    Good Points: sounds sweet & fine with good tweeter and delicate built


    Bad Points: when use new you will found less bass , surely will improve after a run-in time , and sounds more even !!


    General comments: Castle Acoustics Richmond 3 good price and save space.

    I bought these when I bought an AV amp to compliment the Castle Howards I had as fronts.
    The tonal balance is spot on no gaps in the sound, ok, they don't go down to 30Hz but in a bookshelf speaker of such a diminuative size they go surprisingly deep. I believe Castle make their own drivers, then there must be some envious speaker manufacturers out there.

    My Castle Acoustics Richmond 3 were purchased to replace the supplied speakers in a Denon UD-M30 micro system. They're used in a small bedsit 3.5 x 3.5m.

    From straight out of the box they sounded far better than the speakers they replaced; now they are beginning to run-in (60 hrs at least) they are gorgeous. The treble is sweet, yet can reproduce HF from both metallic and non-metallic sources with equal candour; midrange is clear, powerful and uncoloured - voices, sung or spoken, are very c ...
