Bad Points: After the beating, it tends to have a mind of its own, but it still is very... intact. beware after a beating.

General comments: The SMK Westlake is a good gun

Excellent robust pistol, bought second hand from a friend, its been blank fired, set on fire, dunked in anti-freeze, mud shot out of it, dropped of a shed, and yet it still seems to work like first time I used it.

The SMK Westlake XHS3 is well worth the price. In general it is a good pistol for shooting vermin and I like it. It would be good with targets for BBs as well.

It is definitely worth it for the money, however if you can afford it, it may be worth putting in a little more money on something better. If you are looking for just target practice, a rifle is far more accurate, powerful, and satisfying to shoot and some are just as cheap as this.

This SMK Westlake XHS3.22 was the first air pistol I bought and it is very powerful but not that accurate. The more I used it, the more inaccurate it got. After a while, the power started to drop too. I could knock over plastic bottles from a range of about 7 metres at first, but after a while, I seemed it couldn't even do that. I would personally save up and buy a decent one rather than this.

My 1st air pistol, so I haven't got much experience of anything else to compare the SMK Westlake to. I have used a friends CO2 gun a bit, the S3 isn't as good at range, but is similar over sort ranges. I've been using my rifle pellets (Jaw pointed pellets) but they're not very good - round headed pellets are, in my opinion, better - more damaging, and more accurate. The S3 drops fairly quickly, but I'd say it's fairly accurate up to about 30 mtrs? Great value for money, as you don't need to keep ...

Used friends SMK Westlake XHS3.22 this weekend. We were using it in the woods, for a bit of target practise. The .22 at 10yards is accurate we were hitting cans and tins easily every time. This .22 pistol within 10yards has reasonable power but after the trajectory is too looped and slow. This is why you can probably only use it for pest control within 10yards. Also would only use it on starlings and mice within that distance. Built better than the smk s2 pistols which I had and recommende ...

When I first purchased the SMK Westlake XHS3.22 gun in .22 form I immediately took it outside and shot 3 squirrels within 5 mins. I then tested the accuracy and shot a metal pole from 100 metres away!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took it up the woods and made targets with tin cans and from about 15m away and it ripped through that and stuck into the tree behind it. this is a great gun and would recommend it to anyone buying for the first time and at £30 a bargain.

At £30 the SMK Westlake XHS3.22 is a bargain. It is a break barrel loader and is single shot though the barrel is quite stiff at first but loosens up after a while. It is a good close range hunting gun and would kill a rat efficiently at about 8 metres away good for squirrels and pigeons tool. But couldn't kill a rabbit unless you got 5 metres away from it with a shot to the head. The best ammunition is the new spitfires from smk especially for hunting. At about 8 metres away the pellet wi ...
