Good Points: AirTran Airways are almost always on time. They have friendly people working on the plane. I would suggest to ride AirTran.
Bad Points: Crowded, not a smooth ride,
General comments: Air tran airways is very cheap. they have a lot of nice people working with them! I think that they could be a little more safer and be more helpful. But I would ride AirTran again.

Flew with AirTran Airways multiple times, and found the service to be fine; flights always on time, and aircraft in good shape. They also handled a severe peanut allergy better than any other airline from booking to completion. The XM radio is also nice. Don't let the LCC branding fool you, their service is great.

My luggage handle, which was not "protruding" per their rules, was completely ripped off upon my arrival. They cancelled my flight without letting me know and I had to wait 5 hours for the next flight, which was delayed 2.5 hours, and then cancelled. The next flight was 5 hours later. In total - I was waiting for 9 hours to hear that I would have to wait another 5 hours again. My bags had arrived before I did and the airline was COMPLETELY unhelpful in delivering my baggage. I flew from Tampa to Boston.....My flight was at 3:13 PM and it got delayed for 2 hours.....I reached Boston and my luggage was not there. I had to go through all those customer support to get my luggage. The flight was really nice but the air hostess were really rude.....they really don't know how to treat people. On time when the weather isn't bad. Excellent at getting checked bags on the plane young friendly crews. New planes, the oldest is 5 years old and if you upgrade at the gate your getting a deal for more snacks and free adult drinks and more room! Lowest fares around can't bet them!

When bad weather in New York canceled flights before the last weekend in February, AirTran Airways did a horrendous job of accommodating and communicating with passengers whose flights had been canceled. I had a horrible experience when flying with my wife and my 2 kids (2 &
6). We got seats only at the check in and then it appeared that all our seats were middle seats. They expected the 2 kids not to sit next to their parents!!! Airtran Airways is a low cost carrier and people expect to get amazing service but you have to remember no matter what airline you choose there will always be something unsatisfying. In flight crew has good customer service skills. Boarding system is easy going.

First off, they cancelled our connecting flight without notice and bumped us by 4 hours. I speculate that it was due to the flight not being fully booked, but I have no proof. Then our returning flight was delayed by 1 hour, causing us to miss our connection home, resulting in us spending the night in Atlanta and missing work the next day. We sincerely enjoyed our AirTran flight from BWI to Orlando and back, 11 days apart.
We had awesome attendants and pilots. The plane flew so smoothly. I cannot say enough good things about this airline.

I really disliked my AirTran Flight. I sat in a seat not knowing it was broken. Then I tried to switch seats, but the attendant said that I couldn't switch. I didn't understand this because there were still empty seats on the flight.
It felt like I waited forever for the flight to take off. It was a nice sunny day and the airport wasn't even crowded. It took 1 hour to get going. Later I was told the pilot was late getting on the flight.

1st time flyer - never again! AirTran Airways check-in at Dallas and Baltimore was poorly organized (like a zoo). Seating was poor and uncomfortable. Late start (45 minutes) out of Baltimore. Toilets in rear of cabin were never pumped out, and we could not use them.

Cramped, broken seats, overbooked flights. AirTran Airways also play favorites, as in some people they will re-open the loading doors for, but not others (which they did while I waited). Forget waiting for an empty seat on the next flight because they overbook many flights. I was waiting for 12 hours with my family. I just come back today and I knew I had to write a review on AirTran Airways. I had read all the reviews and I was expecting to have the worst possible flight experience. What I found out was totally the opposite. I did a round trip from Boston to Canton/ Akron, Ohio and back to Boston and I have the say that both flights were extremlly smooth and went without a hitch. The crew was extremely helpful and friendly, and they had both bevereges and snacks on such a short flight (1 hours 10 minutes). ...

AirTran airline is the most unhelpful, rude, and poorly run airline that I have ever been on. Employees don't know the definition of customer service and don't care. However, at least they don't fake it - they're rude and aren't afraid to show it.
Don't bother to call customer relations, they won't help.
