Although i find the Viewfinder a bit small, the Leica Minilux Zoom has an excellent lens and durable body.
I took a picture of an elderly woman with silvery white hair moving in the breeze and side lighted by the sun. The hair details were incredible. Colour also excellent.
Take care to keep your left hand at the side of the camera, otherwise you'll inadvertently depress one of the top left buttons.

I hoped this would function as an easy to carry-around replacement for my other Leicas and Canon SLR. I also made a gross mistake by overlooking the totally unsatisfactory 250/s shutter speed before buying. This is a Leica that I cannot recommend because it lacks the essential functions and is too unreliable. The old Minox GT is far more trustworthy. Maybe it's time for a digital? (read more)

With the Leica Minilux Zoom, you just switch on point & shoot and it has a good view finder and clear lens. The flash cycle time is a bit slow but if you want a compact film camera, this is the one. (read more)
