Summary
The revolutionary design of the Motorola V3 took the phone world by storm - manufactured out of aircraft grade aluminium the phone is in some places impossibly thin and yet the screen is still crisp and all the features that you would expect in a modern mobile are still present.
The Motorola V3 went on to become the biggest selling phone in 2005 but how do you rate it against some of its major competitors. The sleek Nokia 6111 has just been released and is receiving high praise for its stylish design but what do you think? Why not discuss these two phones in this specially created forum.

motorola v3..i had one for two years and it was the best phone i've had,but as technology improves you do get better phones out there now but for it's day it was the best,my se w910i has just melted so iv'e order a nokia 5800 but as i'm waiting for deliverey i've just brought another v3 and will us it as a spare when my new phone arrives.the v3 still is a top phone and looks great too,if yo want a phone for texting and making & recieving calls then i highly recommend this phone.you can personlise this phone with themes, wallpapers, screensaver and mp3 ringtones of your choice and the v3i accepts micro sd memory cards for more storage.the camera is just a vga(1.3 mp on the v3i)but they work surprisingly well.overall a easy phone to use for anyone young or old

Motorola V3 is quite good for using it as a practical mobile phone but its lack of gadgets take its rating down quite a bit- Read Guest's review (31 words)

I've had my razr for 4 years now and generally have found it to be reliable. Admittedly, I don't do much with it - text messaging, calls and the occasional photo are about it, and I'm not particularly clumsy, although it has survived at least two drops down staircases!Problems arose the first time I had to change the battery. I've changed the battery three times now in the past 2 years and each time, despite the length of standby time and call time increasing immediately after changing the batte ...- Read Guest's review (155 words)

I was very disappointed with the reliability and reception and battery life of these phones. I bought three of them for my family and they were all poor performers (looked great though).- Read Guest's review (57 words)

Can't think of any good points about the Motorola V3 apart from quite cheap and slim. Although it doesn't break, has really short battery life and is just plain boring.- Read Guest's review (32 words)

The Motorola V3 RAZR is a slim sleek slider with a 2" screen. There are many downsides to the phone however, including the camera which cannot video record and is only VGA. The V3 has a very small internal memory, only 3mb in fact. The phone does not have space to insert a memory card of any kind.
The battery life is a different story, it dies after around 10 seconds of talk time.
Overall, I do not recommend this phone generally because of its poor battery life and inability to support memory c ...- Read Guest's review (124 words)

The Razr V3 is such a dependable phone. I have owned mine for 2 years. These phones are so hardy; I dropped mine down 3 flights of stairs and it still works great. The only flaw I have had is the delay when taking pictures. The sound will click when the picture takes, but there is actually a 2 second delay. Overall, I highly recommend this phone!!- Read Guest's review (64 words)

This phone is great for a simple phone but the memory is absolutely rubbish as I can only fit 1 song on which is useless! The memory is a big problem for me as if your song fits most of the memory then you cannot have many photos!
Overall this has worked but I am soooo looking forward to getting a new phone!
Cant wait :-D- Read Guest's review (72 words)

The Motorola V3 is absolutely Beautifully crafted it looks way ahead of any other mobile phone! It has numerous features it cost me under £30 from Tescos I love it. It does what it should do...Bluetooth takes a while to figure...Navigation after getting familiar with it in a week or two....gets very easy..Ringtones are very numerous for calling & text...it could have mp3 & radio but is very good for what it is I rate it 91/2 out of 10...Terry of Weston Super Mare- Read staggsy's review (105 words)

I've had this phone for a year and a half now. When I got it, I remember being very disappointed. I didn't find the camera very good. Videos taken were very poor quality and I've always had a problem with getting it to charge. There are also a few buttons that have stopped working. My birthday is coming up and I'm getting a new phone and in all honesty, I can't wait to get rid of of my V3.- Read stephc15's review (87 words)

So I've only had the Motorola V3 for about 3 or 4 months now but it hasn't failed me yet and I don't think it ever will. My friend Lilly just got her phone a few weeks before and I needed something to replace my W375 so I got this and she got so jealous. It was way better than my W375
I totally recommend this phone if you don't browse on the web a lot.- Read AnonymousA's review (104 words)

When I first got the phone I thought "Alright Its nice its cool... my mates will be jealous as it was the newest fashion type phone and had a really pretty sleek pink design."
It wasn't until about 6 months after I had the Motorola V3 that it went wrong. It started by switching off after someone picked up when I rang them and when sending messages. Then I noticed that the number 9 didn't work and neither did the directional buttons. Then the off button stopped working... and the button to start ...- Read SoLongAndGoodnight's review (405 words)

Why? The question that I keep asking myself over and over again after buying this phone. The only answer I find is that it looks good. The OS is the worst that I have ever seen. Why didn't Motorola just stick command line prompt in there instead, would probably be easier to navigate. The phone is slow. I could get to almost any menu position in under 5 seconds on Nokia, on here it takes forever and a day. It also lacks video recording! Why? The lower model V620 has video capture but the more exp ...- Read MrVent's review (267 words)

this was my first Motorola phone and I was pretty excited to have the v3 pink Razr.
im not a clumsy person and had looked after all my phones, this one included, and I've never dropped it in water or had water splashed onto it or dropped it.
I've had the phone just over a year, 1 year 5 months now. it had been playing up the last 2 weeks and suddenly died on me. I thought it was the battery and brought a new battery.
Nope. Not that!
