The revolutionary design of the Motorola V3 took the phone world by storm - manufactured out of aircraft grade aluminium the phone is in some places impossibly thin and yet the screen is still crisp and all the features that you would expect in a modern mobile are still present.
The Motorola V3 went on to become the biggest selling phone in 2005 but how do you rate it against some of its major competitors. The sleek Nokia 6111 has just been released and is receiving high praise for its stylish design but what do you think? Why not discuss these two phones in this specially created forum.

Good Points: -It is quite slim! 14mm! -Quite large screen 2" -Simple to use
Bad Points: -Camera is of a poor quality -Very small internal memory, only 3mb (no space for memory cards) -Battery life is terrible!
General comments: The Motorola V3 RAZR is a slim sleek slider with a 2" screen. There are many downsides to the phone however, including the camera which cannot video record and is only VGA. The V3 has a very small internal memory, only 3mb in fact. The phone does not have space to insert a memory card of any kind.
The battery life is a different story, it dies after around 10 seconds of talk time.
Overall, I do not recommend this phone generally because of its poor battery life and inability to support memory cards.

The Razr V3 is such a dependable phone. I have owned mine for 2 years. These phones are so hardy; I dropped mine down 3 flights of stairs and it still works great. The only flaw I have had is the delay when taking pictures. The sound will click when the picture takes, but there is actually a 2 second delay. Overall, I highly recommend this phone!!

This phone is great for a simple phone but the memory is absolutely rubbish as I can only fit 1 song on which is useless! The memory is a big problem for me as if your song fits most of the memory then you cannot have many photos!
Overall this has worked but I am soooo looking forward to getting a new phone!
Cant wait :-D

My moto V3 would say fully charged but it died after 30 min of talking. My screen went blacked out several times and i have only had the thing for 2 days.

Motorola TMobile Z3 turns OFF itself while talking, taking a photo, video or checking messages.
Same issues here after 3 phone replacements by T-Mobile Motorizer Z3
Also I thought I was the only one having issues with Z3 Phone but not, check out Motorola RIZR Z3 forum at http://www.phonescoop.com/forums/search.php?q=Motorola+RIZR+Z3
It will also reboot while just sitting idle.
Major Lint issue on behind the main display.

The Motorola V3 is absolutely Beautifully crafted it looks way ahead of any other mobile phone! It has numerous features it cost me under £30 from Tescos I love it. It does what it should do...Bluetooth takes a while to figure...Navigation after getting familiar with it in a week or two....gets very easy..Ringtones are very numerous for calling & text...it could have mp3 & radio but is very good for what it is I rate it 91/2 out of 10...Terry of Weston Super Mare

These phones break way to much, and the front screen on mine has blacked out countless time and now won't work. I do NOT recommend anyone to get this type of phone!!!

I've had this phone for a year and a half now. When I got it, I remember being very disappointed. I didn't find the camera very good. Videos taken were very poor quality and I've always had a problem with getting it to charge. There are also a few buttons that have stopped working. My birthday is coming up and I'm getting a new phone and in all honesty, I can't wait to get rid of of my V3.

So I've only had the Motorola V3 for about 3 or 4 months now but it hasn't failed me yet and I don't think it ever will. My friend Lilly just got her phone a few weeks before and I needed something to replace my W375 so I got this and she got so jealous. It was way better than my W375
I totally recommend this phone if you don't browse on the web a lot.

When I first got the phone I thought "Alright Its nice its cool... my mates will be jealous as it was the newest fashion type phone and had a really pretty sleek pink design."

Why? The question that I keep asking myself over and over again after buying this phone. The only answer I find is that it looks good. The OS is the worst that I have ever seen. Why didn't Motorola just stick command line prompt in there instead, would probably be easier to navigate. The phone is slow. I could get to almost any menu position in under 5 seconds on Nokia, on here it takes forever and a day. It also lacks video recording! Why? this was my first Motorola phone and I was pretty excited to have the v3 pink Razr.
im not a clumsy person and had looked after all my phones, this one included, and I've never dropped it in water or had water splashed onto it or dropped it.

I got my Motorola V3i in February 2006 and initially i wasn't impressed. I received 1 handset which broke when the "scroll right" button got stuck in and I couldn't use it for anything and then I got a replacement handset which arrived with a broken "cancel" button. When the 3rd handset arrived a was dubious about its performance to say the least, but it worked fine and has continued to do so for the last 14 months.

I bought this to upgrade from an old but much loved nokia - as this had bluetooth. I bought it mainly because it was reasonably priced but did seem very stylish. I couldn't be happier - once I got used to it it is quite easy to use, has more features than I think I would ever need, and I love it. I would highly recommend it - the battery life is excellent, it is neat and small - good choice of colours too - if that is important to you!

I advise you to think VERY hard before buying this phone as it isn't that reliable. On the 1st of February (1 year, 1 month, 6 days away from when I had it) I took my phone off charge (6.45am) to go to out and at 10.42am + it still said it was on charge. That is really annoying! It also find that the V3 crashes a lot.

Overall, if you are thinking about this phone, PLEASE don't because it hasn't fixed its kinks yet and Motorola really screws the customer by making a phone just look cool. I got hosed on this phone and I hope anyone who reads this really thinks twice about the razr, because now I'm stuck with it until 2009.

Its an OK phone I wouldn't jump up and down about it, got tired of it very easily but just didn't have the money to replace it, the battery doesn't last that long so always charging it in the car

I've had this phone since 07/06 and I've had problems with incoming calls since right after the 1st month of owning the phone. The problem is that whenever someone would call my phone it wouldn't ring. The ringer is set on HIGH and still nothing. However, when you go into the phone log it would list the phone call as being received not missed.
