The Mobs did not pay-up on the Cashback offer. They're website has mysteriously vanished, and I can not get hold of them by phone. The only way to get my money back is through an online claims court.

I have only just found out what is going on with the mobs as I sent my first 6 month claim form back last month and I have not had anything back so tried to ring and then tried to contact them via website but there is no joy either way, looks like i've lost my £300.

It was a very expensive deal in the end. I am going back to pay as you go now.

The Mobs did not pay out the cash back, and they now seem to have disappeared off the planet.

Never get a mobile phone which is cash back related. I only got my first cash back because I use to ring them after every two weeks but that was about 3 months late. They always use to say about they are having problems with their system, or their manager had gone on holiday.

Cashback was not paid out at all. On the first occasion this was due to a delivery note not being included. On the cashback voucher itself it said to send the voucher and your bill. They had buried the delivery note information in some very small print in the contract. On the second occasion I have been unable to contact them as I should have received £330 cashback and have in fact received £0 and have had a brick of a telephone for a year that I would not have chosen if I knew I wou ...

I took out a cashback deal 12mnths ago. My advice to anyone else is DON'T DO IT deal with the contract providers only.
The first claim was sent by recorded delivery, at the allotted time (after 6mths), with all the paperwork. The £165 did not materialize. It is proving impossible to contact them. Three, who the contract is with say that they have removed them from their list of agents because of this problem and also that there is nothing they can do. I will send in the final claim in a f ...

I took out a contract with The Mobs with the cash back promise, but it looks like I'm snookered now. I am very disappointed with 3, as they won't do anything, even to lower the rental, to help us out. Very bad customer service I say. There are loads of cheaper deals available out there. I certainly will not be renewing my contract when it expires, nor will I ever deal with 3 in the future.

I purchased 2 contracts with the mobs, Aug 2006. Sent all relevant paperwork by recorded delivery. When I telephoned they told me the original deliver note was not sent. I took photocopies of all the paperwork and again sent them another copy. When I telephoned them again, I was told the claim date had gone! I wrote to them 5 times, giving them deadlines, NO REPLY. I also contacted 3, who told me they would investigate, but have never contacted me since. I have now, wasted another £ ...

I've been trying to contact them as I'm still waiting for my cashback. Looks like it is lost forever. Never do the cashback thing. Don't spend what you can't afford to lose.

I bought phone package linked to 3 Network at £35/month with promised cash back of £29.01 per month. According to contract the first installment of cash back was after 6 months. The first cash back was due in October 2006. I send my bill and cashback voucher but still awaiting for my cash back. Send several emails. I didn't get an answer and neither have they paid my cash back. I would like these peoples to be accounted for.

I saw the deal with The Mobs, and I should have smelt the roses. It was just too good to be true. I have contacted Trading Standards, and they say pay the 3 contract or face the music. I would be grateful to have the details of the liquidators.

I have found out who the liquidators are who are taking on the Mobile Solutions case. I have not received any of the cashback offers promised to me, and after countless attempts by myself and by Three I felt like just giving up on it!!

I have just found out that there is nothing that Three can do about the cashback offer, as they no longer trade with Mobile Solutions, and after calling the Trading Standards Office, I managed to obtain the name and contact details of the liquidators of The Mo ...

I have had the same experience too. Has anyone cancelled their contract? I am willing to cancel my contract and let them take me to court, because I took the contract with The Mobs for the good cashback.

I ordered a phone from themobs.com over two weeks ago - their website has disappeared. I read here they've applied for voluntary liquidation. I have no contact details for them.

I guess I may be lucky cos I haven't spent any money yet - but if I order a phone from someone else will I end up with 2 bills? Would Orange be able to help - the contract was with them?

    Confused!

I have just found out they have gone into liquidation. No rebate then! Although I did get OK service from 3 Mobile, I am sure I could have got a cheaper one elsewhere. The lure of the £360 rebate was too good to be true. I have done a similar deal with Dial-A-Phone last year, and they paid up! 3 Mobile will not take any responsibility, as they do not own The Mobs. To swap onto a pay-as-you-go contract with 3 Mobile, it will cost me £231! I am not a happy bunny, as it is their agent t ...

It looks as if we will all have to whistle for the money we are owed from The Mobs, as according to BBC Watchdog, they have now applied for voluntary liquidation.

I fell into the trap of not sending the delivery note for the first cash back (strange it is not listed on the claim form to be returned), so for the last one I ensured everything was correct, and it was sent by recorded delivery, and I also rang up to be told everything was fine, and that my cash back would be processed. I waited and was told new software was at fault, and that it would be dealt with shortly, then I was told the money had been sent. I waited 1 week and rang back to be told comp ...

After umpteen phone calls, and intervention from the CAB. I eventually managed to get me 1st cashback from the aptly named 'The Mobs' 5 months late. My 2nd claim is due in January. All I can suggest is to contact the '3', 'Orange' or whatever operator and complain.

The Mobs force you to provide original phone bill at a particular date in your contract, then when you send all the details, the money does not arrive. The phone number you have to phone is only manned during the day and you will not get any joy, just someone fobbing you off and saying it's being processed.

Would not use again, very poor and unprofessional service, they do not deliver on their promises.

Package advertised and bought online from The Mobs. Delivery said to be within 48 hours. Eight days later, I phoned to enquire about the delay, only to be told that the package with Three was no longer available. A totally unsuitable alternative with Orange was offered to me (different supplier, different tariff, different phone, different contract period, different inclusive call minutes). I refused this offer, only to be told that I will be charged administration fees for cancelling. So beware ...
