I chose this on the basis of a very favourable review in a TV/HiFi magazine. I can only assume that they only had it a few days, because that's as long as mine lasted.
I returned it to the supplier, that well known worldly pc shop, and they effected a repair that lasted about a fortnight.
Also, the remote control requires a powerful lamp and magnifying glass to be able to see to operate.
    Not a make I would ever choose again . . .
    . . .not even if it was free ! ! !

We bought a DMTech TV with built in DVD/Freeview. It's packed up after just 2 years. Absolute waste of money. Sound quality was always very poor.

I bought the dmtech 32" tv/dvd combi and was delighted to find out that the dvd was able to record tv programmes onto discs. WELLLLL I have only had it on my wall a week and the dvd has stopped working. It always made a loud whirring noise when playing but i just turned the volume up a bit but the last dvd i put in got stuck so it is now going back for a refund. Wish i had read up on it beforehand.Think i will now stick with a sperate dvd player.

We bought our dm tech tv two years ago, within a week it stopped working completely. We returned it to the shop we bought it from and they said it had to be returned to manufacturers. Two months later they sent us a new one.Now the replacement has completely broken down,it is out of warranty and our local tv repairman tells us it is irrepairable.I would say don`t even consider buying a tv made by this company!!!

I have had a DMTECH for about 12 months now, it works well as does the DVD and my grandson often plays his Playstation 3 through the set and no problems.

The DMTech DML-3117WD DVD player is not HD!!! Also after 14 months the TV suddenly developed a high pitched whistle and had a terrible smell of burning...I am still trying to get it fixed as the guarantee has run out!!

Intergrated Freeview & DVD Player... works well.

Buying something expensive as a LCD TV would certainly prompt me to take out an extended warranty whether it be with the company I bought it from or an insurance company. I actually have a 26" DM-Tech 3117WD tv, I bought it in 2006 with no warranty and also bough my father one at the same time. Touching wood all is well with both units no DVD fault or anything.

I think the DMTech DML-3117WD is the worst TV l have ever bought. It has it own mind when you press a key on the handsfree control it goes to a different position, sometime you click on and nothing happens until you try again. and now the handsfree control is not working even when you put new batteries in.

I gave this TV 10 points, but I am really giving these points to everyone who wrote a review on it. I was looking at buying one and WILL NOT after reading all the bad reviews. Thanks to all for the Heads up on this very poor product, saving me money and time. Will look for a much better TV... Thanks everyone! Cheers...

I was looking on the web to buy another one when I saw the comments on this site....I'm really suprised mine is a very good set that has had hours of kid hammer, games, DVD and TV.

Dvd never really worked, cant get the disc out- eject doesn't work, wont recognise genuine discs. Makes a lot of noise whirring the disc round n round! Operates via the remote intermittently. Poor Value for a lot of money. Dont bother. Choose another make.

This LCD TV/DVD combo was a present from my Step Dad, I found the receipt - it was expensive! I would have never purchased this TV myself.

Naively, i bought an integrated tv/dvd - my mates said "never buy integrated stuff - if one bit is broke, it's all broke" - how right they were - i will now have to buy a separate dvd player, which i should have done in the first place.

My advice: don't be duped, buy a good tv and a separate dvd player - more expensive, maybe, but by far more reliable.

DON'T BUY ONE!! I bought a 26" LCD/DVD combination back in 2005 from Leekes in Cross Hands, Ammanford, South Wales. No warranty purchased though at the time. Salesman not sure about reliability but reassured us that was a quality make. Attracted by integral DVD player as it was to be a 2nd TV for bedroom. Had difficulty obtaining wall bracket but found one and had improvise brackets and fixings. No problem though and TV worked a treat until early 2008. Then only the red dot would flash & could n ...
