As a famly holiday Lefkas was a super choice. Vassiliki is a beautiful resort, with little family restaurants and bars next to the waterfront. Fantastic scenery and very friendly people. Very good quality food at a very resonable price from the restaurants to the family bakeries and the local wine is delicious. In the evening the town cam alive with locals & holiday makers though surprisingly the windsurfers didn't seem to come into the town much at night The beach was much nicer than... (read more)

I would definitely recommend Vassiliki as a holiday destination if you're looking for beautiful scenery and peace and quiet - we went in August and were surprised at the lack of people on the (pebbly) beaches during the day, although more people do seem to come out of the woodwork at night. There are just enough harbour-side restaurants to eat (very well) somewhere different every night of the week - fish and traditional Greek dishes aplenty.
