results were pink. I will never use Predictor again. (read more)

After having a testing positive with PREDICTOR I decided to go to the hospital to double check and it was negative. I waited a week and bought 2 tests, another PREDICTOR and some other brand. PREDICTOR was positive yet again and the other brand negative. I went to the doctor and confirmed the negative. It is extremely rare to have false positives but it seems that it occurs too often with this brand. We should all join frces and sue this fraudulent company!! (read more)

i use the predictor at 13dpo and got a strong yes the lines started off faint but then got darker i did four test and they all said i was pregnant now i am 6 weeks pregnant i just love the predictor pregnancy test it is clear and easy to read i wouldnt say it was fast but i would recommend it to friends and family and you can use it any time of the day. The only thing i didnt like about it was the waiting but i really do not have a bad thing to say about it (read more)

I was 5 days late when i did my first predictor test. it was negative, i was very disappointed as i really felt pregnant. i waited a few more (days day 8) and did another one, this too was negative, again i was very disappointed. when i came back from work later that day (9hours) the 2nd test had a faint pink line. but every review/instructions said once its past the 5 minutes the result doesn't count. 2 days later i did a clear blue pregnancy test and it came up within minutes maybe... I used this test just before flying to Tenerife (the evening before) and got a V Faint positive. My partner an I knew we were flying the following day, had no other tests in the house and decided to go about our holiday and see what happened when we returned. 2 days into the holiday my period arrived. DO NOT BUY THESE TESTS!!! myself and my husband are trying for baby no. 3, and having been pregs twice before I thought I felt a little 'pregnant' (bit sicky, tired, bloated etc) so bought a 2 pack of these tests and did one 5 days before my period was due. Hi everyone i did a predictor test last week. This i should add will be my third baby. I did this test with both my others and must admit had no problems. But after doing this test i got a negative result, for some reason i had a feeling and decided to put it to one side and look at it again later. its totally waste of money...i bought 2 test and used on 12dpo and 13dpo but it gave me negative results both times...i bought first response same day and used on 13dpo and it gave me positive result in few seconds...so i wont recommend it all. (read more)

I've been on birth control for quite a while, and since the last year or so, the intensity of my period started diminishing up until the point I got no period at all anymore during my last stop week. Unlike all the other reviewers I do not want a child right now. My period is 4 days late so I did a test with predictor and it showed a very faint positive line. I did this test on my birthday - cried my eyes out at the thought I was pregnant, told my mum and this guy i was seeing very casually who would be the father. i brought a twin pack predictor preg test and took both test which appeared positive i went to my local gp with the test who look at the test and confirm i was preg but refused to do a repeat she said cause the line where faint i was in my early stages like 4 weeks preg she sent me for a ultra sound to confirm dates went for ultra sond find no sac brought another preg test different brand comes back neg i see my doc again in a week time another ultra sound in 3 im not sure if i trust predictor (read more)

I am in the same boat. I tested with the Preditor four days after having a positive pregnancy test with first response and got a negative on the predictor. First response was my hcg levels were not high enough to register on the predictor. I tested again with the second predictor seven days after my initial test with the predictor and again a negative. I used the last of my first response and whammy a big dark positive appeared in no time.
I gave them a three star for value for money,...

I wouldn't trust this pregnancy test, in common with other reviewers I got a false negative with this product. Of course this caused me undue distress as in fact I was pregnant as had been confirmed by previous tests and blood test at the hospital.
To the previous reviewer - don't lose hope. Try a First Response test.

I have been trying for 3yrs. Recently have had some cramping. I have PCOS and irregular periods so no idea of ovulation or cycle length. I needed to rule out pregnancy before my next fertility cycle so bought the predictor twin pack. First test came back with a very very faint positive then about 3hrs later tried again and got a BFN - so upset and confused and now wondering if I could be pregnant. Almost cant stand it anymore. Waste of money.
Had 2 faint lines on cheap supermarket brand tests. Went to buy more to double check and bought predictor tests and also a pack of clearblue tests.
Tried a predictor test and came back negative. Thought then I wasnt pregnant. Stashed the clearblues away for another time. Waited and no period. Tested 2 weeks later with clear blue and confirmed I was pregnant. After being dated, I was 7 weeks along. For a laugh I tried the other predictor test and still...

I bought Predictor because the twin pack was on offer and considerably cheaper than the alternatives on offer in the supermarket. I had two consecutive negative results, on days 3 & 4 late, but was sure i was pregnant as my period is never even a day late. A cheaper supermaket own brand has now come through positive.
Very disappoint in Predictor as is says it should detect 'early pregnancy' on the first day of the missed period but curiously it doesn't state what level of hGC is should detect.

I had the same experience as the other two reviewers - I did a Boots test which showed a faint positive result, then a Predictor pregnancy test, which showed no second dot, so I assumed I wasn't pregnant and had a couple of glasses of wine. When my period didn't come I did 2 Clear Blue tests, both of which were clearly positive. I agree that Predictor doesn't seem to come up to standard with the other tests I used. (read more)

Suspecting I was pregnant I did a test using a Sainsburys own test on the day my period was due which gave a very faint positive result. I wanted to double check so the following day I bought a 2 pack of Predictors both of which showed negative. Still fairly convinced I was pregnant I bought a Clearblue which immediately showed positive. Verdict - don't waste your money! (read more)

I tested to see if I was pregnant with a predictor test the day my period was due. There was no second little dot at all, and after 4 years trying, I was fed up. I sat on the sofa crying most of the afternoon, and then arranged my next cycle with my fertility Doctor.
Still no period the next day, so I tried again with a different brand, and 2 very very dark clear lines appeared! A blood test that day revealed a HCG level of 310, and still BFN with Predictor!

Clearblue tests are very good. I've used the Clearblue ovulation test kit, and it was very good. But to use that, firstly you need to work out your cycle length, and the instructions also tell you when to start testing.
