I am very disappointed as I feel any appliance should last over 5 years. I also did not expect to have this much trouble getting it repaired. First of all it started leaking when it was filling up - a repair man came out but could find nothing wrong with it. It went 0k for a week or two then started leaking again. Repair man took it away to his workshop for 2 weeks but it worked perfectly. Now it has gone wrong again but this time it fills up (doesn't leak) but then immediately drains... (read more)

4 years ago, I bought a Bosch dishwasher. It was very happy with it. Last Christmas, it wouldn't wash properly and after many trips from the repair man, it was deemed in need of a water softener. I persisted with the repairmen and made them stay and see the end result and it turned out that the initial replacement... (read more)

Hi, I DO NOT work for Bosch, but do repair them. A very big problem with all dishwashers is the amount of detergent some pepole use. In soft water areas only a 1/4 to 1/2 of a tablet or 1 teaspoon of powder is required to do a first class wash. Over use of dishwashing detergent eventually causes the machine to virtually give up as the machine can only register suds in it's workings rather than water. A way to de-sud a machine is to pour into the machine a pint of full cream milk halfway through a cycle, a fast/eco wash will do, obviously without any cutlery in the machine. No matter what some other people say on this site, most dishwashers ARE a very complex machine, still I hope this info may help you...
