    Good Points: Powerful, accurate,one pump,sights are excellent,balanced,sleek.

Bad Points: Grip is a bit uncomfortabe, would like to see or make aftermarket grips of sticky rubber.

General comments: Overall, worth the extra $$$. Raptor gold ammo a little loose in the chamber, beeman a bit stiff, try cabelas ammo for this pistol.

I've bought this pistol at the beginning of 2005. Now I read many review about problems with this pistol and it's very strange for me because I didn't have any problem for 3 years. The speed is 175m/s for example for Gamo Hunter (0.47 grammes) as it was declared in many articles. Accuracy is also good enough. I am not a good shooter but I've got accuracy about 1 inch at 10 yards every time! Sometimes it's a little better. So it's very good, powerful and accurate pistol. ...

At first I thought I had a nice pistol, I loved the quiet power, but now it is too quiet, because it is BROKEN. I took it apart to see if I could figure out what was wrong, can't do it. I don't want to invest the shipping to send it back to get it fixed after the experience.

Factory quality control was completely lacking in my case. Groups were over 3 inches high at 10 meters in spite of maximum adjustment. My dealer won't exchange it, and I must now deal with service. Not a good first time RWS purchase.

I just got this pistol and decided to sight it in. It shoots low --even when rear sight is adjusted all the way up. Also shoots a bit to the right, but can compensate with rear sight. I think the problem is at least partly that the sights are not fixed to the barrel. Rear sight is located on the spring body and the front sight is located on the "compensator" which was loose before I tightened it. Power also does not seem to be anywhere near 700 fps as advertised. Suppose I'll be sending it bac ...

I got it from Pyramydair's. Had to wait for two months because they were out of stock. I heard that it had some bad time in past as the quality but now that is over. I think that if they would put front sight on the end of muzzle break it could be even more accurate. Of course it jerks as other break-barrel pistols but so far I didn't come close to accuracy of Diana with the others. It is also limited lifetime warranty that spells intergrity and confidence of producers. I think however that ...

I initially purchased a Diana P5 magnum about one year ago and ran into the problem of the pistol shooting low with max adjustments. I sent the pistol back to be repaired and once returned, I experienced the same problem. Also, I guess due to my gripping pistol improperly, accuracy was spotty. I could not achieve consistent performance. Eventually I sold the pistol. Recently I have read sparkling reviews of the pistol here and other places and decided to try once more. My second gun shot w ...

The literature that came with Diana P5 Magnum lacks detail. Example making trigger adjustments. Also gun comes with front barrel weight detached from gun. My gun was missing a very thin washer that needs to be fitted to barrel weight but dealer stated it wasn't a big deal. Once again lack of detail from RWS on adding barrel weight was disappointing. I have enjoyed shooting the pistol and I am pleased with it's accuracy and balance in my small hands. I believe it was a good value for th ...

Looking into Diana web site diana-airguns.de, it's possible to see that they acclaim 175 m/s for this P5 magnum. it is 574 fps. I think it is quite strange that in some other contexts they acclaim 700 fps (213 m/s). They say 7,5 joule 175 m/s. So 5.53ft/P, 574 fps.

I have a Webley Hurricane and a RWS 9N. and 2 Diana P5. The RWS's power is greater than the Hurricane by 30% and the P5 is bigger than the RWs by 30%. I am very happy with the P5 because it is very accurate. It can shoot up to 100 ft away and still be very accurate. I used 10,000 bullets in 3 months. Everyday I shoot in my backyard but after that, after 3 months, both P5s' spring broke and then 10 days after the repair. Both of the guns broke again. Then I repaired it again, and both the guns ha ...

I didn't do a lot of research on the Diana P5 Magnum before I bought it. My fault, but this is why I'm writing this review. I paid $220.00 American for this pistol and that's much too much according to other reviewers. It is very accurate, and very powerful. I plan to have a lot of fun with it. I'm a plinker not a paper target shooter and it handles well.

Although over rated velocity claims by the factory, the Diana P5 Magnum is not lacking in power. At 30 yards or less the P5 is an excellent choice for sport shooting, varmint control and target. It is easier to access and loads quicker than my spring rifles. It is the first choice I reach for to control varmint on my 1 acre lot. Your grip must be strong, but relaxed enough to allow the recoil to happen naturally. The more I shot this beautiful piece of hardware, the tighter the groups became ...

The gun is a .177 cal. I got the Diana P5 Magnum Air Pistol for $166 plus S&H and that was the best price I found, by a bit. Good looking gun, a bit long but I don't really mind. Hits hard for a pistol. Actual chrony tests; at least 5 ft. lbs. and the best (for pellets that I had to test with) 5.92 ft. lbs. with Beeman Siver Bears. Actual average velocity with the Silver Bears was 613 fps. So the gun should be quite close to advertised velocity of 700 fps. If you were to use the RWS Hobby pellet ...

I purchased my Diana P5 Magnum Air Pistol for 220 euros in Brugge-Belgium. At first I was amazed a bit by the flat trajectory and power of this .177 pistol. Aiming at distances of 10, 18 and 25 metres are almost identical. At 25 metres the pellets fully embedded in a (birch) wooden block and this after only a 100 pellets brake-in. Flippin' Heck! The pellets I use are .177 BSA Storm pointed pellets. Can't wait till next shooting session. Erwin from Belgium in Europe.

At first I didn't know what to think about my .177 Diana P5 Magnum; heavy recoil, quite high cocking effort, and lots of vibration. The thing kicked so hard it almost yanked itself out of my hand. But I didn't give up, and kept shooting it. After about 300 rounds it started to settle down and kick a little less and also seemed a little easier to cock while still hitting the target with alot of energy. Through the next tin of pellets the gun proceeded to settle in further and after about 700 roun ...

My Diana P5 Magnum (.177) arrived sooner than I expected and boy what a humungous pistol. It's certainly too small for a rifle. 18" long and compare that to my HW45 or P1 is only 11" and I thought that was big but it might need that long barrel to make it easier to cock. It shoots very well as good as my HW45 or a bit better. Power wise it's relatively equal as Beeman P1 (HW45), tested on chrono very steady 594.2 to 595.6 fps. It punctured a tomato-can right through both sides at 40ft with Beema ...

I agree with other reviewers who question the power-rating of the Diana P5 Magnum gun. I doubt the P5 Magnum is the most powerful (spring piston) pistol available. My Beeman P1, rated at 600 FPS in .177, packs noticeably more punch based on penetration tests with wood, cans, old books and general trajectory observations. The fact that the P5 is quieter attests to same; less pressure being forced down the barrel. Lacking a chrono, I don't have specifics, but it appears that the P5 Magnum (aka ...

Well this is an early review of my Diana P5 Magnum. These guns are supposed to improve with age after a suitable "break in" period and I am certianly not finished breaking this baby in, but just the same I will give a few of my initial impressions of this gun so far.. Firstly , this is a fun little pistol. It has its own personality that I have seen people either love or hate.. I guess you can guess which group I fall into. The cocking effort is a bit much, but causes more trouble for women ...

I like this pistol! It is accurate. I hit 1 1/2 inch spinning targets regularly from 20-25 yards away. The firing sequence is smooth and quiet. The front red fiber optic sight and the rear green sight combine to make a sharp sight picture. The trigger breaks cleanly allowing an easy follow through--your sight picture is not disturbed. One problem: sometimes the safety mechanism locks the trigger. I'd like to disable the safety but I don't want to void my warranty. This pistol is a high qu ...
