Bad Points: The only thing I hate about it is that it DOES NOT READ SUBTITLES, so for watching movies with subtitles it is useless.

General comments: I own an Philips LX3600D system and I have to say I had no problem with it. Musically speaking it is nearly a blessing. I had some little sound problems but now the speakers seem to work just fine. I am quite bass-addicted, I Iike listening to music with that perfect bass that reaches even your stomach and this system is doing it very well. Right now I have it connected to my computer and works like a charm.

Clear sound. I had this for about 3 years now, still works.
If you connect it to a computer as I have, it plays really loud. Especially when you find the equalizer in iTunes. I made my neighbour mad.Well recommend Philips LX3600D.

Sound is quite good, good dvd player, until it broke...After about a year the speakers started making loud banging sounds, and the dvd player will turn of, I plugged in other speakers, to have the same result, this happened more and more, until now it turns itself of as soon as you turn it on, If any one has a fix for this problem please let me know.

Picture quality is good on the Philips LX3600D, as well as the sound quality. Remote tends to get stuck, as well as there is no feature to select all speakers at once. Overall, a great product, and i would say it is a good buy!

I bought the Philips LX3600D DVD Home Cinema System when my old DVD player broke, shortly after my stereo did. Thus I needed to replace the radio, CD and DVD, and I also wanted to conserve space, as I am in a smallish flat.
This fitted the bill and offered great value. AM/FM radio, DVD, MP3, CD, CDR/RW, jpeg, KODAK, 5.1 Dolby, and additional audio inputs, and all for £150! I actually got it at Sainsbury's.

The sound quality is great, and will easily fill a medium sized room. The additi ...

If you have a tight budget and couldn't find a decent system, this Philips LX3600D is the ultimate machine for you. The picture is crisp and clear. And the surround sound works like the real McCoy. One word: cool.
