Good Points: Sturdy and easy to use. Reliable.
Bad Points: Have had problems with the joystick, goes in all directions except down. Makes it hard to scroll through phone numbers etc.
General comments: Had the Philips 535 a long time and generally very pleased with it, apart from the joystick.

Thanks to Nedjma Telecom- Algeria, I got Philips 535 as a gift from Nedjma, three years back.
the set is perfect. Easy to use.
I had a problem with the joystick, and unfortunately I could not find the proper technician to repair it, they added another kind of joystick, it did not work, everyone says Philips is no good, the reason that Philips has no maintenance centre in Alger, and the price of spare parts are expensive. Now I can not get my phone numbers and photos from the set, the phone is ...- Read ahmed sharbaji's review (96 words)

I got the Philips 535 mobile phone after my old Nokia, and it seemed like a superb deal. It had a camera, and infrared, and it was stylish. And all for about £80 at the time. How wrong was I?
The phone has a good camera! The picture quality is actually OK. However, it very often freezes once a photo has been taken. So much so, that I had stopped using it. When on Demo mode, it froze every time. It froze while on the DJ mode. It froze while composing messages, and it froze when ...- Read Tingtong's review (223 words)

I don't recommend this phone to anyone. I have had my Philips 535 for about 1 year now. First month of buying it I had faults, (freezing, loosing signal, screen blur, changing language on its own) this all happens. Messaging is good if you don't have any of these faults. Having one of these faults always guaranteed, to cause another one. I have sent my phone back to be repaired, (4 months ago) and it still hasn't been returned. They can't find out why this is happening but won't replace it, even ...- Read boeder's review (264 words)

The Philips 535 has a good screen quality, good camera quality and pixel settings can be changed highest being 640 x 480. It has around 2 mb space for pics, ringtones, etc. It also has infrared which allows you to send and recieve files such as pics and ringtones. There's a ringtone mixer so you can mix your own tones.- Read Vaughan's review (83 words)
