Had my Indesit IDE 45 s for 3 years. I have had it mended several times! It never got to work - I have given up on it now. It was expensive and it has coursed me nothing but troubble, time and money.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY from INDESIT- cheap and in the end expensive
I bought a slimline dishwasher within a month of it being fitted the controls had broken. You must fit as soon as it arrives it only has 1 month full guarantee SO Indesit informed me that they have a right to send in an engineer to repair it as many times as they want. The upshot -- he came 4 times to repair and replace different things. woman in customer care was rude eventually threatened the supplier with Consumer Advice - it co ...

probably the worst possible option, going for the cheaper make is false economy as we found out. we have only had it 15 months and for 5 of those we have had to rewash many items. the most recent problem is stopping mid wash cycle and the element heating up and glowing dangerously hot while still washing. i would NEVER buy another Indesit poduct - our indesit washing maschine also blew up. don't touch them!

My Indesit dishwasher does not clean properly, have to handwash lots of things again every time esp. from top rack. Encrusted salt residue most times. Have to switch on several times to turn on. Don't even bother to put the following dishes in if you've had anything oily, mashed potato, lentils, rice etc etc - probably only if you've been eating salad!

After sale service from Indesit very poor - a dishwasher should last longer than 14 months - especially as it was only used 3/4 times a week!! I'd NEVER purchase anything made by Indesit/Hotpoint again.

The Indesit dishwasher was the cheapest of all the ones we looked at. So wanting to save a few quid it's the one we went for. So far it has been a decent machine with no major issues. Essentially it's a simple machine with no extra bells and whistles.

My Indesit dishwasher was cheap, but it didn't clean very well, and it broke down every few months.

Take £200 into the back garden and burn it if you like, as you may as well if you buy an Indesit.

We inherited an old Hotpoint mashine with the house and after 12 years it packed up. Went shopping and looked at £400 dishwashers and at £200 dishwashers. The difference I now know is that a £400 dishwasher cleans and a £200 does not! Added to that the Indesit D61 has now packed up in less than 2 years I would not touch another Indesit product again. Very very poor.

BUY AN INDESIT DISHWASHER AT YOUR PERIL. HAD MINE 15 MONTHS ONLY, USED ONLY ONCE EVERY 2 DAYS. IT NOW TRIPS THE MAIN FUSE BOX EVERYTIME I SWITCH IT ON. PHONED INDESIT SERVICE DEPT. AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM, AND ALSO ASKED AS A GESTURE OF GOOD WILL, IF THEY WOULD FIX THE MACHINE AT NO COST, BEACUSE IT WAS ONLY JUST OVER THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THEY FLATLY REFUSED ME. DO NOT BUY A INDESIT DISHWASHER.

    YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

Quote from Indesit website "...they've got an easy to use, practical and long lasting appliance that'll still be helping them around the home for years to come."
Do they class 18 months as "years to come"?. I have (or should I say had!) a D63 dishwasher which yesterday blew up on me. An independent appliance engineer has had a look at this and said that the fault was caused by water getting into the underside of the machine (ie where the electrics are) and this should not be able to happen. Wel ...
