    Good Points: Honda build quality and reliability. It fits half the space in the garage in our motorhome, the wife,s monkey fits alongside.


    Bad Points: With the uprated engine the kickstart level needed strengthening as it kept bending. FAR too expensive


    General comments: Had my honda ape 3 years nearly and had the 115 Kitako bore up kit, barrell, head with big valves and big carb fitted from new. Its smooooth and goes well providing you keep it revving.What this little bike really needs is a 400 CC engine shoehorned into it.

    The Honda Ape 100cc is a very nice little bike, great for commuting or just joy riding. Easy to handle, good value, fun to ride. Only badpoints are no fuel gauge and no electronic ignition.

    Unstable and slow, no responce on demand and to small for the north American market try yamaha bws, I think its a litle bit better.

    If you forget the price the Honda Ape 100cc is a cracking whiz about.

    The Honda Ape 100cc bike is not a UK spec bike, and really will only appeal to Monkey Bike enthusiasts. The bad points mentioned above can be sorted out by adding after market parts, which are available quite easily. OK its only 100cc (49cc also available) I have had it for 3 months now and its a great bike to take to the beach and have some fun.
    Cheap to run/insure and tax- beat the London congestion charge and buy a monkey bike!!!
